Mo Jun angrily stood up and threw the teacup in his direction. "And do you think I will leave my son in your hands after your systems failed to protect him?" Mo Jun challenged him. "I am not afraid of you." He added.​​

"Dad." Mo Jinnan stopped Mo Jun before he could start fighting with Si Li. Mo Jinnan was standing outside Si Li's office and was stunned to hear their conversation.

He already knew that Liu Juan did not have a clean background. Initially, he was worried but seeing Mo Jiang happy with her, Mo Jinnan did not probe into her matters.

In fact, he was also happy to be with his family but he did not expect that Liu Juan might be the reason behind the destruction of Mo Jiang.

"Jinnan, did you hear what he has done? He has taken away Mo Jiang to god knows where!" Mo Jun raised his hands in frustration and anger.

"That I can't tell you." Si Li replied in a deadpan manner.

"He is my brother." Mo Jinnan stated.

"And he is my friend whose life is more important to me than to you."

Mo Jinnan sneered, "Really then where were you when your system failed? You can't deny the fact that you are also responsible for what happened to my big brother's family."

"Yes, it is my fault. I will give an explanation to you and help you stabilize Mo Corporation as compensation." Si Li said.

"I don't think I need your help. I am the acting CEO of Mo Corporation now. I know how to handle my company but you owe us, right?"

"Hmm." Si Li agreed but he was also suspicious of what Mo Jinnan was going to say.

"Great. Then add me to your Underworld Business." Mo Jinnan said.

Mo Jun was first shocked but then ecstatic to hear it. Nevertheless, Si Li immediately rejected it. "That is not going to happen."

Mo Jiang would kill him once he gets to know about it.

"Fine. Give us Big Brother back then." Mo Jinnan put forth the alternative option in front of Si Li.

Mo Jinnan knew that Mo Jiang's team would never include Mo Jinnan in their team because of Mo Jiang's instructions which he had given to them.

Thus, he could add himself to Si Li's team now and then develop his own team completely separate from Mo Jiang's team.

Then what about Mo Jiang?

Even though Si Li's system had failed, Mo Jinnan knew that it was not Si Li's fault. Someone from inside, maybe from Mo Jiang's team, might have done something to the systems.

"You know that you can't blackmail me." Si Li said sternly. 

"I am giving you options. Either add me to your team or give us Big Brother back." Mo Jinnan negotiated.

Mo Jun stood there quietly. He wanted to see where Mo Jinnan was going with his conditions first before acting on his own..

"What if I reject both the options?"

"Then you will be in trouble." Mo Jinnan said, making Si Li frown.

Mo Jinnan continued further. "You know what will happen once Big Brother's team knows that you have hidden away Big Brother. One day or the other, they will find him, and then what will happen to big brother when you know there is a black sheep hiding in his team?"

Si Li narrowed his eyes. He knew that what Mo Jinnan was saying was right. His systems could not fail unless and until someone had messed up with them. And that someone might be from Mo Jiang's team because they were the only one who knew about the systems apart from Mo Jiang and Si Li.

Mo Jinnan was able to find out about this thing which showed that he was determined to get into the Underworld Business this time and that was why he was here.

"Fine. I will help you." 

"So is it a deal?" Mo Jinnan raised his hand towards Si Li.

"Deal." Si Li shook his hand with him.

"Dad, let's go back." Mo Jinnan said and turned to leave as the situation in the Mo Corporation was still troublesome. He had come here because he had come to know that Si Li had hidden Mo Jiang away for his safety purpose. He understood the situation but did not know how to start protecting his family. Now that the opportunity had presented itself, he did not stay back to let pass by without grasping it in his hands.

Mo Jinnan knew that Mo Jiang would be angry but to protect his family, he could not hide from this dark side of their family.

If he had joined the Underworld business before, perhaps, Mo Jiang and his family would have been alive now.

But it was too late to say.

"Why do you want to work with him? We have our own men. You can lead them. And are you going to let him have Jiang? Are you crazy? We can't trust anyone at this point in time, even him!" Mo Jun snapped as soon as they were out of Si Li's office.

"Yes, you are right. We can't trust anyone and that's why we have lost Big Brother and his family. All thanks to you." Mo Jinnan said sarcastically.

"What do you mean? Don't talk to me with this tone of yours!" Mo Jun snarled.

"Why do you feel offended now? If you hadn't sacrificed mother, Big Brother would have allowed me to be with him, instead of carrying the burden all by himself. Things would have been different now if that were the case but…" He was infuriated because of the loss he was suffering.

There were so many people he wanted to blame including himself to ease the pain that he was feeling right now. But he knew that it would not change the reality.

"Stay out of my life." Mo Jinnan uttered the words and left.

Mo Jinnan walked out of the Si Corporation. When he heard someone called him. "Jinnan, wait…"

Song Tianxin strode toward him, panting but there was a smile on her face upon seeing him. "Jinnan, I tried to call you many times but you did not pick up any of my calls. Where were you--"

"Tianxin, Let's break up." Mo Jinnan interrupted and burst out.

Song Tianxin was shocked. What did he say? She questioned herself.

Mo Jinnan was already in pain and he did not want to face her after the words he had said to her. So he started walking away from there.

But Song Tianxin held his arms. "Wait. What did you say? Don't joke, Jinnan. It's not funny." She was freaking out.

"This is not a joke. I am serious." Mo Jinnan said while looking into her eyes. So that she could understand and never come in front of him ever again.

"But… Why? What happened? Did I do something wrong? Tell me. I will correct it." Song Tianxin asked bitterly. There was a glint of tears in her eyes, seeing that there were no emotions in Mo Jinnan's eyes while saying those hurtful words to her. She loved him and so did he.

"You can't. Your status and my status have a huge difference and this is a reason I am breaking up with you. We can't go forward with this relationship. It is better for both of us that we don't see each other anymore. All the best for your future." Mo Jinnan left after saying those parting words.

Song Tianxin was so shocked that she did not see when Mo Jinnan left. He had met her parents last week. Her parents liked him so much but he…

Was it the reason that he did not meet her after that?

A gush of tears started to roll down from her eyes, not in sadness but in anger to think that she had loved the wrong person.

After a few days.

Far away in the deserted dark forest, two people were walking in the direction which they only knew. A crunching sound could be heard as they stepped on the dry leaves. There was no light anywhere except for the glimmer of moonlight which was enough for them to walk forward. They were moving forward when they heard a crackling sound of firewood burning from the middle of the forest where a bunch of men was gathered around.

"Boss, she is here," Morris informed Markus who was lying on the rock, taking a small nap, but not so deep. His right hands covered his eyes.

But Markus did not bother to move upon hearing Morris' words and continued to lie silently.

Liu Ruolan and Sun Choi made their way in front of Markus. His other men stood up and surrounded them.

It would be a lie to say Liu Ruolan wasn't nervous. She could feel a sheet of sweat in her palms and her heart jumped when she heard Markus. "Failed to kill all of them."
