Chapter 16 - A Far Away Prince

Rory once again woke up to the sound of a blaring alarm, causing her beautiful face to scrunch up.

She languidly sat up and rubbed her eyes before a disappointed sigh escaped her mouth. 'I was so close to killing that person in my dream at least... why did I have to wake up?'

Because of her dream, Rory couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed first thing in the morning.

With a low mood, Rory stepped off her bed and started to prepare for the day. Her eyes were drowsy and the world around her was still blurry.

Going to open to door, Rory smelled a flavorful odor coming from the other side on the door causing her abused stomach to growl.

Her eyebrows lifted.

Was Knox cooking?

Thinking of the cold face from that night that contained the aura that he rules the world Rory couldn't picture it.

Looking for the mirror, Rory caught a reflection of herself in her pajamas. Thankfully, her body's malnourishment had once again covered up her womanly curves making it easy for her to pretend that she was a boy.

Rory brushed her shaggy hair back and open the door. She didn't approach the kitchen, however quickly snuck into the bathroom. She was already clear that a person like Knox wouldn't give her any food, therefore why even torture herself looking at it. The smell alone could let her know that he was well acquainted with cooking.

The warm shower was enough to wake Rory up completely as she finished her morning routine. Like the day before she put her hair back into some gel before leaving the restroom.

After thinking over the occurrences on her first day at the college she came to the conclusion that she was being stared at so much due to this body's looks. However, what did it have to do with her?

Just because people stared an uncomfortable amount it doesn't mean she would cover herself up. In her opinion the godly looks her body had been given had been covered up enough.

Rory left the bathroom after she properly wore her school clothes. Because she stayed with her mom right up until classes started, she had to go to classes as soon as she came to the college.

"Wait a moment." A voice came from behind her that held a slight Russian accent right before she opened the door.

Rory's grey eyes flashed with irritation before she turned around with an accommodating smile. However, it couldn't be maintained as a slight twitch grew on her lips.

"Morning Mr. Mikhalson." Her eyes took on a demeaning edge and her accommodating smile quickly turned evil. It was the full nine yards of an angel being turned into a demon. "No nude show today? How disappointing."

Forget it. She wasn't very good at being fake in her last life and was even worse at it when she was tired and hungry.

Hearing her elegant jab, Knox decided to ignore it. His cold face didn't change at all as he offered her a piece of paper with a pen.

"Look at it and sign it once you are done."

Rory lifted her brow up in curiosity as she walked up to Knox and took the paper. She then flipped it over to read in bold letters, 'Living Agreement.'

The room grew quiet as she read over the paper once she was done, she clicked open the pen. The agreement contained the basics including, leaving each other's stuff alone and absolutely under no circumstances was she to enter his room again.

Rory didn't mind any of it as she wasn't very interested in Knox in the first place. As long as he didn't kill her, she was perfectly happy.

"What about if the agreement is broken?" Rory asked out of curiosity when she noticed that the termination terms were missing.

"Do you really not know?" Knox gave her a bland look.

"Hmm If that's the case, how about if you break the agreement?" Her eyes took on a laughing edge. She highly doubted that Knox would let her kill him or harm him any kind of way.

"I won't I'm not an entomologist." Knox said coolly as he dismissed her as a bug.

Rory felt a flurry of responses grow inside of her, however looking at the stove clock, she decided to leave it be. If she didn't leave quickly, she would likely miss breakfast. The Hynes left her without any kind of money, therefore her only choice was to eat at the school's atrium.

The person in front of her won't be around her long, therefore what was the point of arguing with him?

"Fine." Rory signed the paper with beautiful writing before handing it back to Knox. She didn't bother with goodbye pleasantries as she opened the door and left.

Once again, seeing the long hallway with students walking around in it, Rory felt a slight bit of excitement. She had never been to a college before and couldn't help but become interested in the new experience.

As she walked down the hallway, she received stares, but she didn't shy away. Instead she flashed her admirers a wicked smile and continued on her way.

It didn't take her long before she reached the atrium, which was a huge building on the campus that contained an inside area and also an outside patio. The amount of people wasn't a lot at the moment, but still the place was rather lively. The food area was set up as a buffet with numerous luxurious foods on display.

Rory picked up some hot cakes and chose a random corner of the outside patio to sit down. She then pulled out her computer and started to type while she ate.

While Rory was, at the moment, apart of the average system, she knew she didn't have time to follow the system; graduate and get a job. In fact, every moment that passed brought her closer to her worst-case scenario with Luke running her company.

That scenario was that he would take her previous engineering sketches that had never been created for a reason and sell them on the black market.

Rory had always been obsessed with making the world better through technology. However, she was curious and sometimes dabbled in things that could be potentially harmful. To her, technology wasn't bad, and its yin or yang depended on the holder of it.

With a focused expression Rory accessed the black web. She shifted through the topic boards searching for any sign of Luke selling her creations online.

She turned up empty.

Nothing on the black web showed any indication that it was one of her creations. Rory let out a sigh of relief.

"OH MY GOSH! Did you catch it Chao? He sighed! Are you recording?" a shrill female voice interrupted Rory's thought process.

"What do you think idiot? Do you think this miss will miss such perfect eye candy? I've never seen him before do you think he is someone's hook up?"

"Impossible, the way he carries himself is so sophisticated. He wouldn't be nearly as nice looking if it wasn't for his aura. He has to be some kind of far away prince!"

The far away Prince: "..."
