Chapter 143 - Not Answering The Question

Hecathe smiled and his eyes formed two crescents as he spoke, "See? If you had simply asked politely, people would have helped you out more easily."

Although he was smiling, the mecha-suit could feel that there was no joy in his smile and this just made him feel even more intimidated by this man who had easily defeated him.

"Now, let me ask you a question," Hecathe sighed as he shook his head in disbelief and asked, "Why are you looking for him? He didn't really look like the type who would offend you mecha-suits."

The mecha-suit gulped as he heard this but just like the previous mecha-suit that Hecathe had to deal with before coming here, this one was also not as willing to answer this question as he kept his mouth shut tight.

"You don't want to answer me?" Hecathe asked as he calmly tilted his head and the mecha-suit once again said nothing as he kept his mouth shut and simply glared at the man.

"Okay, then." Hecathe sighed as he stood up straight and looked down at the mecha-suit coldly before stretching his right hand towards the right side with his palm facing up as he simply waited.

Marvin chuckled dryly as he shook his head and immediately placed his saber on the palm of Hecathe's hand.

Hecathe spun the saber around and because of the heavy blade that was on both sides of the hilt, the saber became rather easier to spin and created a bit of a scary momentum.

"I'll give you another chance," Hecathe spoke as he looked at the mecha-suit, "I know I was the one that said violence wasn't the way but it seems that violence is your language and if I want to successfully communicate with you then I'd also be forced to use this language."

The mecha-suit gritted his teeth as he heard this and his eyebrows creased together, however, he was still reluctant to give Hecathe an answer and so, Hecathe decided to repeat his question.

"Just why are you looking for the boy?"

"Boy, you're too conceited!" The mecha-suit finally opened his mouth to say something but he certainly didn't have anything good to say to Hecathe nor was he easily going to give up the answer to the question.

Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard the man's words.

It wasn't like nobody had ever said such things to Hecathe. In fact, if truth be told then there were certainly worse things that people had to say about Hecathe.

"Why do you think I would tell you anything?!" The mecha-suit questioned as he raised his voice and he certainly sounded as if he had been offended by Hecathe today.

"Hmm," Hecathe hummed as he nodded his head and agreed with the man, "You're right. There's no reason for you to give me an answer."

The mecha-suit's expressions looked to be even more complicated as he heard this response that was clearly unexpected.

"But I'm curious to know. I just love minding other people's business and poking my nose into matters that do not concern me," Hecathe shrugged his shoulders as he shamelessly added and the mecha-suit was now left a little speechless.

LeiLei, who was hiding behind a broken wall till now, suddenly came out of her hiding spot and used her powers to immediately teleport right behind the mecha-suit.

With a chuckle, the girl managed to scare the mecha-suit who flinched and immediately felt a shiver run down his spine. He turned his head up in a shocked manner and looked to be even more scared when he saw the face of the girl who was smiling as she looked down at him.

"Brother, you're so amazing. For a second there, I really thought you were going to kill us," LeiLei complimented the mecha-suit but the man clearly didn't look to be pleased with this compliment that sounded rather empty.

LeiLei slowly walked over to Hecathe as she didn't wait around for a response from the mecha-suit.

"Sir, you were also amazing!~" LeiLei beamed as she complimented Hecathe as well, "I thought you were bluffing when you said you were going to use no weapons, but you really depended mostly on your bare fists. Your kick was also amazing! It's the first time that I'm seeing someone who is this well trained!"

Hecathe blankly blinked for a second there and wondered if this girl was simply trying to please him with sweet words or if she really meant what she had said.

"She clearly doesn't mean it," Marvin sighed as he muttered in a low volume as he guessed what Hecathe was thinking at this moment.

Hecathe also sighed as he heard this and nodded his head as he softly responded, "I also thought the same."

"Sir, what are we going to do next? Can we please chop him up and feed him to eggy?~" LeiLei asked enthusiastically as she clapped her hands and Hecathe couldn't help but be a little surprised with the girl who looked to be happy with just the thought of torturing a mecha-suit.

"Why do you sound so happy about chopping him up?" Hecathe asked with a frown as he looked at the girl with interest that could clearly be seen in his eyes.

LeiLei pouted as she heard this and shook her head as she spoke with a pitiful tone, "It's just that I hate mecha-suits. They all deserve to die..."

Hecathe and Marvin both paused for a second there as they heard this and they didn't dare say anything as they could sense that there was something more that the girl wanted to say.

"I don't know who killed my father but my father's most trusted friend said that it was a mecha-suit!" LeiLei exclaimed as she gritted her teeth in anger that was mixed with sadness that was a bit hard to sense.

"So you hate them all?" It was the mecha-suit who clicked his tongue as he questioned.

The girl snapped her head towards him and the frown on her face turned into a thin smile that was even more unsettling, "If you were me then wouldn't you hate them all as well?"

Hecathe and Marvin shared a look as they heard this and both gulped at the same time as they got a bit worried.

"LeiLei, Didn't you say that you've already let go of the pain and grudge?" Hecathe asked as he tried to remain as calm and neutral as possible.

The girl nodded her head as she heard this, "I've let go of the guilt and pain, but who said that I let go of the grudge?"

"..."

"Just because I am not actively seeking revenge doesn't mean that I've forgotten nor does it mean that I've let it go," LeiLei continued with a sigh, "I believe that this world is round. What goes around, comes around and I'm sure that one day, the heaven's would directly bring the killer in front of me and that would be the day when I finally avenge my parents."

Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this.

It seemed that her words were more right than what she originally believed them to be.

Since Hecathe was here in front of her in the form of Alphius, it could be said that the heaven's had really brought the killer in front of her just like what she had believed, but of course, this would naturally not be known by her.

The mecha-suit scoffed as he heard LeiLei's words and it was clear that he wasn't pleased to hear her thoughts.

"So you think you can avenge your parents by killing every mecha-suit that you meet?" He asked as he glared at the girl.

LeiLei pouted her lips as she heard this and innocently shook her head as she responded, "Sadly, I cannot do that."

The mecha-suit looked to be a little confused as he heard this and he tilted his head as he merely waited for the girl to continue speaking and didn't bother questioning anything.

LeiLei sighed as she wrapped her hands around Hecathe's left arm and spoke, "I'm working with this guy and he doesn't want me to get into trouble for killing you people. Unless I have his permission, I am forced to let you be."

"..." The mecha-suit was a little speechless as he heard this and unconsciously turned to look at Hecathe as he wondered something in his mind that could not be easily guessed.

"LeiLei, you're right. I'm not letting you kill him," Hecathe raised his right hand as he rubbed his forehead and spoke, "We'll have a lot of trouble if we do that so stay still and don't say anything. We are not chopping him up tonight."

LeiLei frowned as she heard this but the girl had clearly expected to hear something like this.

"But that doesn't mean we can't torture him a little," Hecathe added with a small wicked smirk that was hardly noticeable on his face.

The mecha-suit gulped as he heard this and the man could clearly tell that Hecathe was not merely joking when he said this.
