The next morning Rory found herself relaxing on a green bench in one of Sovereignty's gardens while she waited for her ŀȧptop parts to arrive.

The garden was filled with exotic flowers that surrounded Rory. Their smell was nearly therapeutic.

The sun shone lightly from behind the cloud's bringing a unending peace to the garden.

Glancing at the sun, Rory sighed in disappointment. It was already October and the sun was starting to show less frequently.

It seemed like she would be stuck being as pale as a piece of paper for a while. With dislike she rubbed her pale hand to bring some color back to it.

She didn't leave the lab much in her past life, but always made time to go outside. After all, staying away from the sun could easily make someone depressed no matter who they were.

Rory looked away from the sky to glance at the object in her hands. Wind ċȧrėssed Rory's still rather thin, malnourished cheeks as she twisted around a small black USB in her hands.

What exactly did Knox task her to do?

The USB was one she was familiar with, it was coded and practically unbreakable to enter unless one had the code.

If one made an accident while breaking into one without a code, it could end up exploding.

He also made it very clear that if she shared the programming she learns from the USB with anyone else, he would kill both her and the person she told without question.

Rory's lips pursed in concentration as she observed the USB. Didn't he know that she has insatiable curiosity when it came to technology!?

Rory had a short staring contest with the unchanging USB before shaking her head.

She couldn't gather any major clues from the cover.

The model was a common one made in the U.S. so most likely whatever was on it was created in the U.S.A; however, adding to the fact that the USB was common and new proved that more than likely it wasn't the original copy.

He made even a second copy so highly defended? It had to be something pretty important. Or nothing at all.

This was some kind of test either way.

Rory placed the USB in her bag. Regardless she would have to wait for her computer to arrive before finding out what kind.

It should arrive in a hour.

No matter how many things she created, it could never compare with the earth.

On the garden's stone paved path one girl walked holding a boxed chocolate.

Her brown eyes were filled with ill intent as she looked around the garden. She and her friends definitely saw that idiot enter here. They had been waiting all morning to sight him.

Due to Lucas being an untouchable figure in the school. His fan girls made a mutual agreement to protect their male god from the dirtiness of the world.

Last night they sat up late thinking about a plan to get back at gay kid who dared to approach him.

A sneer grew in her face as she entered the sitting area of the garden.

He dare try to seduce her male god?

On the green bench she caught sight of a young boy smiling softly to himself while letting his head fall back over the edge of the bench.

The boy had his eyes closed at the moment and looked to be asleep. His dark brown eyelashes were fluttering as they brushed over his pale cheeks bringing a beautiful contrast to his crystal clear face.

While he was skinny, he held himself in a way that the school uniform didn't look the slightest bit slouchy.

Was this angel really the person who insulted her male god?

She had only seen pictures of Rory on the school forums; however it seemed nothing compared to real life.

The girl's eyes filled with complex emotions.

Unfortunately, before she could think things through, Rory's eyes opened.

A pair of enchanting, calm eyes peaked out from beneath the long eyelashes and the boy's cherry red lips curled up. "Hello."

Rory silently observed the person.

While she pretended to have her eyes fully closed, they were open enough so that she could see the person approaching.

No one entered to garden since she did; therefore, was the girl looking for her? It appeared so.

Rory had seen the girl once before during the economics lecture. She had sat in close proximity to the girl with the shrill voice.

With curly hair and caramel eyes the girl was very pretty. Her limbs were covered in expensive jewelry and on her shoulder was bag that costed millions.

Considering that the girl was too rich, to be sent as a minion to do someone's bidding it appeared she was here on her own accord.

Was it because of her argument with the man child?

The girl felt her cheeks heat up at the sound of Rory's voice. Her shyness wasn't fake as she quickly avoided the boy's eyes.

Rory took notice of that action and her delicate eyebrow raised. It appeared that the enmity wasn't that strong.

In the garden the girl stood still for a moment on the paved path without approaching.

For her male god she had to do this no matter how absolutely gorgeous the enemy's plastic face was!

Her stance was humble. "Uh.. Ror- Can I call you Rory?"

"Of course." Rory placed her right elbow on the bench arm and tilted her head to the side playfully.

The image of a fallen angel appeared in the girl's head.

How is it possible for someone to be this adorable and sėxy at the same time!? Uncontrollably, the blush of the girl's face became even more apparent.

She had to get this over quickly.

With rushed actions she jutted forth the box in her arms with both hands while lowering her head. "I- I like you Rory!"

Rory calmly observed the red heart box before she reached out and took it.

The box was a store bought, the only inconsistency on it was the very slight rip on the corner of the lid. The box should be fine to touch.
