Chapter 32 - Ticking Off An Entire Room

The shrill voice pounded against Rory's mind to the point that she felt like she was going to lose it. With what hand exactly did she use to seduce this man?

If he is so easily seduced, then clearly it has less to do with her and more to do with him being a sėxuȧŀly unstable person!

People who were interested started to mummer to each other in the classroom, "Ah so that explains why he actually showed up to class today…"

"It makes perfect sense when I think about it. Afterall, everyone knows Rory is a coward. Yet, for some reason today he picks a fight with Lucas Silver of all people."

"Tsk. What trash. He is failing this class, isn't he? Hopefully he will fail out sooner than later."

"Fail out of this class? After offending Lucas today, we won't have to see his plastic face around campus anymore at all." Someone responded with a contemptuous smirk.

When Lucas heard the commentary a flash of ridicule appeared in his eyes. As he thought no one would dare mock him. This boy just wanted his attention.

Such pathetic people were a sore in his eyes. He had to find away to get this person removed from his sight forever.

Everyone looked over at the buŧŧ of the jokes expecting to see him dying of embarrassment; however, when they saw Rory black lines appeared on their foreheads.

Rory had leaned back in her chair calmly while playing with a pencil in her hand. She dully watched the pencil roll around in her delicate, fair hand as if she found it more entertaining than what was going on around her.

It was clear that she was not paying attention to their comments at all!

He did realize that his entire reputation was being destroyed right now, didn't he?

After perceiving that they weren't going to get the reaction they wanted, the room awkwardly started to go quiet again.

When Rory noticed the people were looking at her weirdly in silence, she glanced up with a light smile, "Don't let me interrupt, however I am curious how well you will all fare against the Hynes's team of lawyers. You all do know that defamation is a charge up to one year in jail, right?"

The girl with the high-pitched voice let out a giggle, "Rory stop trying to scare people, everyone knows that the Hynes practically disowned you. I heard you don't even have a penny to your name."

"Yet, somehow I managed to get my entire face redone this perfectly without a penny to my name." Rory placed down her pencil and looked at the girl with laughing eyes. "I have to say. The logic here is simply impeccable. You must be a genius."

Lily felt like cursing. Why did it seem like no one could stand their ground under this idiot's tongue lashings? When the hell did Rory learned to speak so elegantly anyway?

It didn't make sense at all for him to change to much over night... It didn't matter in the end though. No matter what tricks he had up his sleeve a bullet in the head will put an end to all of them.

By the time the professor finally walked into the classroom it was dead silent. Even those who didn't participate in the bullying couldn't bring themselves to speak under the weird atmosphere.

The professor's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion at the normally lively room. The tension in the room was think enough to cut with a knife!

To try to soften the tension the professor cleared his throat loudly, "I hope everyone has been having a good day today?"

A moment passed. No one responded. It was clear that they were taking out their grievances with Rory on the professor who could only squirm in the front as he waited for a response.

"Ok then! Let's get started for class. Today we are going over the demand and supply graph and how it applies to the real world in lecture. However, as a reminder your projects that are worth 25% of your grade are due next Wednesday. Late submissions will not be accepted, therefore…"

Once Rory's classes were done for the day, she made her way back to her dorm.

With the rainy weather that was happening, she doubted that her items could be delivered today by drone. Therefore, there was no reason for her to stay wondering around campus.

What project exactly was the professor talking about? The school had a website for ȧssignments and when they would be due; however, Rory was never notified for an ȧssignment in economics.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the professor used technology a lot and hadn't uploaded his ȧssignments at all.

After class when she asked him about it, he only told her it he already discussed the project in class with an impatient tone.

Rory let out a sigh. Would she really have to drop the class?

At this time, the best option would be to probably ask someone else in class, but… Rory lips twitched guiltily when she thought about the occurrences before class.

There was a reason she didn't have many friends in her past life. Once one annoyed her to a certain extent she couldn't stop herself from being vicious.

However, she didn't regret her choice of not holding back. She would just have to think of another way to find out what the project was about.

The door of the dorm opened to reveal Knox in the kitchen cooking. His black hair was brushed out of his face revealing the side view of his chiseled jaw line.

The black formal shirt he wore was properly tucked in giving a slight outline of an impressive set of muscles.
