It is a delightful Monday morning. Everything is so noiseless. The streaks of the morning sun are entering through the cracks in the blinds. The birds are chirping sweetly, as they are searching for food and feeding their young ones. Cool summer breeze is blowing. The trees dancing along with the rhythm, present a lively environment. Early risers are having their routinely morning jog, with earphones settled in their ears. In parks, some had laid down their yoga mats, stretching their bodies and breathing fresh air. It is the only time of the day when you can breathe in the sweet and cool air, free from dust. Indeed, it was a beautiful morning!
Emily was in her bed, snoring peacefully. Little did she know what nature had to present outside.
It was only a matter of time, when her alarm started to ring and vibrate. Shouting for her to wake up and go to college. Emily doesn't speak clock anyway, all she could do was try to close its mouth. Moving her hand around the table, the clock was like dodging her hands and jumping up and down, disturbing the whole peaceful environment. Irritated, she was forced to sit up and shut the alarm.
There she was, rubbing her eyes and yawning. Her hair messed up from probably one of the most comfortable sleep ever. Finally when she managed to open her eyes, she looked at the time. Her eyes opened wide and pupils contracted, it was half past seven! How was she supposed to get ready and go to college in just half an hour?
She jumped out of bed and into the bathroom, almost flying. She didn't have much time to finalize her looks and directly changed up. She wanted to just take an apple or something while going to college, so she could eat on the way. But her mom, Alicia, didn't allow such behavior. Now she had to sit on the table and finish her meal properly.
She grabbed her bag and went running. Her college isn't that that far away, so she goes by walk. Golden Crown Academy, aka GCA, was one of the finest colleges in the city. She looked at her watch, the time was 10 minutes to 8. She did have some time though.
Just as the gates were being closed, Emily entered the college, thankfully. She could not go further, and decided to take a rest on a bench nearby. She leaned on the bench, panting for breath. Maybe today is not my lucky day, she thought. The bell for the assembly rang, and students started to gather and assemble in the main ground. Her best friend, Linda, approached her and gave her a wired look.
"Yes, I overslept." Emily said, as she understood what Linda was about say. Linda smiled, and they both went to gather in the ground for the assembly.
They were walking towards the crowd when a foot appeared in front of Emily and she fell. The owner of the foot and her best friend gave a vengeful look. It was Ivy, and her best friend Hazel. Emily got up sighing and rolled her eyes as she saw the two. They were Emily's sworn enemies. As soon as Linda was about to say something, Emily grabbed her arm and walked away as if nothing happened. Ignorance is the best reply to an enemy, Emily thought.
