260 CHAPTER 260: LET's BE FRIENDS!

They were looking at each other intently.

Alex couldn't determine what kind of atmosphere therein inside. Oh no... the chill inside the room is getting eerie. Knowing her daughter, she will definitely go berserk. The child didn't response but Alex can tell that she's listening.

'' I need you to be still while mom is away. Don't disturb him while his working, okay? Can you promise me that?''

'' Okay!'' The little girl yelped. ''But can I play with those things that he bought for me?'' Her eyes were pleading.

'' Not yet, no for now. I need to talk to him about those stuffs first. You understand what mommy means, right?''

The little girl lowered her head in dissapointment. '' Okay...''

Alex felt the guilt within her but she can't just accept anything from that man. As far as she knows, the brand of those toys and who knows what else was there was way too expensive. And she's a bit bothered by the man's sudden actions.

Therefore, she caresses the child's hair before standing up. Then she took the documents and walk towards Ethan.

'' I'll just go and give these documents to the managers. And I'm sorry about my daughter. If she ever disturb you then please let me know as soon as possible.'' She uttered apologetically.

'' It's okay, Alex. Just leave her to me.'' He smiled.

Alex was actually hesitating to leave the little girl and she doesn't even know why. Why is she feeling that something is about to happen later? She sighed deeply and looked at her daughter before she exited the room.

There are five documents that she needs to deliver to five different managers. It was okay for her but then she's bothered about the other one since it was a bit away from the hotel. She might spend thirty minutes going to and fro, but she can't afford to stay long outside considering Mira is at the office. Dang! She needs to be back as soon as possible.

'' Yes.'' She sighed.

'' Mira, my name is Ethan. those toys are yours, so why not use it instead?''

'' cause mom said not to accept anything from strangers.'' She innocently asked.

''Stranger?'' The man seemed to be thinking. '' Well, your mom is right. But I'm not a stranger in your mother's eyes since she's been working with me for weeks now but I may be to you...hmmm...'' he was caressing his jawline thinking how to make the situation better.
