Chapter 288 - Wedding (Part-2)

"No! You are not going to any session and that's final!" Mo Jiang declared. Since Liu Juan saw through his trick, he didn't bother to hide.

"But…"

"No means No. End of this discussion." Mo Jiang sternly said.

"This is not a discussion. This is your command and I refuse to listen to you this time." Liu Juan didn't step back and retorted angrily.

Mo Jiang put down the spoon in annoyance but he calmed down himself by taking a few deep breaths and said. "Listen, Juan, you have already been close to death two times before. I don't want to take a risk again. I don't want to lose you. Please listen to me. I don't mind if you want to take more time. You can have all the time in this lifetime, I will wait. I promise."

"But I don't want to live in my past anymore. I want to live in my present. I want to live with you. I promise I won't let anything happen to me. I have been listening to you all this while. This time, just this time, listen to me. I really want to do this and I will be okay." Liu Juan said firmly and held his hand to intertwine her fingers with his.

She knew that he was worried about her and she couldn't explain how happy she was upon seeing this. Nevertheless, there was a last bitter path left which she needed to cross to come to a path that was filled with roses.

Still, Mo Jiang wasn't convinced but he knew that he couldn't force her. He regretted his decision to bring her here.

However, what else he could do except doing the thing that she wanted to do because he didn't want to lose her at any cost.

"Fine but I am warning you if you have gone into a coma again, I…" Mo Jiang couldn't dare to imagine further.

"Nothing will happen to me. I promise." Liu Juan's heart melted and she hugged him while she said.

"If you  go back from your promise, Just wait and see how I will deal with you." Mo Jiang warned her despite knowing that if she went into a coma again, there would not be a chance to deal with her ever again.

"I won't dare to. Now feed me. I am hungry."

"Eat yourself. I am angry."

"Alright, I will feed you."

"I don't want it."

"But you still have to eat. Come on, open your mouth...Ah. Come on hubby"

With that, the couple came to a decision. 

This time, Liu Juan wasn't nervous and anxious but Mo Jiang was.

His palm turned sweaty in nervousness and anxiety was clearly seen on his face.

Although he had decided to be present in the session room with Liu Juan. Dr. Frederick told him that they would hypnotize Liu Juan to know the exact state of her mind.

Mo Jiang thought that his presence would make her feel secure but if she was in a hypnotized state, anything could happen.

Soon, Dr. Frederick made  Liu Juan drift into a hypnotic state and started asking her the relevant questions.

Mo Jiang and Zhou Xuiye were also present in the room. Zhou Xuiye was taking notes on all the questions asked to Liu Juan and her answers as well. Whereas Mo Jiang was very scared and feeling restless but he forced himself to sit still. 

He didn't want to do anything which would affect Liu Juan adversely.

Slowly-slowly, Dr. Frederick started asking the basic questions and then turned to the serious questions.

"Miss. Liu. How is your life?"

"My life is very good." 

"Why?"

"Because I have someone who loves me."

Who is this person?"

"My husband."

"And what about other people? What about your sister? Do you love her?"

"I do but she hates me."

"Why?"

"Because she thinks I betrayed her."

"Why does she think like that?" Dr. Frederick asked to which both Mo Jiang and Zhou Xuiye turned tense as they knew where Dr. Frederick was going.

"Because…" However, Liu Juan didn't seem to be affected by it and calmly told everything about her past.

There was no hint of fear and reluctance in her voice.

"What did you do to those men?"

"I killed them." An instant reply came from Liu Juan.

"Are you still afraid of them?" Dr. Frederick continued to ask.

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I have my husband who protects me every time."

The series of questions continued for a few hours before Dr. Frederick decided to end it.

"Miss. Liu. Now you can slowly open your eyes." Dr. Frederick said. 

Mo Jiang turned tense at this moment. If Liu Juan didn't wake up now, then what would he do? His heart was pounding against his c.h.e.s.t like a drum. He waited with his bated breath and could clearly hear his heartbeats.

'Pank.'

Seeing her alive and fine, Mo Jiang finally reminded himself to take a breath which he had been holding on to for an unknown time.

"Miss. Liu, can you recognize me?" Dr. Frederick asked.

Liu Juan was feeling dazed  for a moment but then she replied. "Dr. Frederick."

Dr. Frederick asked a few more questions. After ensuring that she was completely alright,he then said. "Congratulations. Mr. Mo. Your wife is completely alright. Now she doesn't need us anymore."

Hearing this, Liu Juan and Mo Jiang couldn't believe it but they knew it was nothing but absolutely true. 

Mo Jiang couldn't control himself, he walked towards Liu Juan and hugged her. "Do it."

"Thank you...If it wasn't for you, I…" Liu Juan choked, her eyes were moist. After so many years of struggle, she finally felt relaxed and happy.

Mo Jiang's heart ached thinking about her miserable life but now everything was gone. So there was nothing to cry about.

Mo Jiang wiped her eyes and said softly. "Come on. Let's go home."
