*Kelvin's POV*
The car was shaking with Acadia in the back, I just kept telling her to hold while trying to keep the car on the road. In just a few minutes we will be in an open field that is secluded, it helps that I am breaking the spread limit by triple.
I wanted to take my queens pain away, I would go back and beat both of those stubborn guys up if she wanted, no matter if one was my cousin or not, they are selfish.
I finally came upon the empty cotton field that was behind one of our mansions and pulled to a sudden stop, I hopped out and ran to open her door.
She stumbled out and the look in her eyes was feral, her feelings were everywhere, and I knew there was no talking her down this time.
She ran into the field a few steps and falter, falling on her knees, then her powers were going haywire, I didn't know what to do.
I ran to the truck to get my cell phone, I had to call the woman that was always on my mind, the one that kept me in constant smiles when I thought of her, she would know what to do.
"Hey, Kelvin" I heard her answer breathlessly.
"Zaline... It's Acadia, I need help" I told her on the phone, controlling my voice, so she didn't hear either the panic or the longing for her.
"What's wrong? Where are you?" he voice went to panic mode, and I filled her in on everything, she told me she would be there in less than ten minutes.
I turned around to look at Acadia, she was just sitting there still in the middle of the field, charred areas around her, but the crying continued.
She started to levitate and talking to herself, I started to panic as she turned in slow circles, I caught a glimpse of her eyes and they were turning jet black, the wind picking up around us.
I couldn't hear what she was saying, but just the pure power coming from her was enough to make a human run in fear, if she wasn't my queen, I would be right behind them.
Zaline showed up, which seemed like it was only minutes since she got off the phone with me, but I had been watching Acadia for longer than I thought.
"What should we do?" I yelled over the wind whipping around us almost hurricane force like, I was on the other side of the truck now to stay on my feet.
Zaline handed me her bag, which I set in the truck, and she walked around towards Acadia.
"She needs to smash something or kill it" She yelled back at me. I understood what she meant, we needed to let her get her anger out so her magic calms down.
She nodded at me, and I sent my clones out towards Acadia, it didn't take her long to start throwing her magic at them, making them dissipate once they were hit. It seemed to be working, but not enough, so Zaline sent out some ghouls and ghosts that gave Acadia more of a chase.
Our magic was waning after forty-five minutes of doing this in shifts, but thank the voodoo spirits, Acadia seemed to finally calm down, she floated back to the ground.
"Acadia, oh Hunny" Zaline ran to her and grabbed her in a hug, while they both sobbed in each other's arms.
The next thing you know, I felt another magic presence near me, and not a good one.
I didn't have time to warn the two crying women when thirty or so men came out, they were Merdique, damn it. Zaline popped her head up a few seconds later and scrambled to her feet.
"Acadia!" she screamed and took a protective stance in front of her, and I followed protecting the queen as well.
Acadia got to her feet, and the black eyes were still there, oh shit, they must have sensed her magic. I jumped to the side and warned Zaline, and she looked at Acadia's eyes and gasped... Is this the prophecy Acadia that we were warned about?
The men came within a few feet of us, smiling like they just caught their prey.
"Look who we have here! And she looks ready to join our side without our persuasion" the man laughed, he looked like the group leader, and we came closer to our queen.
We heard vehicles pull up behind us, and I glanced back to see our council, Remey, Buford and the other candidate Oscar come running up behind us.
No one said anything back, the enemies looked ready to pounce, our side looking ready to do the same, but we all watched as Acadia walked towards the middle of us.
She stopped, looked around at everyone, our group gasped at her midnight black eyes, and she landed her eyes on Buford. You could see the pain in his eyes, he did this to her, he knew it, but he started walking to her anyways, so did Remey and Oscar.
