13 Ambush

After getting everything he needed Maximus went back to the inn. There he asked the same boy who had guided him to go and buy some cloth for the baby and some diapers.

"Now lets see" Maximus looked at the map, he was looked for a good place to settle down so that he could raise Felix away from all the danger of the world.

"Humh.... Collis town, a small town in the mountains seems like the best place. It has small traffic, a low number of population. "He turned to Felix "So Felix do you want to live in Collis town"

"hua, hua" Felix was just smiling happily as she played with Maximus finger.

"Sir here are the things you asked me for." came the voice of the boy.

"You did good, you can keep the change" said Maximus.

"I can't Sir that is too much"

"Don't worry, you can consider that as an early payment. I need you to do something for me" then Maximus whispered something to the boy got up and left.

Only after a while the boy turned and said in low voice "Yes Sir Maximus" then he just went back to work as if nothing had happened.

Maximus left the city and then soared in the sky, his next destination, Collis Town.

But Maximus didn't notice that there was a small bird following him from behind. It was the size of a palm it had small wing and was the same blue in color as the sky.

"He is moving to fast, I better tell the other to come or else they won't able to find me"

Tony had a special technique that allowed him to transform his body into a small bird, while chasing after someone he would release a special powder that the other would use to follow his track. But this time he didn't expect Maximus to move this fast, plus he didn't know haw far he was going, and he didn't have a lot of the powder, so he just sent them the signal to come.

Inside the Adventurer Guild that group ofpeople were still waiting for their Boss when suddenly the women face changed.

"What is it Vivian?" asked one of the man's.

"It's Tony signal, he is asking us to move now." said Vivian.

"But the Boss isn't back yet" said another man.

"Lets do this, me Sam, and Wang will go after him. And you will stay here and wait. When the Boss is back tell him about the boy and that we had to move now. If we aren't back before he gets back, look for us the general direction we left"

After saying this to Strix she got up with the other to and rushed out.

"Hey look golden squad is moving out" someone inside noticed that Vivian and the other two left the Guild.

At this point in time Maximus had no idea that he was being followed after flying for three hours he had to stop to change Felix diaper and feed her.

He just finished feeding her when he started to feel uneasy inside, he looked around, but he saw no one around.

"Shussss" suddenly there was the sound of something shooting at him at incredible speed. Maximus took Felix in his arms and dodged but then two people appeared from both side with swords in hand and hacked at him.

Maximus jumped backwards but what he didn't notice was that a small bird was slowly approaching him. Then out of nowhere a man appeared and shoot finger size needles at him.

Maximus noticed the attack almost immediately, so he took the black saber from his ring and with the Felix on the other he used it to defend himself.

It was a strange scene, three manses attacking a young man who was holding a baby.

It was at this point that the woman who was hiding and waiting for her opportunity made her move.

There was a small bang and a purple cloud appeared where they were fighting.

"Crap" Maximus noticedthat this was a poison cloud, it won't be harmful to him but fatal to Felix.

"You better surrender if you want the baby to live" Vivian came into Maximus view and said with a sweet smile as ifeverythingwas under control.

Maximus looked at her and said "Do you have the antidote"

She smiled flashed her hand and a small bottle with a green liquid inside appeared.

"Give it to me or you can forget about leaving here alive" said Maximus in a sinister tone.

"Hahaha kid you must be crazy. Let me tell you if that baby doesn't take the antidote in the next minute she is dead. Now be a good dog and break your arms and legs and maybe this big sister will be kind enough to save your baby g...."

But before she even had time to finish she was startled to see that Maximus actually threw Felix in the air. And then a horrifying energy came from his body, like a volcano that was sleeping for thousands of years erupted with all his might.

Behind Maximus the image of the starry sky appeared again, but this time the image of a Titan could also be seen, but only his head, neck, shoulder and arms appeared.

Maximus extended both of his arms with the hands wide opened, and then closed them. The Titan did the same thing, the only difference was that at this point the two men who attacked from both side were nothing more than blood and gore,when the Titan hands opened they were just meat and bones.

When Tony saw this he was almost pissed himself "Mo...monster!!!" he tried to flee in sky.

But the Titan head was even faster than him. It opened it giant mouth and directly swallowed him.

Vivian who was watching on the side didn't even have time to react, in leas than five seconds, Sam, Wang and Tony were gone. She wanted to say she was sorry, she wanted to beg for her life but it was to late. The Titans hand was already above her.

"Why did we had to provoke this death God" that was the last thought she had before she was crushed like an ant.

The starry sky and the Titan diapered, everything returned to normal. Maximus jumped in the air and caught Felix gently in his arms as she was falling down. He went to Vivian and retrieved the bottle with the antidote, he was careful not to crush the hand that was holding the bottle.

"Here you go, you have to drink it all"

Felix seemed to understand Maximus words and even thought she struggled a littler she still drunk all the liquid in the bottle.

"This time they were clearly after me. But who? I better move and after getting to Collis village lay low there for a while" then Maximus rushed out of here at his fastest speed.

Several say latter two men appeared at the place where Maximus killed Vivian and the other three.

"Who... who could have done something like this?"

"Are you sure they left after that guy the Phoenix clan is looking for?" asked a middle-aged man, in black robes wearing a with mask that covered his whole face.

"Yes Boss"

"Don't tell anyone about this. Announce their death to the guild, and also tell them that I am recruiting. I will investigate this matter myself, and when I find him, humph..... he better pray that I don't" then the man released his aura.

When Strix felt it his eyes widened "Congratulation Boss for breaking trough. Now that you are Regnator there will be many powerful people who will want to join your squad"
