Chapter 279 - Confess to her(Part-2)

"Why hasn't she woken up yet? You have to do something." Mo Jiang as usual frustratingly burst into  Zhou Xuiye's office and demanded.

Zhou Xuiye again put down the pen in annoyance and asked, "Can't you see that I am busy?"

"I don't care." Mo Jiang said in a deadpan tone and asked further, "And what is that 'so much more important work that you have other than taking care of patients? Liu Juan is your patient. Don't forget that."

"Thanks to you, I am still alive and have patients." Zhou Xuiye sarcastically said and snapped at him  "And yes, Liu Juan is a patient so let her take her time to heal all those wounds which she had suffered all those years. I can't force her to heal earlier than the expected time frame."

"But you haven't mentioned that she will be gone into a coma for so long."

"Enough! I am a doctor, not God. You can't mark my words like a line on a rock. If you don't like my way of treatment, you can take your wife to any other doctor of your choice." Zhou Xuiye couldn't tolerate Mo Jiang's impatience anymore.

"You…" Mo Jiang couldn't believe that Zhou Xuiye was talking back to him. It was one of the rare things.

"What? Want to kill me? Don't you dare to forget that my bodyguards are still standing outside!" Zhou Xuiye threatened him.

"Do you really think that your bodyguards would be able to stop me if I decide to kill you?" Mo Jiang asked back.

"Why don't you try them?" Even Zhou Xuiye didn't take a step back like she used to do before, especially in front of Mo Jiang.

Although Mary was the one who took the immediate action to appoint these bodyguards today against the wish of Zhou Xuiye as she was worried that Mo Jiang would hop on Zhou Xuiye seeing that Liu Juan hadn't woken up yet, if the situation demanded Zhou Xuiye didn't mind using these bodyguards.

"Sure. I will definitely try them once I have a plan to kill you." Mo Jiang sneered and walked out of her office while giving a look towards the bodyguards and laughing internally.

Did Zhou Xuiye really think these bodyguards would really be able to save her if someone from the Underworld wanted to kill her?

Naive girl!

"I am here for you and you have been sleeping so long. Come on, wake up now." Mo Jiang said softly as he sat beside her and c.a.r.e.s.sed her hair.

"Where is your brother? I haven't seen him for the past two days? After getting married, did he forget that he has a company to run?" Mo Jin disgruntled as he came to Mo Jinnan's office who was buried under tons of work because of Mo Jiang's absence.

It wasn't that Mo Jiang hadn't been missing before and put Mo Jinnan under the pressure of all the work but this time, Liu Juan had also gone missing with him.

So before Mo Jin questioned him, Mo Jinnan was already worried about them.

Although Mo Jinnan didn't know much about Liu Juan, he knew that she wasn't an ordinary girl.

Did she go with Mo Jiang for a mission?

That could be one case.

Thinking that there was someone with his brother, Mo Jinnan then sighed in relief.

"I don't know. Perhaps, he has gone for a mission." Mo Jinnan replied.

"Do you think I wouldn't have known if he had gone on a mission?" Mo Jin growled.

"Since you don't know about him, how would I know?"

"That's why I asked you to join our Underworld business to help your brother, but you…" Mo Jin looked at him in dissatisfaction.

"So you want me to lose my life for your business like you made our mother do for you?"

"Mo Jinnan." Mo Jin warned loudly.

"Your raised voice won't deny the truth." Mo Jinnan said.

"You are the same as your brother!" Mo Jin snapped.

"Isn't that good I should be like my brother rather than be like you?"

"You…"

"Enough! I am busy. If you don't have something important to say, you can leave!" Mo Jinnan ended their conversation on an unsatisfactory note for Mo Jin.

'Thud.'

In the next second, Mo Jin stalked off leaving behind the loud sound of the door shutting close.

Mo Jinnan continued to work but Mo Jin's words were stuck in his mind. If Mo Jiang didn't go for a mission then where was he; and where was Liu Juan?

He tried to continue his work but he wasn't able to do so. In the end, he dropped his work in the middle, took his coat, and strode off from his office.

Mo Jiang didn't know but his words had put a great effect on Liu Juan that her wonderful dreams had stopped and now her mind had turned black.

Since the blissful dreams had stopped, Liu Juan couldn't continue to sleep, and finally, she opened her eyes.

And the first thing that she saw was Mo Jiang's sleeping face.

He was sleeping beside her. 

Liu Juan blinked her eyes a few times but Mo Jiang's face was still there.

'So it isn't a dream.' Liu Juan thought.

Perhaps, Mo Jiang felt her intense gaze on him and he opened his eyes immediately. Seeing her wake up, his eyes lit up.

"Have you woken up? Are you alright?" Mo Jiang worriedly asked and put his hand on her cheek.

"Hmm…How long have I been sleeping for?" Liu Juan asked in a weak voice.

"Five days. How can you sleep for so long? This is the height of your laziness." Mo Jiang complained unhappily.

"I am having dreams but they stopped because you..." Liu Juan didn't know what happened but she might have heard him saying 'wake up' to her.

Liu Juan's mind seemed to be messed up. She wasn't clean when she slept and she didn't recall why.

She tried to recall and soon enough, all the things that had happened that night started surfacing in her mind. Liu Juan immediately tensed up.

A horrifying thought came to her mind.
