Chapter 181 - Hecathe Is Clearly Angry...

"Aaaaaaa!" LeiLei suddenly screamed as she covered her ears and crouched down to the ground, "I don't know! I don't know! Stop it! Leave me alone!"

Somehow, Hecathe had managed to touch a triggering topic that managed to break LeiLei down.

LeiLei knew the murderer and there was no doubt about that, but for some reason, the girl refused to say anything and it almost seemed as if she didn't even believe her own memories.

Hecathe sighed as he shook his head in disappointment, "If that's how you want to be, there's nothing I can do about it. You are better off forgetting the whole thing and don't you dare speak a word about avenging your folks again."

Hecathe didn't bother waiting for a response from the girl nor did he ask any further questions as he left LeiLei alone and turned around, walking towards the door.

"That's really it...?" Marvin asked with a bit of confusion and shock as he looked at Hecathe. He was sure Hecathe was the type of person who would normally pressure a person till he got the answers that he wanted, but it seemed that Hecathe was not being that forceful towards LeiLei..

Hecathe nodded his head and said nothing as he opened the door.

"The hell is going on?!" Kelly immediately shouted as she folded her hands in front of her and glared at Hecathe who had just opened the door, "Did you three throw me out of my own office?!"

"Good morning, Miss Kelly," Hecathe greeted the woman with a nod and simply walked away without saying anything more.

"..." Kelly pursed her lips into a thin line and looked to be unhappy as she glared at the man's moving back, "What happened to him...??"

"He's probably not in a good mood," Marvin shrugged his shoulders as he spoke casually, "By the way, you look lovely today as well, Miss Kelly."

Kelly's frown deepened as she heard this and she opened her mouth to say something but instead of waiting around to listen, Marvin head out and followed after Hecathe.

Now LeiLei was the only one who was left behind in the office and this made her the one who was scolded by the woman, which was a bit fair considering the fact that she was the one who had thrown Kelly out of her own office.

Hecathe and Marvin went down to the mutant cave and for the first time, Hecathe actually fought the mutants instead of ordering them to give up their mutant beads.

Marvin was shocked and speechless as he saw Hecathe beating the mutants bare-handed.

No matter how amazing a person was, they would certainly not be able to beat such vicious creatures like this.

Even Marvin wouldn't be able to do something like this so it was truly a bit amazing to watch this scene.

It seemed that Hecathe was really not in a good mood today...

When their time was up and they went back to hand in the mutant beads, Hecathe simply decided to go for another round and went into another mutant cave.

Since Marvin hadn't really fought the mutants yet, he wasn't tired, but he was worried that the same could not be said about Hecathe.

Hecathe's forehead was completely covered with sweat and his back was also drenched in it, however, he still claimed to have a lot of energy left.

The girl in charge of sending them to the mutant cave looked at Hecathe in shock and worry, however, since he was the one requesting this, she naturally had no objections.

Marvin also followed Hecathe and once again, he saw the man fighting the mutants with his bare hands.

The mutants obeyed Hecathe and because Hecathe ordered them to attack him, they certainly didn't hold back on their attacks.

Marvin had his saber out just in case things went south, but thankfully enough, it looked like the mutants were simply no match for Hecathe who had a lot of tricks up his sleeves.

After a few minutes, their time was up once again and they were sent back to the guild.

"Are you done now or do you still have some energy left to burn?" Marvin asked as he raised his eyebrows.

"Once more," Hecathe muttered as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath in.

"..."

It almost felt as if Hecathe had gone crazy... There was no other explanation to it...

After another few rounds, Hecathe looked as if he was ready to pass out and even then, he didn't want to stop, hence, Marvin had to force him to stop.

"Take it easy," Marvin sighed as he looked at the man, "You're going to make the mutants go extinct if you keep this up."

Hecathe looked down at his hands that were all cut up and dirty. Just making a fist seemed to hurt him, but he was still not satisfied.

"What's gotten into you?" Marvin asked in disbelief.

"I want to get better," Hecathe spoke and Marvin blinked innocently as he wondered if he had heard it right or not.

"Eh...?"

"I want to get stronger," Hecathe rephrased it and repeated a bit louder and this time, Marvin was sure that he had heard it right.

"..."

It was the first time Hecathe was indirectly claiming to be weak and Marvin didn't know if he was supposed to laugh about this or not.

"So you think that you're not already strong enough...?" Marvin gulped as he hesitantly asked.

Hecathe gritted his teeth and looked to be a bit offended as he heard this but instead of snapping at the boy, he actually nodded his head and accepted it as he spoke, "I need to be stronger."

"But why...?" Marvin asked as he tilted his head in confusion.

He simply could not understand what suddenly inspired Hecathe to be like this.

"Marvin, I'm going to bring down the three willows of spring," Hecathe stated firmly and Marvin had to once again check whether he was hearing this right or not.

"You mean to say...?" The boy didn't even dare complete that question as he simply waited for an explanation from Hecathe.

"The three willows of spring are in this together," Hecathe spoke and Marvin's eyes widened slightly as he heard this.

"What?"

"Why do you think they were so eager to frame Alphius and execute him as soon as your father was killed?" Hecathe asked as he side-glanced at the boy.

"..." Previously, they had only suspected Asgarian but now that Hecathe had said this, Marvin couldn't help but think about it a bit deeper and grow even more suspicious.

"I'm sorry for hiding it from you," Hecathe sighed as he apologized and this was a bit of a surprise since it wasn't every day that Marvin got to see this man apologizing, "I suspected it since the beginning but you looked to be sure that it was Asgarian and I simply thought everything would somehow work out and the truth would eventually reveal itself."

"But now that I think about it," Hecathe shook his head with a bit of disappointment as he spoke, "I might have been wrong."

"How can you be sure?" Marvin asked with a frown as his eyes narrowed down on the man.

"Because they are the three willows of spring. They are only strong together and a single willow is only as good as being killed by Alphius. Dorka wasn't killed because he was weak. He was killed because he acted alone and provoked Alphius first."

"But that proves nothing," Marvin immediately responded as he still refused to completely accept this as a fact.

"It proves quite a lot actually," Hecathe sighed as he spoke, "Even back then, Asgarian was there to kill LeiLei's father, and even now, he dares to murder the great Orgon. The case back then was covered up simply because the victim was a person who was not very known. However, Orgon was someone who was widely known and famous but even his case was not solved properly but was simply rushed over."

Marvin gulped as he heard this and didn't dare say anything to that.

"Do you think the other two willows are nothing more than dumb figureheads?" Hecathe questioned as he raised his eyebrows, "There is nothing in this city that they do not know and perhaps there are many things that only they know."

"So... This was why you wanted to start a war...?" Marvin asked and Hecathe let out a small dry chuckle as he heard this.

"Why would I start a war for your father? I've never even met that man," Hecathe shrugged his shoulders as he responded a bit too casually, "The three willows of spring annoy me and that's why I wanted to send them to hell. Coincidently enough, they just happened to be deserving of that."

"..."

"You look like you want to punch me," Hecathe commented as he pursed his lips into a thin smile.

"You are good at reading people," Marvin responded without missing a beat.
