Chapter 11 - First Meeting: Rory Wins

"Name." Without giving her a moment to think, he once again asked for her name.

The coldness reflecting in his icy blue eyes gave her the chills.

The feeling that this was some kind of misunderstanding grew in Rory's heart, however the danger coming off of the person in front of her was undeniable.

When he grabbed her she could clearly feel the calluses on his hands were the same as her body guards in her last life. He was a trained fighter and she didn't like the idea of risking her second life without any need to.

Rory's grey eyes quickly flittered around the room in search of an out one last time before a breath taking smile came on to her face.

As a sign of surrender she slowly put her hands up in the air.

"You have my deepest apologies senior it seems there has been some kind of misunderstanding. Why don't we both act like ȧduŀts and find out what is going on." Her eyes were bright without holding any sort of suspicion.

The complete change in attitude made the man's sword like eyebrows scrunched up slightly in confusion, but nonetheless he didn't say anything.

Rory took his silence as a sign of consent and got up from the ground to brush off her clothes. Because of their proximity once Rory got up, the invader took a few steps back. "Now how about we both show each other our student cards."

To show she was sincere she reached her hand in her bag and started to search around.

Her movements were steady, but purposefully making it look like she was sincerely looking for her student card.

However, the man didn't reach for anything at all and stood still like an ice berg. It was the first time Rory met someone this cold other than herself! The plan to distract the invader has officially failed.

Inside of her mouth her teeth gritted as her hand inside of her school bag searched before wrapping around a plastic item.

Her eyes glinted deviously when she felt the familiar shape of a taser. As she guessed even a disliked heir would have some type of defense.

"You still haven't found it?" The invader's voice interrupted Rory's 'searching', which led to hear laughing awkwardly.

With embarrassment clear on her face she scratched the back of her head nervously. "It seems I left my student card in the car."

Rory lightly tapped her head in frustration. "Sometimes I can be such an air head. Would you mind if I called my mom really quick to get her to bring it? She will definitely clear up this misunderstanding."

Unknown to the invader, Rory had officially laid out the last olive branch before violence occurred. Unfortunately it wasn't taken.

The invaders lips tilted up into a sarcastic smile at her question. "How do I know this isn't some kind of ploy. For all I know you have already recorded this entire conversation to send to a news agency."

"How about this, give me your phone and I'll let you leave." The invader said this while extending his hand out.

Both statements made by the parties seemed reasonable, but it left the two paranoid people at an extreme deadlock.

Rory's phone didn't have a password, and was an open connection to all of her important information.

Also, at the moment, it was her second best option to getting out of this situation. It would be her first, but unfortunately instead of being inside of her bag it was in her back pocket.

The location was too obvious for her to grab her phone and call anyone with the man closely observing her. If only she could distract him for a moment, she could probably get it. Sadly, the man in front of her was too untrusting to turn his eyes away for a minute.

No matter what, if the person in front of her was a robber or a killer, her phone would give them a massive advantage. Plan B was her best option by far.

"Fine. Just let me go and you can do whatever you want to my phone." Rory let out a laugh of relief as she opens her shoulder bag again.

The shifting of her items in the bag filled up the air before coming to an abrupt stop. Rory looked up hesitantly.

"Um it seems I left that in the car as well..."

Invader: "..."

The invader's eyes turned colder at the shamelessness of the person in front of him.

Clearly the boy just said he had his phone.

"Fine then. Your knack for losing things just made you lose your future."

The invader's words made Rory tense up and her hand gripped the taser tightly in her shoulder bag.

After making his statement, he walked over to Rory and roughly grabbed the collar of her outfit. Feeling the pull of him dragging her farther into the room gave Rory the go to her plan.

With a speeding heart, Rory took her last gamble and swung out the taser. While her movements weren't extremely fast, they were done with extreme precision.

A normal person, wouldn't be able to keep up with the unhesitating movements, however right before the taser could touch skin a large hand wrapped around her wrist.

Rory's body was chilled as if it had been doused in cold water. His movement's were even more trained than her body guards in her last life.

Her eyes flashed up to clash with the blue eyes filled with extreme anger. The moment only lasted for a second before Rory's eyes changed direction and landed on the strong jaw line of the person in front of her.

A revulsion to men settled in her stomach, yet she quickly pushed it away. Without thinking a second longer, she jumped slightly to over come their height difference and placed a solid kiss on the invaders jaw.

The revulsion came back stronger only to be quickly replaced with victory when she felt his hand on her wrist loosen.

Taking advantage of the small opening, Rory tagged the invader square in the ċhėst with 25,000 volts.
