Chapter 232 - Lost Consciousness (Part-3)

"What the hell do you think you are doing? He is your biological brother!" Mo Jun couldn't take Mo Jiang's unfair actions towards Mo Jinnan anymore.

"And he is your biological son and you are ready to let him die in our disgusting world which you have started in your greed." Mo Jiang didn't bother to give a face to Mo Jun in front of his men.

"You…"

Before Mo Jun could utter a word further, the tapping of strong leather shoes on the floor was heard. Everyone turned to take a look and found Si Li was here with his men.

Si Li came and stood beside Mo Jiang before Mo Jiang turned towards his men. "I have something to announce."

"Last night, I came to the realization that we, as a team, aren't efficient to protect ourselves let alone, to protect each other. Thus, now I hereby declare Si Li and his men to be our partners. I hope you all will accept them and work as a single team. That's it for now, you can leave now." With that, Mo Jiang announced his decision to his men and Mo Jiang as no way in hell would he take the help of Mo Jinnan, not even when death would stand in front of him.

Afterward, Mo Jiang and Si Li discussed the detailed plan for the upcoming mission and especially, how to protect themselves because, from the recent activities, it was evident that the people from the American Underworld seemed to be interested in the European Underworld. 

That was why they had targeted the people from European Underworld just like the way the bunch of men targeted Mo Jiang's ship when an important consignment of his was about to be sent out. Moreover, many people from European Underworld were being killed lately and Mo Jiang would have died last night if Liu Juan wasn't there.

Thinking about her, it seemed that now the time had arrived when Mo Jiang had to keep his ego aside and go to find her.

After meeting Liu Ruolan, Liu Juan walked back to her home. Though the cab driver had decided to wait for Liu Juan and offered her to give a ride back to the city, it seemed that she didn't hear him and walked absentmindedly.

The thing which was running in her mind was Liu Ruolan's hatred for her which was very hard to digest that even after many months had passed, Liu Juan couldn't help but feel disappointed after raising her hopes all over again.

By the time Liu Juan reached her home, the sun had gone down for a long time and the dark night was all over the sky just like the darkness lingering in her life.

Liu Juan was so immersed in her deep sorrow that she forgot about her right leg and continued to walk for several hours till she reached the old building where she lived.

However, her right leg didn't forget about its condition and finally gave up after being pushed to an edge.

Liu Juan lost her balance and was about to fall but then unanticipatedly, a pair of arms came and secured her in them.

Being a vigilant person, Liu Juan was always in her alert mood. However, unbeknownst to her alert consciousness, Liu Juan sniffed familiar scent and her subconsciousness let down her guard before she closed her eyes.

"Miss Liu… Miss Liu…" Mo Jiang called her out a few times and shook her body. "Liu Juan!"

But it looked like she didn't want to wake up, making Mo Jiang panic.

When he threatened to fire her from her job, she boldly accepted it. In fact, last night, she daringly killed a bunch of men in the blink of an eye. Therefore, he was confused as to what had happened to make her so vulnerable that she lost her consciousness before she could reach her home.

Seeing her weak appearance, Mo Jiang's heart wanted to protect her instead of taking her help to join his team to protect his team members with her exceptional skills. 

Well, Mo Jiang wasn't the only one who wanted to protect her. There was one more person who was standing far away, hiding behind the car, but could see everything that was happening.

Tonight, not only Mo Jiang came to meet her but also Bo Xiao had come.

Since Bo Xiao had confessed his love for Liu Juan, he wanted to spend every moment with her. However, Liu Juan turned indifferent towards his feelings just the way before when he had confessed his liking for her.

In fact, this time, she used all the means to avoid him. Except for work, she didn't say a word to him.

Bo Xiao knew that Liu Ruolan had gone to meet Liu Juan and Liu Juan, as usual, must be depressed after their meeting. Thus, he didn't delay coming here to give her comfort and to let her know that no matter what would be her behavior towards him, he would always be there with her.

Unfortunately, Bo Xiao arrived a few seconds late which brought him to a disadvantage as now Liu Juan was in the arms of Mo Jiang and not his.

Seeing Liu Juan close to some other man, Bo Xiao clenched his fist and his blood boiled. Bo Xiao wanted to rush there and take Liu Juan away from Mo Jiang's arms but thinking about their plan, he stopped.

Nevertheless, Mo Jiang didn't stop. He took Liu Juan in his arms and put her in his car which soon disappeared in the dark night.
