Rory and her mother spent their last meal together, however afterwards Rory's heart felt heavy. Who knew exactly how long it would be until they saw each other again...

She was currently in their living room typing away on a computer. She had done a lot of research on Rory and the Hynes family in preparation for the family meeting, but she never really looked into Sovereignty college.

Accessing the school website, Rory casually scanned it. In her mind, she thought, how bad could a college possibly be. She never had the opportunity to go to one in her last life and was thrown directly into the business world.

From what happened to Rory she could tell that the college had a bullying problem. Fortunately, she was extremely resilient. Unfortunately, she was only resilient mentally, but physically one could over power her quickly.

Picking up the bad traits in the body, Rory started to type up things to fix. Her world was no longer the same as before and she couldn't automatically start recreating a technology empire.

She didn't mind this much though. Even if she made it far in her past life she still had unfixable flaws that she didn't bother to notice. First, she needed small things fixed or else this life might end up just like the last.

Health, the body she inhabited was in a dire position. The previous Rory never worked out and only stayed in her room doing god knows what. Because of depression, the old Rory also didn't eat much causing her body to be frail.

Forget getting attacked by someone, Rory was scared her body might be blown away by the wind.

Writing up a work out routine, Rory decided to stop there. She would take things slow for the time being, slowly building up over time.

Going back to researching the school, her hands glided over the computer. She learned as much as she could in the public website. However, now it was time to go a bit deeper.

Hacking into the school's mainframe Rory made her way to her file and pulled up her records. Seeing the records for Rory Hynes she felt startled. Who knew someone so frail could fight so much. A turbulent ocean grew in her eyes while she looked at the record.

Rory was a second year at Sovereignty college, a school filled with the supposedly elites of society. The richest families across the world all sent their kids there to make connections with each other for later purposes.

As Rory is a Hynes, she should of at least been respected in the school, yet for some reason that was far from the case. Her most recent fight was with a guy by the name of Jones River. The River family was fairly influential, but wasn't close to the Hynes family.

Pulling up his picture a sharp pain went through her. She silently lifted a eyebrow while rubbing her heart. She didn't know this person, nevertheless her heart was in pain. Did perhaps the old Rory like him?

It was a weird idea to think about and Rory was hesitant thinking about it. Then again everything was weird lately making the idea not completely idiotic. The pain could of been a reflex left on the body from the previous spirit.

Rory sighed to herself softly closing out of the tab holding Jones image. She went to the information about the fight and scrolled through it.

[... From Jones River's testimony of the fight the reason he attacked Rory Hynes was to protect his dignity. Rory Hynes was said to be making advances on him and even going as far to send love notes. Jones River has provided evidence of the letters stating "The dude was crazy. He would follow me to class and kept putting letter under my door. I was scared for my life and defended myself." When Rory Hynes was asked to provide his part he refused to collaborate. Without any witnesses the accident was dropped...]

So her guess was right, the previous spirit was in love with this guy. Recalling his image Rory shook her head at the thought of falling in love with a guy like that. However, her view toward guys had turned biased ever since her murder, so she wasn't one to judge.

Rory skimmed through the next 3 fights she was involved. All of them occurred because of petty issues and weren't extremely relevant. Once her eyes started to feel heavy she closed the laptop and laid out of the couch.

The small details of Rory's life stayed unknown to her, therefore in the large house horrors, she didn't know where her bed room was located. Already in her mind she created a tall tale to explain to her mom that she fell asleep while she was on her computer.

A personal home was something she couldn't reach with technology nor could she exactly ask where her room for 18 years was located. Settling on the couch was the only option she had. Closing her eyes she recounted what she learned in preparation for tomorrow.

...

The next day, Rory woke up along with the sun. She slung her legs over the side of the couch and stretched out her arms. Hearing light foot steps from above she gathered that her mother was up.

Rory stood up from the couch and headed toward the kitchen to cook something up for them. There wasn't much else she could do when she didn't know where anything in the house was located.

"You are cooking?" Her mom's voice sounded out from behind her.

"Yep, just some eggs and waffles." She clicked off the stove and started to place the food on plates.

"By the way while I'm doing this would you mind grabbing my school outfit. It's about time to go." The comment was seemingly careless, but inside Rory did a fist pump. She found another way of getting out of finding her room.

"Sure dear."When her mom left to go back upstairs, Rory stopped moving completely. She closed her eyes and listened to where the footsteps were going.

The left stairs of the house... at the stairs turn right.... 30 steps right of the stairway... turn right again... walk for 10 steps. She kept listening until she heard her mom foot steps approaching again and started to casually eat her food.

"I have your clothes for you I'll just set them in the bathroom for when you change." Her mom left again before returning without the clothes.

Rory washed her plate before putting it in the dish washer. "Thanks mom, I'll go change now. Your food is waiting for you on the table."

With that she turned and left toward the bathroom to get ready to return to college.
