The mecha-suit clearly didn't seem to have expected this and he was pushed forward by surprise.
A small push was nothing too dangerous but that was only if Hecathe hadn't been there anticipating this blow.
Hecathe's lips curled up in a small smirk as he lifted his right leg and kicked right upwards and calculated his every move.
The mecha-suit was left with an opening under his chin for lesser than a second, however, that second was more than enough for Hecathe to grab the opportunity.
The mecha-suit fell forward and his own momentum acted against him as Hecathe kicked his chin upwards.
LeiLei's eyes widened slightly as she saw this scene and the girl was clearly surprised by Hecathe.
The mecha-suit fell back on impact, but the kick was still not enough to remove the helmet from the man's face which was what Hecathe was trying to do.
Marvin chuckled dryly as he fell down on his butt and commented, "I have a feeling that LeiLei has a grudge on me or something."
She could have clearly protected him better but the girl used him as a weapon instead and helped Hecathe.
Hecathe smirked as he heard this but didn't bother responding to it as he focused on the mecha-suit that was now on the floor.
The mecha-suit tried to push himself off the floor but Hecathe moved faster as he kicked up Marvin's saber with his left leg and caught it effortlessly before he spun around and used the momentum to strike the mecha-suit with force.
The blade of the saber didn't shine bright like it usually did when it was weilded by Marvin, however, the blade was till sharp and useful enough.
Marvin had certainly attacked this mecha-suit before and failed after not being able to penetrate the metal suit that the man wore.
Although Hecathe was also attacking the mecha-suit, his approach was much different from Marvin and this was because there was something about the mecha-suits that Hecathe knew but Marvin was unaware of.
Although the metal suit looked completely impenetrable and was said to be without an opening there was indeed a weak point and it was the point around the neck.
The helmet could come off so there was a weak point on the neck region that Hecathe clearly knew and the only reason why he knew this was because it was recorded in Alphius's diary.
Alphius had tried his best to remove all weak points expect for this one because he didn't want the mecha-suits to be completely indestructable.
The boy was certainly the one who created these mecha-suits but his own creation was so much more powerful that him that it was only natural that he was scared of it.
Deep down, Alphius believed that there might come a day when the mecha-suits would need to be defeated and for such a day, he made sure that he left behind a weakness in the mecha-suits.
However, this weakness was not known by anyone else and even the mecha-suits didn't know that they had such a weakness. They clearly considered themselves invinsible because Alphius made them believe in such a lie.
Hecathe ruthlessly used this weakness against the mecha-suit that they were fighting and aimed for the neck with an angle that would penetrate the metal skin of the suit and at the same time, would make sure that the man inside was not harmed.
This was especially a bit tricky because he wanted to keep the mecha-suit alive. If he had simply wanted to kill the man then he could chop the head right off, however, it would be troublesome to kill a mecha-suit since that would be equal to starting a war against all mecha-suits and Hecathe was clearly not looking to do something like that.
He wanted to warn the mecha-suit not to kill him and so, his job became a bit tricky.
Marvin looked at the sight in awe as this was the first time that he was seeing the man display such skills with calculated attack.
Just as expected, there was a crack on the neck of the suit this time and Hecathe looked to be pretty satisfied with it, however, this was still not enough to stop him from attacking the mecha-suit again.
The mecha-suit was down and had been taken by surprise so it was clearly an opportunity that could not missed.
Hecathe threw the saber back towards Marvin who caught it easily, "Stay on alert and make yourself useful."
Marvin gulped as he heard this and nodded his head in understanding as he stood up from the ground.
The mecha-suit also pushed himself off the ground and stood up as he looked around to attack Hecathe, however, the mecha-suit couldn't find the man that had managed to land two consequetive hits on him without even giving him a chance to retaliate.
"Huh?" The mecha-suit muttered in confusion as he didn't see Hecathe.
Hecathe sighed as he suddenly spoke and made his presence known, "When people get too high up, they forget to look down and that becomes a mistake that can never be fixed."
The mecha-suit immediately looked down at his feet and saw Hecathe crouching down on the ground for some reason but before the mecha-suit raised his gun, Hecathe kicked the mecha-suit's leg and took him down once again.
This time, Marvin also got the queue and acted together with Hecathe.
Hecathe had attacked the man twice at the same spot so it was now clear to Marvin that Hecathe as purposefully aiming for the neck and the boy knew that the man was not doing this impulsively but actually had a plan in his mind that he was following.
With this in mind, while the mecha-suit fell down, Marvin spun his saber and the blade came to life as it let out a white light and with a single strike upwards, the blade struck the jaw of the helmet and the cracked neck of the suit helped in breaking the helmet apart from the suit as the helmet flew up and revealed the face of the man that had been hiding behind that mecha-suit.
"Who the hell are you?!" The mecha-suit gritted out as he crawled back from the two with a bit of fear clearly evident in his voice and facial expression.
Hecathe chuckled as he heard this question and casually folded his legs as he sat criss-cross on the floor with his hand propelled up with the help of his elbow that was on his knee.
Hecathe leaned in and placed his chin on the palm of his hand that was facing up and smiled as he responded to the man, "Haven't you heard of manners? You should never ask the identity of a person wearing a mask like this. We hunters get offended very easily and if you're not careful then you might just end up as the prey."
The mecha-suit gulped as he heard this and with his helmet gone, the man was clearly not as confident as he was right before this when he was the one actively attacking Marvin.
Marvin sighed as he placed his saber behind his back and shook his head in disbelief as he looked at the mecha-suit and spoke, "You shouldn't have messed with the people here. Ocasia is not a place where you can rule whenever you want to."
The mecha-suit turned to Marvin and glared at the boy as he gritted his teeth.
Although Marvin was the one who had given the final blow that took off the mask, the man was still much more scared of Hecathe since he was the one who had planned this attack.
Before Hecathe came here, the mecha-suit clearly had an advantage over Marvin and would have definitely ended up winning this fight, however, once Hecathe had interfered, the fight was over before it could even properly start.
"You can't be normal hunters!" The man exclaimed accusingly as he looked at the two, "No hunter would try to pick a fight with us!"
Hecathe chuckled as he heard this and nodded his head as he responded, sounding a bit amused with the man's words, "You're right. No ordinary hunter would try to pick a fight with the mecha-suits but then again, it's you mecha-suits who are trying to pick a fight with us. You are the ones on our turf and you still dare to say that we are the ones in the wrong...?"
The mecha-suit was silent as he heard this and it seemed as if he had nothing to say mainly because there was some truth in what Hecathe had said.
"Now, this boy," Hecathe lifted up the half-burnt, half-torn poster of Alphius that had been thrown to the ground at some point, "I have seen him. He asked me directions for Zeblor from here. The lad said something about wanting to avenge his friend's father."
The mecha-suit's eyes widened as he heard this and he was clearly a bit surprised to hear Hecathe giving the answer just like that.
