138 CHAPTER 138: THE LETTER

Larry was on leave for two days since he needs to attend his great grandpa's wake so Lisa had to do an extra job. Caleb doesn't need to go back to work since he was originally Aisha's personal assistant. And since the managerial position was passed down to Larry, Caleb was not needed any longer.

Also, Caleb needs to go back to North State per his father's command. He was task to watch over the mansion and the organization silently. No one should know about his original agenda. Though he went back to North State last week, Caleb never failed to call Lisa at least once a day.

Lisa was fixing all the documents that Ethan needs to review and sign when a letter fell from one of the documents. Lisa creased a brow but she picked it up.

A letter for Aisha? she was thinking whether to open it or just give it to Aisha. But it's bizarre. Why is a letter hidden among the documents? What if it was a death threat? Lisa shrugged her pessimistic thoughts. Whether it is a death threat or not, Aisha needs to know since it was addressed to her.

She placed the letter inside her bag then scooped the documents and trek the way to the elevator to Ethan's office. She left the documents to Dorothy since Ethan attended the dinner event at an orphanage.

Then she looked at her wristwatch, it is still five in the afternoon but she's already tired and a bit sleepy. She went down to the company's bakeshop to get some sugars when she suddenly bumped into someone.

"Sorry! I didn't mean it." Lisa kowtowed yet the man remained standing. Seems like he doesn't have a plan to move on the sides. So she looked up to see a smirking familiar figure.

"Kian?"

"Hi Lisa. Long time no see." he smiled.

"I-I'm fine. How about you?" Lisa grinned uncomfortably. Caleb had warned her about Kian but she doesn't know why since Kian has been good to her.

"Want to grab a coffee? it's on me." he offered.

"Eh?" Lisa was taken aback but then she agreed after some thoughts. "Sure, I need it very badly." she smiled then they sat at one of the tables.

Kian paid for two coffees and two cakes for both of them as they spent some minutes catching up.

"How's Stacy? I haven't seen her for like ages." Kian tried to hide his real intention.

"She's fine. She's doing great right now." she smiled nonchalantly. She was aware that no one knew about Aisha's real identity yet in the company.

"Oh that's good to know. I really miss hanging out with her. isn't she coming to work?"

"Ah nah. Her position was given to someone. But according to her, she already got a new job." Lisa replied.

"Oh, okay. so where is she working now?"

"That I don't know. I haven't spoken to her about it yet."

"Oh I see. that's good then." He faked a smile.

Lisa didn't notice his change of mood after since she was engrossed with her own coffee. she must have been too tired to notice her surroundings.

Kian, on the other hand, was in deep thought.

***Meanwhile, Ethan had attended a dinner event at Angel's home orphanage since he was one of the major sponsor for quite a long time. It was a thanksgiving dinner held once in a quarter to welcome and honor new sponsors and donors.

All the new sponsors were acknowledged and were given a plaque of appreciation. Aside from attending the dinner night, Ethan also need to give an inspirational speech for everyone. he totally forgot about the said event so he only spoke a few words and ended it quickly. But he made sure that the words he left would impact the people as well as the children present.

For the sponsors, he spoke about generosity and gratefulness. "We are blessed to be a blessing." He ended his speech towards the sponsors and staffs with these statements. When he spoke to the children, he encouraged them about love, compassion and camaraderie. He also talked about his anti-bullying campaign. He further expanded what he meant when he said, "Never looked down on anyone just because you are stronger now, not because they are weaker than you—for now. you never know what God has stored for that person. The person you bullied now might be your manager soon. The person whom you bullied right now might become your CEO soon. So build friendship and memories instead of hurts and scars."

He was given a standing ovation for the brief encouragement that he gave. After his speech, the children at the orphanage presented some songs, dances and funny dramas. It was indeed a night to enjoy with these pure and innocent souls.

"Good evening Mr. Williams. I must say that I was inspired with your speech earlier." the man sat beside him.

"Thank you." he kowtowed.

"By the way, my name is Flynn Sympson. I hope to gain your favor tonight." He lightly joked.

Ethan chuckled. "I hope I am not facing a politician right now because I usually shuns them." Ethan spoke straightforward.

"Don't worry, I'm just but a lowly business man." Flynn chuckled. "By the way, if you don't mind, I wish to invite you tomorrow evening at Taniya Galleria. It's an art symposium. all the crafts where created by the children from different orphanages and the Angel's home orphanage have some entries as well. We also some entries from the homes for the aged in the whole city of Central State. I hope you can find time to support this event."

"Looks like a virtuous event. I'll try to find time for it. thanks for letting me know." He smiled genuinely at the middle-age man.

"Thank you." Flynn took something in his jacket then handed it to Ethan. "I have two tickets here. Take this so you could bring your wife as well."

"Thank you." he took the tickets then place it inside his jacket.

"I shall take my leave then." Flynn excused himself then excited the orphanage with a victorious smile.

As soon as he got to his car, he took his phone and dialed a number.

"Plan A. prepare for tomorrow's event." then he hung. "My daughter, just wait. I will get the justice that you deserve." He grinned evilly.
