Chapter 289 - Wedding (Part-3)

"Congratulation, Liu Juan. You did it." Zhou Xuiye said. She was really happy for her friend.

"Thank you. It happened all because of you. I can't express my gratitude to you."  Liu Juan knew that if it wasn't for Zhou Xuiye's strategy and smart work, she wouldn't have overcome her past so soon.

But now she was free.

"This is all my job." Zhou Xuiye said while giving a side-eye to Mo Jiang with a look that seemed to say, 'look-what-your-wife-is-saying'.

After all, he was the one who kept questioning her decision and threatening her.

Mo Jiang didn't comment in between but he couldn't stop himself from rolling his eyes. In response, Zhou Xuiye left with a humph.

'Ungrateful.'

Afterward, Mo Jiang immediately completed all the procedures of discharge and called Mo Jinnan.

His wedding plan had been postponed because Liu Juan had gone into a coma but now that she was completely alright, he didn't want to delay his wedding.

Moreover, today's weather was perfect.

It was a perfect day for their wedding.

Liu Juan was clueless and took her sweet time to pack her things and said goodbye to the staff members who were friendly to her. 

Since Mo Jiang wanted to give her a surprise,he behaved normally and thought to complete the last work meantime.

"Mr. Mo, what are you doing here? Your wife is alright now. You should take her home." Mary gingerly said as she saw him walking towards Zhou Xuiye's office.

Mo Jiang smiled seeing her wariness but didn't bother with her words and asked instead. "Is Zhou Xuiye here?"

Why is he looking for Dr. Zhou? 

Is he here to take revenge for causing his wife trouble?

"That…" Mary was reluctant to answer him, thinking her thoughts.

However, Mo Jiang didn't need her answer and he had already come to know that Zhou Xuiye was here. So he walked into her office before Mary could decide what to say to shoo him off.

By the time she could understand, Mo Jiang had already entered Zhou Xuiye's office. "Mr. Mo, you can't walk in like this."

Zhou Xuiye, who was busy with her work, as usual, looked up upon hearing the commotion.

"What are you doing here?" Zhou Xuiye asked. She was wearing round specs just like the way she used to do in her school. In school days, seeing her appearance with round glasses on her face, everyone thought that she was a sensible child but the reality was completely different.

"Do you still make people  fool by wearing these glasses?" Mo Jiang asked instead as he sat opposite to her.

"What do you want now?" Zhou Xuiye asked tiredly. She didn't want to see him now and ever. Seeing him with Liu Juan, she felt pain and she didn't want to get hurt anymore.

That was why she was here instead of seeing Liu Juan off.

Asking him a question, Zhou Xuiye was expecting a demand but instead, Mo Jiang said. "Thank you."

Zhou Xuiye was stunned for a minute and said after swallowing her saliva. "I did what a doctor should do."

"But you did more than a doctor. You are Liu Juan's friend and I want you to continue being her friend and…" Mo Jiang paused in a dilemma whether to continue or not but he finally said. "I want you to move on. Find someone you like and marry him. Life is very boring alone. Trust me."

Instantly she felt choked in her throat.

Find someone and get married.

Move on, Zhou Xuiye.

She also wanted to do it but it was easier to say than do so.

However, now, it was too late.

And she didn't want to admit but she jealous of Liu Juan.

"I will." Zhou Xuiye blinked a few times to hold back her tears and said while putting on a strong front.

"And if you need anything. You can find me anytime. I will always be your friend until I die. Now I can take my leave. Goodbye Zhou Xuiye." Mo Jiang said and extended his hand towards her.

"Good bye Mo Jiang." She shook her hands with his.

Perhaps, it was really time to move on.

Afterward, Liu Juan and Mo Jiang also left the hospital.

Later, the same night, Zhou Xuiye also finished her work and packed up. "Mary, I am taking my leave. You can go back early and take a rest."

"So soon?" Mary was shocked to see her leaving.

"Why? Are you unhappy that I am leaving you?" Zhou Xuiye asked perplexedly while she, subconsciously, knew why Mary was shocked.

"No...No...I am happy. I think you should leave early every day."

"Since you are happy. Do you mind joining me for a drink?" Zhou Xuiye asked anticipatedly.

"Me?" Mary was again shocked.

"Yes, you. You know I have no family. So it will be great to have your company. So will you come?"

Mary felt sad for Zhou Xuiye but she felt elated at the thought of joining her. "Sure...Sure...Just give me five minutes. I will pack my things."

"Alright. I will wait for you in the parking lot. Come soon." Zhou Xuiye walked away and Mary ran to pack her things.

Mary and Zhou Xuiye went to a bar to enjoy their life.
