Chapter 114 - Are You Okay?!

Hecathe didn't bother saying anything as he also left the dining area and headed back upstairs to his room where LeiLei and the Dorgon were patiently waiting for him.

"Sir!" LeiLei immediately stood up from the chair as she saw the door opening to reveal Hecathe coming back inside in one piece.

"Are you okay?!" The girl anxiously questioned as her eyes trailed along Hecathe's body curiously.

Hecathe pursed his lips into a thin line and looked back at her with an unimpressed expression.

Even if Marvin and Hecathe were to seriously fight, Hecathe was sure he would win, but it seemed that he was the only one confident about this.

Hecathe sighed as he shook his head and decided not to answer her question.

"What about you? Why are you still here?" Hecathe changed the topic as he asked with a small frown.

LeiLei blinked in surprise as she suddenly heard this and took a few seconds to reply.

She gave a toothy grin as she spoke up, "I like this room better."

"..."

"Master, you can throw her out," The Dorgon yawned as he suggested.

"Sir, the other room is really dusty," The girl added with a small pout as she tried to look pitiful, however, Hecathe felt no pity for her.

"You're lying again," Hecathe pointed out as his eyes narrowed down on the girl, "The dust is not the real problem, is it?"

LeiLei gulped as she heard this and cursed in her head as she looked at the floor and nodded her head ever so slightly.

Hecathe sighed as he saw this and asked, "What is the real problem?"

LeiLei looked to be a bit anxious as she answered softly, "I can't get used to it."

"Used to what?" Hecathe tilted his head ever so slightly in confusion as he asked.

"I've never had a room all for myself so I can't get used to it."

Hecathe couldn't help but frown as he heard this and his eyebrows creased together in worry as he questioned, "Then where did you live."

"Behind the gambling den," LeiLei shrugged her shoulders as she spoke, "The two old men who raised me would also sleep there. They all had separate hay beddings and they would lay it out on the floor to sleep."

"Just them? What about you?"

"I would sleep on the floor," LieLei answered honestly and now Hecathe knew why the girl found it more comfortable to sleep on the floor.

"What an unfortunate child... Master, we've heard her story, you can throw her out now," The Dorgon commented from the side, but was once again ignored by Hecathe.

"Then you are not used to sleeping in an empty room?" Hecathe questioned with a frown as he thought about it, "But if you've been living like that, shouldn't it be more comfortable to sleep alone in your own room?"

LeiLei immediately shook her head as she heard this and muttered, "I'm afraid to be alone..."

"Afraid?" Hecathe repeated as he waited for an explanation.

The girl nodded her head as she added, "It's the same feeling like that day... When my parents abandoned me..."

Hecathe's eyes widened ever so slightly and he could finally understand why she was so persistent to not move out of here.

If he remembered it right, she had said that her parents were already dead and as an orphan, she was abandoned to the streets where she found the two old gamblers who took her in and gave her a job.

Hecathe sighed as he stepped forward and raised his hand to rest it against the top of her head.

This was probably the first time he was patting someone on the head and the man didn't seem to have realized it himself how odd it was of him to act this affectionately.

LeiLei's eyes widened ever so slightly and she gulped in surprise.

"Master, don't let the witch trick you. Throw her out." The Dorgon also sounded as if he had made up his mind but Hecathe didn't let the creature's comments enter his mind.

"Then you can take Eggy with you. I'm still going to ask you to leave my room."

Both the Dorgon and the girl were silent as they heard this.

Just when LeiLei thought the man was going to let her live here...

The Dorgon who constantly tried to throw the girl out of the room was thrown out together with her in the end and all the creature could do was stand still in shock and disbelief.

"But sir, are you sure you-"

"Yes, I'm sure about it," Hecathe didn't even let her continue the question as he spoke, informing the girl that there was no way he was going to let her stay here together with him in the same room.

"..." LeiLei looked to be a little shocked at this firm response and there was an apparent small frown on her face as she looked at the man with big shining eyes.

If it were someone else, they would have probably felt bad about it, however, this was Hecathe and he was not affected by her big shining eyes at all.

The man pursed his lips as he opened the door and got out first as he spoke, "We are leaving for now. When we return, you'll have to go to your own room."

No matter how much she pleaded, Hecathe was adamant not to let her stay in the same room as him.

Although he looked like he trusted the girl enough to let her stay in his room, in reality, it wasn't completely true.

Hecathe was honest with her for the most part of it, but there were still things that he wanted to hide from her.

He wanted to hide some things not because he wanted to safeguard his plan and secrets but because he wanted to make sure that she wasn't in danger.

Secrets always came with a price and if it was ever known that this girl knew the secrets of the missing Alphius, Hecathe was sure she would get into some serious trouble because of it.

At this point, even though she had already seen his face, it seemed that she was yet to recognize him as Alphius, and perhaps, this was for the best.

It would have been more shocking if she actually did recognize him.

The people of Ocasia had no relations with Alphius. In fact, most of them didn't even know who Alphius was.

Of course, this was not true for all of them and there were still people who knew Alphius as the mad tyrant who controlled the mecha-suits.

The monkey they had met at the gambling den was a perfect example of the people who knew Alphius and hated him, however, even he didn't look to have recognized Hecathe and this was because although they knew his name, they had no idea what he looked like.

This was the reason why Hecathe was surely going to be safe in Ocasia. If people didn't know what he looked like, they would never be able to report him to the three willows of spring and since the three willows of spring had no rule over Ocasia, they could also not instruct the people here to be on the lookout for Hecathe.

LeiLei pouted but didn't dare argue with the man on this topic as she reluctantly nodded her head in the end.

Hecathe smiled a little as he saw this reaction and with a nod, the man got ready to leave first, however, he was stopped by the Dorgon who cried out to him.

"Master, what about my food...?! I'm hungry!!"

"Oh," Hecathe muttered and it almost looked as if he had forgotten all about feeding the Dorgon.

The Dorgon didn't look to be too pleased with this reaction and it almost seemed as if he was glaring at Hecathe for forgetting about his breakfast.

"This reminds me," Hecathe clicked his tongue as he crouched down to the Dorgon's level and question, "Do you eat Mutants?"

"Eh...?!" The Dorgon looked to be in disbelief and shock as he heard this question.

It took the little creature an entire minute to process the question through his head as he made sure that he hadn't heard the man wrong and when he was certain that he had heard it right, he looked to be even more shocked.

"Are you seriously asking me that question?!" The Dorgon snapped at the man and it seemed that the question had somehow managed to piss him off, "I'm the great emperor and you're asking me to eat a bunch of disgusting mutants?! Why don't you go and eat them if you think they look so delicious?! How can you mistreat the great emperor like this?! You lowly wretched human who is not good for anything!!"

"..."

Hecathe had certainly not expected the Dorgon to blow up like this and so when he suddenly got scolded by the creature, all he could do was blink in surprise and be speechless about it.

"You imbecile, how dare you abuse the kindness of the great emperor like this?!" The Dorgon continued to curse at the man and Hecathe said nothing.

It was just a question...

It wasn't even like he was shoving mutant meat down the Dorgon's throat...!
