///// Timeskip - A Month Later/////
The section/term has finally come to a close and the period of exams has begun. Vincent and his fellow winners were exempted from such stress but they still chose to enroll in the Mercenary Program, because of that he and all those that chose this optional exam route will be heading to the mercenary guild today with a school escort.
Vincent was in the process of packing his belongings and luggage, he inferred that he'll do so now and leave with it later when he returns from his outing today.
As he was packing, He heard a knock on his door.
"Who's that?" He asked.
"It's me, Ama. Can I come in?" Ama answered back.
"Sure it's open."
The door unlocked and Ama Ivory walked in. She shut the door behind her and moved forward to sit on Vincent's bed. For a while, she quietly watched Vincent as he arranged his clothing.
"Do you need anything?" Vincent inquired curiously.
"......."
"Ama?"
"You know what my bloodline is, don't you?", She stated.
Vincent paused in silence for a while, then answered back, "Yes, Yes I do"
"..... I see," She mumbled
"You know, I have been thinking. Not only do you know about my bloodline, but you also know about my illusion ability. That could only mean that you are also like me."
"What brought this on Ama?." Vincent raised a question of his own in return, "it has been a while since I had done that. Yet you are just confronting me now."
Ama shrugged and retorted, "I did not need to confront you before because there was no need to. I thought that I could simply shut you up permanently."
"And what changed?" Vincent asked.
"...."
She kept silent for a while before letting out a sigh and replied.
"I achieved 3067 points in the Hunt event, through painstaking effort. If I did not use ether nexus and strength boost potions, I wouldn't have been capable of achieving such a result."
Ama then pointed at him, "Yet you were only two points shorter than me but I am sure that you achieved that with less effort than I had put in."
"You are stronger than me and are also able to discern my illusions. It would be stupid of me to try to assassinate you." She explained as she shrugged.
"Either way, am I right? Are you also a descendant of the ancestral ten-tailed fox Cadmean."
[AN: The god/Ancestor of the Fox Bloodline is Cadmean.]
"Sigh" Vincent breathed out exasperated.
After letting out a long sigh, he enveloped himself and Ama into an Invisibility Illusion and Ether cloak range of the [One With Nature] skill.
Before he began to speak, he saw that Ama had an unfocused face then realized.
"Oh, She must be in shock from being suddenly connected to nature", He presumed.
"I should knock her out of it."
Vincent went on to let out his 9-tails and manipulated one of them to hit Ama harshly on her head, snapping her out of her trance.
"Hey!" She cried, "Did you just hit me!?" She shouted at him, as she held her head in pain.
Ama glanced behind Vincent to see his 9 tails moving around like it had its own and was immediately stunned by words.
"Wait! How do you have nine tails!?" she asked, closing the distance between her and Vincent.
"Only fox ancestors or those that have pure bloodline have that. Even then, they don't have nine at your age."
"Is it that much of a deal?" Vincent asked, stunned.
"Of course it is!, Look", Ama replied and proceeded to let out her tails, which were four in number, "I have trained all my life and I only have four tails"
"You having nine at this age should be possible"
"Have you taken into account that maybe I'm just better than you?" Vincent said smugly.
Ama snapped and glared at him in anger which promptly made him look away. She kept her glare for a few seconds before letting out another sigh and laid on his bed.
"It's more surprising that there's another Cadmean descendant apart from me. I always thought that it was the last. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this " She said absentmindedly
Ama then jumped off the bed and walked towards the door. She twisted and opened it but stopped and said to Vincent
"Now that assassination is out the window, I can only ask you for a favor."
"And what is that?" Vincent asked curiously.
"No one must learn of our bloodline." She said in absolute seriousness
"No one at all, you get that?. There's a reason why we were massacred in the first place?"
Vincent acknowledged her words with a nod, and she smiled in return. As she was about to leave, he suddenly stopped her.
"Wait!" He declared
"What!?"
"I just want to ask, what is the endgame of all this Ama?."
"Enrolling in Aemplefort, Clouding yourself with an illusion. What do you hope to achieve?"
'What I hope to achieve……', She thought to herself, "Revenge", She replied with a cold tone then left the room and closed the door behind her.
".....Sigh, Troublesome," Vincent mumbled under his breath absentmindedly.
[Troublesome indeed] The system added.

Vincent was now gathered with his fellow examinees at the gates of Aemplefort school.
Before them stood the schools escort, Who is a man who stood 5' 2 tall, with a solidly-built figure, white skin, dark blue eyes, and shoulder-length, curly, light brown hair
He wore light chainmail crossed armor, with a sword strapped to his side.
He stood in front of the carriages, which were just enough for the 20 students that chose this course.
Soon the participants gathered at the gate and it was time to depart
"Let's go." He said simply and walked out into a carriage, and they followed after.
///// Few Hours Later /////
The carriage had finally arrived at its destination far within Aemplefort.
The Mercenary Guild.
The building of the guild was relatively not too much, it is a four-story building. Which was styled with a medieval feel.
On the center of the building was an emblem which was the guild's coat of arms, A green shield surrounded by the numerous animals of the forests, which includes fox, wolf, raven, lion, elephant, etc. On top of that shield was a golden crown.
After getting off the carriage, The school's escort led them in. The interior of the guild was not over the top too, It was a wide space at which a set of round tables and chairs were placed on either side of the room. Leaving a straight path to the receptionist's table.
The escort led the student to the table, where the receptionist stood behind awaiting them. The receptionist was a thin beautiful lady, standing at 5'4,
with white creamy skin and jewel blue eyes. She was also a well-endowed woman.
The horny boys among the group blushed at the charming smile she gave them while the females amongst them sneered in anger and hidden jealousy.
"Welcome Mr. Aldrich, Are these all the kids?"
"Yes, Sign them up for me, would you" He replied
"On it"
Then the process began, Each student who enrolled was called forward. They signed a form then were given a plastic card that contained their name, age, gender, and rank.
All the students who enrolled except for Ama, Amelia, and Vincent were given the lowest rank possible, The E-Rank.
Amelia, Ama, and Vincent were given a silver plate instead which on it was the Rank-B.
The students noticed the difference in what they were given but did not complain except for a certain individual.
"What!, Why am I an E-Rank"
And that person was Taudar Maeth.
He immediately got in the face of the receptionist with so much anger then shouted at her.
"Why am I an E-Rank! Why are they B-Ranks? DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM"
"I am an A-Rank student who is stronger than all of them combined, So why am I an E-Rank?. Explain to me, woman, before I show you what a maeth can do.." He ordered proudly.
Taudar's rant drew the attention of the people who were there. Some of them were about to take action but were signified to sit back by the receptionist's glance.
She then turned back to Taudar and said a single sentence that shut him up in his stride.
"If you are so powerful, Where were you during the stampede?"
Taudar choked out his words in surprise, He tried to respond but did not have the words to do so.
Seeing the former proud boy put in his place, The mercenaries around began to laugh. Adding to his embarrassment.
Even his fellow students chuckled at the stupidity displayed by Taudar.
Ignoring the stunned face of Taudar, The receptionist faced Mr. Aldrich and said.
"Should I explain how ranks work or would you?"
"Go ahead"
"Ok."
