233 CHAPTER 233: REDEMPTION PLAN

It was the final day for her medication.

The necessary preparation for the bone marrow transplant was successful that the doctor scheduled her operation the next day. the person who was listed as the donor got sick a couple of days ago and so they couldn't use him for the time being. But since Sherry is available, then they could proceed for the transplant since another delay might harm Stacy's body.

"Please be prepared for tomorrow's operation. Please have enough rest today." the male doctor advised Sherry.

"Yes doctor. Thank you so much." She replied.

The doctor smiled at her then to Stacy who looks uneasy since this morning. "Don't worry miss Stacy, everything's gonna be alright." He assured before he exited the room. the four men who was guarding the room kowtowed as soon as they saw the doctor got out, then back to their duties again.

"Mom, I'm afraid."

"Afraid of what? for the operation tomorrow?"

"Ehm." She nodded. "What if…" she paused.

"Shhh… Stacy, don't be afraid. This time, mom is with you. everything's gonna be alright, okay?" she strokes her hair to at least lessen the fear within her. "Everything's gonna be alright dear. So take a rest for a while." She whispered.

"Okay. You too, mom."

As soon as Stacy doze off, Sherry went out and sat on the couch. Then she took the remote control and open the television. Her mind is in frenzy thinking a lot of things, but she needs to calm down.

She wanted to go with Rio earlier but he refused. Ethan couldn't bring her either at the Island. she needs to entertain herself to shrug off her thoughts. She needs to trust Rio and Ethan. Rio dealing with Silver and his men while Ethan goes to the island to save her daughter Erika. Ah! She can't stop thinking about them!

She couldn't concentrate on what she was watching either so she turned it off and went to bed. However, thirty minutes had passed but seems like the spirit of sleep left the room too. Dang! she cursed. She wakes up and took her phone out, then dialed Rio's phone number. she had five call attempts but Rio is not answering nor received a message. Fudge! What is happening in there? are they still alive? ah! She worries about that man who knows no fear.

Then she attempted to call Archie, then Sophie and Hunter but to no avail. Damn! What is happening out there? is everyone still alive? she cursed. Then she started pacing back and forth. Why couldn't she reach anyone?

She was biting her nails unconsciously. Yeah, it was one of her mannerism when she gets nervous all of a sudden. Her hands were a bit shaking. Oh God please, let everyone be safe. She whispered a silent prayer. Then she remembered Ethan and called him. alas! Her calls got through.

"Ethan, how are you?" her voice was shivering.

"Miss Sherry, we're still on our way to the island." the young man replied. "We will probably arrive in the morning."

"O-okay… please be careful." She released a sigh.

Ethan could feel the woman's reservations over the line. It was too obvious when she released a heavy sigh.

"Miss Sherry, please don't worry too much and get a rest. Leave everything to us… we will definitely save Aisha and Silver's wickedness will soon end." He assured her.

Yes, that's right. she needs to calm down. worrying too much wouldn't help at all. she needs to believe in them. for now, she should think about Stacy's operation for tomorrow.

As soon as the call got disconnected, Ethan continued to browse the blue file envelope that they got from Silver's house. Yes, they were able to acquire a search warrant and raided the house immediately. Good thing they were early, cause if not, then Silver's lawyer could have taken it if they were a minute late.

"Ah, this man… so he was responsible for the illegal firearms too, huh." Ethan scoffed.

"Isn't he the wisest among the wise?" Shawn chuckled. "So this operation really needed a careful planning before entering the island huh."

"Yeah…" Ethan sighed. "Shawn, gather all the leaders of each unit as soon as we reach the port and use this information to plan your move." He handed him the blue file envelope.

"Are you not joining us?"

"Les and I will go before you."

"You sure you won't take some men with you?"

"You will be coming next, right?" he raised his brow at Shawn.

"Ha-ha-ha!" Shawn suddenly laughed. "Relax man." he tapped his shoulder. "Of course, we will! How should I abandon my master?"

Les kinda smiled a little. This boss and servant kind of relationship, he likes it.

"By the way, you were able to talk to Aisha, right?" Ethan suddenly asked the man seating beside him.

"Y-yes sir…" he replied.

"How is she?"

Les could see the worry in his eyes and so he smiled.

"Miss Aisha knew you would be sad like that and so she wanted me to deliver the message. I don't know what was written in there but I'm sure of one thing." Les uttered. "She doesn't want you to feel bad about what happen to her."

Ethan jerked from where he was sitting then averted his eyes on the window. Of course, who wouldn't blame themselves if they failed to protect their woman?

"She's doing fine, sir." he continued. "I know I may be overstepping my boundaries if I say this but don't worry about her. she's a strong woman."

Ethan wanted to ask something but he was hesitating. He doesn't even know why but Les could have sense his reservation and so he pro-actively answered.

"And the baby was fine too."

"You knew?" Ethan instantly faced him.

"Ehm." He nodded. "One could easily tell that she's pregnant in just one glance." he beamed.

So her tummy got a little bigger now, huh. Ethan grinned. Ah! Now he started to worry again. Dang!

***

Aisha was leaning on the bars while her head touches her knees. Yes, they put her behind bars and assigned two men at the doorway to watch every one who enters in and out.

There's no way she could escape right now.

"You ruined my life!" her uncle Liam's words echoed inside her head. Then involuntarily, her mind recalled an event when she was still young. it was her father Cole's words.

"you ruined my life! your mere presence is already giving your mother a nightmare, do you know that?" Cole didn't just blurt those words out of nowhere. He kept repeating them over and over again.

A mistake. A nightmare. A bad premonition. Bad luck and more…. now, Aisha was thinking why she and her twin sister was considered as such things by their own father. what happen? What does their birth have to do something with being a nightmare to their mother? If she thinks about it now, Cole had been acting distant towards them which a sane father shouldn't have done.

Leaving them helplessly in the middle of the night, could a real father do that? She had never experienced such a thing when she was with Rio's care, and she's thankful about it.

Wait! could it be that Cole isn't their ….Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.comfor visiting.

"Ah, Aisha… stop it!" she shrugged off her thoughts. Whether Cole is their true father or not, she doesn't care anymore. all she cares is having a good father-figure like Rio, and that's more than enough.

she was in deep thought when she suddenly felt someone grabbed her hand from behind.

"Aisha!" it was Jane Doe holding a tray of food and a key? Where did she get that?

"I'll help you get out of here!" she whispered after she opened the lock.

Aisha sighed. "There's no other way out aside from that door. It's impossible for both of us to get out without being noticed."

Jane smirked. "Of course we will be caught instantly! Who said we will both go out together?" she raised her brow.

"Jane, stop what you're thinking. If your telling me to swap dress with you so I could go out, then you better stop right there. they will kill you!"

"Miss Aisha, trust me. I'm a great actress." She smirked.

Aisha looked at the woman thoroughly. She was determined.

"Do you really want to do this, Jane?" she hesitantly asked.

"Miss Aisha, please let me do something good in my life. I have failed to protect a friend before and I don't want to bear such terrible guilt of doing nothing while she passed away in front of me. please let me at least redeem myself by helping you out."

"Okay. let's do that then." the woman smiled contentedly.
