The man that walked in the door had brown hair and was on the shorter side. When he came to sit in front of me I saw his dull brown eyes before he smiled at me.
"Hi, my name is Oscar. It is a pleasure to meet you, your majesty" he told me in a scratchy voice.
"Nice to meet you too, I have some questions for you if that is ok?" I asked him, I don't know him or have never seen him in my life.
"Of course, I can tell you some things first to eliminate some of them. I am twenty-five, I have three sisters, and parents are no longer around. I am from one of the lower covers in Alabama, but I was the top of my magic class and well known for my powers there" he flashed his smile at me again.
"Ok... What are your powers?" I was curious now.
"I can't do this" and he blinked, but I didn't see anything change.
"Where did he go?" asked Kelvin running behind me to protect me.
"What do you mean? He is still sitting in front of me" I told Kelvin and looked at him like he lost his mind.
"You can still see me?" Oscar asked me with a grin on his face.
"Yes, why?" I looked at Kelvin still looking around the room, and I looked back at Oscar.
"I have the ability to disappear, I am basically invisible. You, however, are a true queen if you can still see me, that is wonderful!" he blinked his eyes and laughed excitedly.
"Don't do that again" Kelvin pointed at Oscar and scowled before walking back towards his corner.
"That would come in handy" I giggled at Kelvin's response, and Oscar made an even bigger smile.
"Do you have any more questions, your majesty?"
"Yes, why do you want to marry me?" I asked him, making my face go back to a firm look.
"Well, honestly, because I am a caring man, I believe in the cause to help restore order back to our kind. I could be a great asset, and I'm sure love would come later in our marriage, I think it would be worth it" he told me with such passion, I understand what he means, he has a passion for getting rid of any merdique as I do.
"Thank you for your honesty. Our time is up for the day, it was a pleasure to meet you" I told him.
He bowed, kissing my hand before leaving out the door. I sighed loudly before I got up from my chair ready to leave for the day and make my choice.
I reached the door that Kelvin was holding open for me when I heard someone say "Hold on" and I turned to see Buford walking through the door.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him a little breathless, no matter how mad I am at him, he still takes my breath away.
"They didn't tell you?" he said with a smirk, reaching me faster than I realized he was walking.
"Tell me what?" he grabbed my hands and pulled them up to kiss my knuckles.
"Tell you that they chose three of us this year" he said.
It took me a few seconds of looking at his handsome face for me to realize what he said, oh my God they chose three eligible bachelors instead of two, no wonder why Claudette was smirking when she left.
I looked up at him under my lashes, a shy smile turning up on my face and I whispered "Really? are you my third?"
"Yes" he leaned down and whispered back. His face was so close to mine, he was still holding my hands, and my heartfelt like it was pounding out of my chest.
I broke away from his hold and backed up a few feet "I... umm.." I couldn't form a sentence to save my life.
"I know I have been distant lately, I knew this was going to happen. I tried to stay away, I tried to stop my feelings for you, I did what I could, even if that meant pushing you away. I'm sorry, I really am, I love you too, I just had to make sure I was worthy..." he looked at me with so much passion.
I felt a tear fall down my face "Why didn't you just tell me? You knew about this... you let me think the worse... why didn't you just tell me!" I screamed at Buford.
My feet started moving and the next thing I knew I was climbing in the car, I felt my magic start to go haywire but I didn't care at the moment.
Kelvin hopped in the car on my heels and pulled out of the driveway, squeezing the tires "Hold on Acadia, I'm bringing you to a field to release your magic, just hold on"
