"What? Do you want to fight them or something?" Hecathe asked with a small chuckle.
LeiLei pursed her lips and shook her head as she heard this, "But wouldn't it be too easy?"
"Do you have a problem with it being too easy?" Marvin tilted his head as he questioned.
Hecathe, "It would be easy only if the mecha-suits listen to us."
"Which is surely not going to be the case," Marvin added with a sigh and Hecathe simply nodded his head as he agreed with the boy.
LeiLei frowned as she heard this, "Then what do we do when they don't listen to us?"
Hecathe's lips curled up in a thin smile as he heard this question which had a clearly obvious answer.
"We might need to use force. It's not something completely out of the equation."
LeiLei gulped but said nothing to that.
Marvin, "Instead of worrying about something that hasn't happened yet, shouldn't we be focusing on finding these mecha-suits first?"
Hecathe nodded his head with a sigh, "Not only do we need to find the mecha-suits but we also need to make sure that the ones we find are the ones causing trouble. The last thing we would want is to accuse the wrong person and cause more problems."
"We'll go with the original plan and wait for the sunset. Once we have divided up, we'll need to be careful," Marvin added as he seriously thought about it.
Hecathe looked at the two and spoke, "If you sense danger then act before you think. It would be best to avoid any fights. Engaging in combat must be the last option left on the plate."
LeiLei and Marvin nodded in understanding as they heard the man.
They started to plan out the paths that each of them would use and when they were done planning everything, they decided to head out in order to find a perfect waiting spot for them individually.
While LeiLei headed north, Marvin headed East and Hecathe headed west.
These three spots were said to be the ones with the most cases of this mecha-suit incident so it was only natural that they had to check it out.
They lazed around for the rest of day while keeping a close eye on every mecha-suit that they saw on the road.
When the sun had gone down and the sky got dark, all three got serious and waited for the culprit to show himself.
They were in completely different areas inside Ocasia, but they could still connect and talk to each other through the use of QMS.
LeiLei originally didn't own a QMS but Marvin eventually ended up giving her a spare one that he had with him.
"Is there any lead?" Hecathe questioned as he sent the other two this message.
After every twenty minutes, Hecathe would open the QMS just to check up on the other two.
A few hours passed just like this and it was nearly 1 a.m., however, none of them got to meet the mecha-suits who were said to come out at night just to question random people.
"Sir, there are not even that many people here," LeiLei sighed as she sent Hecathe a response, "I don't think there would be any chances of them coming here. If the mecha-suits want to harass a person, shouldn't that area actually have people around that are freely roaming outside as preys that could be harassed?"
Hecathe didn't know if the girl was being sarcastic or not, but he still sighed nonetheless as he heard her words.
"Just wait and don't use your head too much," Hecathe clicked his tongue as he replied, "Why would you want to harass someone in a crowded place...? A desolated place is clearly much better."
LeiLei was silent for a few minutes before she sent a response, "You're right...! That makes sense!"
"..."
"I think the sleep is getting to you," Marvin chuckled as he commented and Hecathe couldn't help but agree with the boy.
"LeiLei, are you tired?" Hecathe asked with a sigh and the girl responded a bit faster this time.
"Sir, I'm not tired. I'm just sleepy."
"..."
Weren't they both the same thing...?
Hecathe opened his mouth to say something as a response but before the words could roll out of his tongue, he heard another message from LeiLei.
"I wish Eggy was here to keep me company. It's so creepy being alone here."
Hecathe gulped not because the girl was feeling creeped out being alone nor was it because she wanted to be accompanied by Eggy, but because Marvin could also hear the girl and he clearly didn't know who Eggy was yet.
"Who's Eggy?" Just as expected, Marvin questioned almost immediately and Hecathe was at a loss for words suddenly.
"He's a little pet that Hecathe keeps at home," LeiLei casually answered and Hecathe wanted to sigh in relief since LeiLei hadn't said what type of creature Eggy was.
"A pet?" Marvin sounded surprised as he questioned, "Hecathe doesn't really look the type to keep pets."
Hecathe pursed his lips into a thin line as he heard this and he couldn't help but wonder whether this was a compliment or an insult.
If he didn't look like the type to keep pets then what did he look like...? Did he look like the type to kill pets?!
LeiLei chuckled as she replied, "It's a surprise but Hecathe is a very good owner. Eggy eats a lot of meat every day. If it was someone else then they would have certainly thrown Eggy out just because of how much the little thing eats."
"..." Hecathe felt even more speechless as he heard the girl's response.
So he was considered to be a good owner just because he fed the creature and didn't throw it out yet...? Did that even make sense?!
"Is that so?" Marvin chuckled and sounded amused as he spoke, "I wonder why I've never met this glutinous Eggy."
"Eh? You haven't met him?" LeiLei asked with a bit of surprise.
"I haven't," Marvin confirmed and Hecathe's eyes widened as he realized that this conversation was probably not going where he wanted it to go.
"It's probably a good thing if you haven't," LeiLei simply responded and Hecathe once again sighed in relief before he decided to interrupt this conversation.
Hecathe, "Eggy doesn't like to meet new people. He has a tendency to be rather violent.
"That's right," LeiLei supported the statement as she spoke with a small giggle, "Even when he met me, he tried to first kill me and then continued to run away when he realized that killing me was impossible for the little thing."
Hecathe raised his eyebrows as he heard this and he was clearly taken aback. This was the first time he was hearing anything about the Dorgon trying to kill LeiLei.
The Dorgon had certainly acted as if it was annoyed with LeiLei but it had never actually tried to actively kill the girl. The first time the creature met LeiLei was in the absence of Hecathe and by the time Hecathe arrived, the creature was the one being chased around by LeiLei.
"This eggy sounds rather interesting," Marvin commented, feeling a bit amused as he heard LeiLei's words.
Hecathe gulped as he could guess what Marvin would say next.
"Now I am even more interested in meeting this little Eg-" Marvin's words were suddenly cut off abruptly as the message ended.
Both LeiLei and Hecathe got concerned as they had a feeling that this abrupt cut was definitely not normal.
"Marvin, are you okay?" LeiLei was the first to question with worry and Hecathe also soon followed as he got concerned.
"Marvin, what happened?" Hecathe asked with an apparent frown visible on his face. His eyebrows creased together and his muscles tensed up as he had a bad feeling about this in his stomach.
A few minutes passed and the two patiently waited for Marvin to respond, however, there was no response from Marvin's side.
"Sir, Can he hear us?" LeiLei questioned in all seriousness as the girl got worried.
"He should be able to hear us," Hecathe spoke with his eyebrows furrowed together, "Unless he closed the QMS."
"Then did he close the QMS?"
Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this question, "I would naturally not know but it would be a safe bet to say that he did."
"What do we do now?" LeiLei gulped as she asked.
It was almost two in the morning now and the chances of Marvin suddenly deciding to close the QMS without any warning was certainly not something normal.
"LeiLei, how long would it take for you to get to Marvin?" Hecathe asked sharply as he tried his best to stay calm and collected.
"Sir, a few seconds would do," LeiLei responded and Hecathe nodded his head as he heard this answer.
"Then go and find out what he is doing," Hecathe sighed as he spoke.
"Okay, Sir," LeiLei nodded her head as she heard this instruction.
If Hecathe were the one to go check on Marvin then it would take him at least solid twenty minutes but with the help of LeiLei's abilities, getting to Marvin faster was something easy for the girl.
