Chapter 12 - Knox Mikhalson

The large amount of volts shook the invaders body for some time before he fully collapsed to the floor.

The loud bam when his muscular body came into contact with the ground made Rory flinch slightly. Maybe she over did it just a little bit?

Rory harshly rubbed her head to try to relieve some annoyance. Unfortunately, the move didn't make her feel anymore better.

"What did I do to get attacked so soon?" she mumbled under her breath. If it was an attacker it more than likely had something to do with the Hynes.

At the moment, it was easy to conclude that the man's body wouldn't hold any clues for her to find out. After all, his towel was holding on for dear life on his waist.

Sighing lightly Rory went into action and bent over the body to check the man's pulse. While she didn't know a lot about medicine in her past life, she fiddled in bio engineering and could definitely do the basics.

The soft beat of his pulse made Rory's face relax. She felt like the situation was off from the start, but preferred to be safe rather than dead.

'Yet, if this situation turned out more complicated than an attack from the Hynes family'... her eyes glinted dangerously.... 'I will have to find a way to keep it controlled.'

It was better to keep it hush hush for now. A bit of humor grew in her eyes as she took off her belt and wrapped the man's loosely hanging hands.

She wondered if her money block with the Hynes extended to doing cover ups for her. As long as she convinced them that it would affect their name she was sure they would do it.

However, that was her last option as even a simple misunderstanding could be turned into fire power in twisted minds.

With a light pull of the arm she secured the belt and stood up.

Her eyes moved toward the open room behind her.

"Now just where exactly did you leave your clothes..." Rory spoke to the passed out man before stepping over his body.

As if she did not just handle a potential lethal attack, she unhurriedly walked into the living room at her own leisure.

The living room was large and grand made with the best materials, and at the at end of it laid a fully loaded modern kitchen with anything a professional chef would ever need.

Observing the kitchen, Rory nodded her acceptance at the thought out supplies stored in it and promised to go through it all once she dealt with the nȧkėd inconvenience.

The kitchen was connected to the dinning room with only a counter separating them, however the rest of the dorm was ȧssessable through the living room.

In the living room, there were three doors. One was clearly far off from the other two and smaller, therefore Rory could guess that was the bathroom. She passed by the couched and randomly opened one of the other two side by side doors behind it.

As expected it led to a bed room, which was normal for a student dorm. Yet, Rory felt her heart drop when she looked at the bed.

There was a suit case on it.

With in seconds, Rory took in all the details and her face turned black. The suit case wasn't open, however the design of it and material was clearly abnormal even among the top 10% of rich people.

The suit case didn't have a name on it and was completely low key, however she could tell It was definitely from France and wasn't a marketed design.

In fact, she didn't know if even she could spend money so loosely in her past life.

From a simple observation, Rory could feel that she had offended someone she shouldn't of so soon.

Deciding to bite the bullet, Rory fully entered the room and opened up the suit case. Inside was a sparse amount of clothes impeccably folded.

Rory didn't know if even a robot could do such a detailed job. She continued to search, however once she pulled out a card from one of the suit case's side pockets, her heart dropped completely.

The card read in clear words [Knox Mikhalson]. One of the absolute worst case scenario's.

Rory felt like her second life was a complete joke for her to have a misunderstanding with this kind of person.

After all, the media rarely ever gets pictures Knox Mikhalson's face yet, however she actually...

Thinking of all the things she did to him, her eye twitched uncontrollably. If she was any other person she would of surely fainted by now.

The Mikhalson family wasn't apart of the top 10% or even the top 1%, they were definitely in the top .1%.

Older money than the Hynes, the Mikhalson line stretched back to the creation of America and past it. She didn't know a lot about them as she never needed to, however anyone would know that they had ties with the Russian mafia.

Their businesses never clashed as Cloud, Knox's company, developed software and her own focused on engineering. Yet, at the age of 21, Knox made Cloud nearly unbeatable in the field of software.

Therefore, in tech everyone knew him, however communications was always left to the co CEO of Cloud, Grant Silver, so she never even tried to meet Knox.

Rory's felt like the situation was horribly hilarious. 'Yet, somehow I managed to run into this god at a college.'

Rory herself couldn't even find out how this situation happened. Recollecting herself, she looked at the card to confirm the room number on it was the same as her own.

Her mind flashed to the [N/A] she had seen next to roommate on her file... she had ȧssumed it meant she didn't have a roommate as no one ever mentioned one.

No matter what it was her own error.

Rory slung off her shoulder bag on to the bed and sat down next to it before removing her ŀȧptop she it.

The reflection of the ŀȧptop screen reflected it her grey eyes as her hands glided across the keyboard. For him to come to the dorm without knowing she was here, it had to be rushed and she was going to find out why.

It wasn't yet decided if she was unlucky for meeting someone like Knox, or if he was unlucky for meeting someone who wasn't willing to just go die.
