46 Chapter 46: I Will Protect You Forever

Spencer pecked on her forehead, affectionately. That, of course, didn't help soothe Kurt's anger.

He pointed at Spencer and bellowed, "You, get out of my sight right now! I don't want to see you again."

Everyone was more or less shocked by his thundering anger except Spencer. It didn't alter the calmness on his face at all. "No problem, but just to remind you, it's my house, and I own 55% of the company shares." He said emotionlessly.

Kurt's face turned rigid. He cursed his father, Spencer's grandfather. It's his fault. He spoiled him too much. He thought.

"I am your father!" He said sternly.

"So what?" Spencer shrugged his shoulders.

He walked away with Nathalia, still acting calm and indifferent. As soon as they were out of his father's sight, he strode to the car. Nathalia had hardly put the seatbelt on when he started the engine, and the car shot out of the gate into the quiet alley, then the busy road. The engine roared. People stared.

Nathalia felt her stomach twirl like a washing machine. Her face went pale. She felt sick. Spencer sat with his back straight, both hands resting on the steering wheel, his long slim fingers tapping on it now and then. His eyes seemed to glitter.

"Spencer, please...stop..." Nathalia couldn't stand it anymore.

The tires squealed, and the car stopped. Nathalia pushed the door open and vomited.

Asshole! What's wrong with him?

I'm not getting back in his car.

This is suicidal!

Nathalia thought angrily.

An arm grabbed her from behind, and a hand patted her on her back gently. Nathalia stomped at his feet. Huh. Huh. Huh. She was releasing the anger inside her.

Spencer was quick to react. He lifted her up. Her feet off the ground, Nathalia kicked while flying her arms about. She even tried to bite his hands. It wasn't very ladylike at all, but she couldn't care less, and Spencer actually found her adorable, like a grumpy kitten.

The weight in his heart had somehow disappeared, and he felt so much lighter. For the very first time, he made an apology. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

He had never ever apologized to anyone. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He had everyone to obey him. Yet, now, he apologized to her.

Spencer put Nathalia down. She turned around, "Huh." and she pouted. Her cheeks were still pink, having not cooled down yet.

He couldn't resist the temptation, and he kissed her, his tongue swiftly slipped through her lips and flirted passionately with hers.

His desire was flaming. He let it take control, sampling every second of ecstasy. He felt safe. He felt alive.

She was so breathless that she suddenly awoke and started to struggle; it startled Spencer. He let her go, his arms still around her waist. He looked like he had just awakened from a peculiar dream.

They stood there only a breath away from each other, eyes fixed on each other's, both still breathing heavily.

Nathalia's pink cheeks glow, like a juicy peach.

She threatened firmly, "Spencer Davidson, I'm warning you now! If you ever kiss me again, I, I, I, I will bite your tongue off!"

She stared at him, eyes wide open, yet her rosy cheeks betrayed her. She looked more loveable than angry.

Spencer was trying to calm his flaming desire still as he gazed at her lips. He encouraged flirtatiously, "Go on then. Come bite me."

He loved it. Every bit of it.

So shameless!

Nathalia covered her eyes with her hand helplessly. Can't do anything about him.

Luckily, there was no one around. No spectators.

"Spencer Davidson, please remember that it is only an agreement that we signed. It's not real. Please don't cross the line." Nathalia said, as seriously as she could.

He has no right to kiss me. He's taking advantage of me. Huh. Terrible.

Spencer winked and stroked her hair gently. "Well, who knows. It Was an agreement, but things changed and developed. Perhaps our relationship has changed, and it's all real. You know you can call me Honey sometimes, instead of Spencer, or even Spencer Davidson."

They were standing so close to each other that she could feel his breath, and his signature cologne made her confused.

She tried to push him away but failed as his arm held her waist tight. He moved his hand down her hair and onto her neck. The warmth of his palm on the back of her neck made her shiver, but she tried not to let her body betray her again. "I am Not interested in you." She said.

"Marry me, and I will protect you from any harm, anyone, including your heartless father, your merciless step-mother, your pretentious half-sister, and barbaric half-brother."

The moonlight fell on his hair, danced in his eyes. He looked so warm and loving. Nathalia gazed at him without realizing so. It felt like a warm had appeared in her heart, but she rejected it intentionally, such a warm yet uncertainly strange feeling. She looked away and muttered, hoping to change the subject "Where do you want to go for dinner? I will go with you."

Spencer knitted his brows and wondered, What's this for? Is she scared?

"Are you pitying me?" He asked.

Nathalia took a deep breath to calm down. "Do you need pity?" She questioned back.

Someone that can mock his father in front of others doesn't need pity, does he?

Can't he just let go of me? My heart's beating so fast, almost unbearable.

Spencer didn't like her cold tone and the look on her face that said, "Whatever." She made it sound like nothing had happened between them.

He wanted to take off her mask, so he pressed his face even closer and said gently, "Give me a kiss, and I will feel much better."

Nathalia sneered and gave him a smack instead. "Don't be ridiculous."

Spencer gave out a silent sigh. A strange creature. Not interested in me at all. How can that be?

Suddenly, Spencer looked into her eyes and said seriously, "Nathalia Carter, I will protect you forever, but if you ever betray me, I will strangle you to death."

Stern and determined, he vowed.

Nathalia was shocked and staring at him unbelievably.

The couple stood in the moonlight, his arm around her waist, each in their own thoughts. They looked so close and so distant.
