Chapter 133 - Messing With The Guards

"Marvin, once we reach Zeblor, you don't show your face around," Hecathe spoke as he cautiously looked at the boy.

"That's a given," Marvin sighed as he responded.

"And LeiLei, no matter what happens, you just keep acting cute, okay?"

LeiLei pursed her lips into a thin line and looked to be unimpressed as she heard this, "I'm not acting. I'm naturally cute."

"..." Hecathe didn't want to comment on that.

Marvin chuckled as he heard the girl and nodded his head as he supported her confident statement, "She has a point."

"In any case, although I said we are going to have fun, this is still something serious and we need to be careful," Hecathe warned as he stopped in his tracks with his eyes in front.

LeiLei rolled her eyes as she heard the man and commented in a volume that was barely above a whisper, "You're the only one taking this as a trivial joke."

Marvin also came to a stop as he sighed and seeing that the two guys had come to a stop together, LeiLei also stopped on instinct as she looked at them curiously.

"Why are we stopping?" LeiLei asked as she tilted her head innocently.

Hecathe seemed to be lost in his thoughts as he kept his eyes in front of him and it was Marvin who answered her question with a small, almost mischievous looking smile.

"We are here."

LeiLei gulped as she heard this and her eyes widened as she looked around in confusion but except for the green forest, there wasn't much that she could see.

"Are you sure about that?" LeiLei asked as her eyebrows creased together in confusion.

Marvin nodded his head confidently as he yawned and stretched his hands as if getting ready for a marathon or something.

Hecathe also nodded his head as he turned around to face the girl and held out his hand towards her, "Let's go."

LeiLei stared at the man's hand for a solid minute in confusion as she wondered what he wanted her to do but Hecathe eventually got impatient and grabbed her hand first as he pulled her along and Marvin clicked his tongue as he followed closely behind the two.

LeiLei was thoroughly confused but this confusion was nothing compared to the amazing sight that she saw next.

Although the route in front of them looked as if it was just leading to an endless forest, it was nothing more than an illusion put there to trick trespassers.

Hecathe and Marvin seemed to have already seen through this illusion and Hecathe was the first to break the illusion as he walked into a tree and passed through it as if the tree was nothing more than just their imagination.

Once they had passed through the tree, what greeted them was the sight of guards standing in the distance with their weapons steadily ready to fire whenever needed, but they didn't seem to have noticed the presence of the sudden intruders.

Hecathe pulled LeiLei and Marvin down as he immediately hid behind a bush and counted the number of guards that were there.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. And Eight.

There were a total of eight guards assigned for this area and Hecathe was sure that they were all very skilled and capable.

But no matter how skilled they were, Hecathe was still confident that they won't be posing a threat to him.

"LeiLei, mutants can't get through the door that we just passed from," Hecathe spoke in a whisper and LeiLei had a hard time paying attention to what the man was saying as she got distracted by the number of guards guarding a total number of eight doors that looked magnificent and expensive.

Zeblor was certainly not running low on cash... As expected of the capital city, even the outer gates looked grand.

"LeiLei, pay attention here," Hecathe snapped as he pursed his lips into a thin line and the girl finally woke up from her train of thoughts.

"Hmm...? Yeah, what were you saying?" The girl asked as she gulped and tried to once again pay attention to what Hecathe was saying.

"The illusion that we just passed through," Hecathe sighed as he repeated his words, "The mutants can't get through it."

LeiLei frowned as she heard this but didn't say anything as she simply nodded her head in understanding.

"I need you to help them," Hecathe spoke as he met the girl's eyes with a determined gaze.

"Eh...?!" LeiLei repeated the man's words through her head but she still felt as if she had misheard him.

Marvin's eyebrows furrowed together as he immediately understood what Hecathe was going to do and the boy no longer knew if he wanted to be a part of this crazy idea or not.

"I want you to help the mutants get here," Hecathe spoke again as he made sure that the girl understood him.

He picked up a stone that was lying near his foot and held it up to show the girl as he continued with a question, "You understand, don't you?"

LeiLei frowned and gulped but didn't dare give an immediate response to this question.

"We just need to scare them a little," Hecathe sighed as he saw the girl's reluctance and tried to reassure her, "They are strong enough to handle a few mutants. Don't worry about them. It's not going to kill them."

Although the man had said this, the girl still didn't look to be on board with Hecathe's plan.

Hecathe gently squeezed her hand as he spoke, "You're the only one that can do it."

Emotional manipulation seemed to work like magic on the girl and as soon as she heard this sentence that indicated the man's dependence on the girl, she couldn't help but gulp as she reluctantly nodded her head and Hecathe immediately smiled as he saw this reaction.

Marvin rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue as he commented, "What an idiot."

It was clear that he was referring to LeiLei as the idiot but the girl didn't seem to have been paying attention as she simply ignored the boy and looked down at the stone that Hecathe had placed on her palm.

"There are a total of thousand mutants waiting outside," Hecathe informed with a small smile as if this was something normal.

LeiLei's eyes widened as she heard this but before she could say anything, she heard the man continue.

"You'll find more than enough stones here as well so this won't be something hard for you, right?"

LeiLei was still confused about things and had a gut feeling that this was a bad idea but when Hecathe looked at her so hopefully, the girl couldn't help but nod her head as she agreed to everything he said.

LeiLei closed her eyes as she calmed herself down and took a deep breath in before she started teleporting the mutants here

The girl could not get them all here individually so she decided to show another one of her techniques as she held her palm over the ground and suddenly created a hole on the ground that looked much alike a wormhole and was just large enough for two human beings to pass through it at the same time.

She let out a breath as she threw all the stones inside and the ground around them suddenly started to shake.

The stones that were around them could be seen slightly bouncing up from the ground as the ground started vibrating.

Hecathe gulped as he moved a few steps back and carefully looked at the hole on the ground in anticipation.

Marvin also gulped as the boy had a bad feeling in his stomach about this but there was nothing he could do to stop it.

The guards could also feel the ground beneath them shuddering and they looked to be thoroughly confused as they looked at each other and started to panic a little.

"What the hell is it...?!" One of the guards questioned out loud but before anyone could give a response to him, mutants had already started to come out of the hole and Hecathe didn't bother wasting any time as he sent them directly forward to attack the guards that were clearly minding their own business till now.

The guards saw an army of mutants approaching them and it was only natural that they got into position and started firing at the mutants.

Hecathe's eyes narrowed down on the guns that the guards were using and he couldn't help but frown as he recognized the guns.

These were the specialized mecha-guns that worked on Zelium and were made by Alphius.

It seemed that although the three willows of spring thoroughly hated Alphius, even their defence team used weaponry made by the boy.

There was a limit to how shameless a person could be but it seemed that the three willows of spring had long abandoned such feelings of shame.

Hecathe couldn't help but click his tongue as he clearly felt a little unsatisfied with this.
