77 Chapter 77: She Doesn’t Pretend

"Come on, tell us." The guys hurried her. Nathalia smiled and replied slowly. "Well, it's nothing special. I will just treat him the way he treats me. If he has other girls, then I will just take his money and get myself some guys. Fair."

I love him, but I shall love myself too. Nathalia thought, feeling dignified.

To her, love should be fair, equal, and true.

It was an answer none of them had ever expected, and they all burst into laughter. What?! Seriously?

Spencer froze for a few seconds and couldn't believe what he heard. He stared at Nathalia, his jaw dropped.

"Hahaha." Steve couldn't stop laughing. He patted Spencer on his shoulder, sympathetically. Then he seemed to understand why Spencer liked Nathalia so much.

She doesn't pretend, fake, or lie. Her eyes are so clear and bright, yet at the same time, so gentle and sincere.

It was true. Love had nothing to do with fame or fortune. Love should be pure. You loved the person for who they were.

It was something that they had never had or encountered. Steve felt a bit envious and truly happy for Spencer.

Irritated, Spencer pulled Nathalia into his arms, squeezed her cheeks, and said, rather angrily, "Nathalia Carter, don't you even think about it! Never, you hear me?"

We aren't even married yet, and you are thinking about cheating on me? With my money? Huh. How dare you? Cheeky thing.

How Spencer reacted, gave the guys another shock. He was not the usual cold and nothing-could-affect-him Spencer. Seeing him shout and squeeze a girl was an absolutely new scene to them.

It looks like she's got him. She's not a usual girl. Perhaps that's how it works. To treat him the way he treats her. Hahaha.

Nathalia wasn't bothered by Spencer's reaction, and she let him squeeze her face without resistance.

Steve teased, "Hey, Spencer, it looks like she knows how to handle you. Be careful and don't get caught. Hahaha."

Spencer let go of Nathalia's cheeks finally and glared at Steve. "Shut up." The guys laughed louder. Spencer Davidson is jealous. Unbelievable.

Patrick raised his glass and said, "Cheers. For Spencer and Nathalia!"

"For Spencer and Nathalia!" Steve and James echoed.

Nathalia's cheeks had turned red. She waved her hands indifferently and said, "Childish. I know you guys. As long as you have money, it doesn't matter if you are ugly, or old, or arrogant, you can find girls. Am I right? Gentlemen?"

"What?" The guys almost spitted out their drinks, shocked.

"You are implying that we are ugly?" Steve retorted.

"Or old?" James followed.

"Arrogant?" Patrick, at last.

How dare she! Cheeky thing. She was talking nonsense.

The guys happened to be just over twenty-five years old and were tagged as old by Nathalia. They were speechless. Does the drunk tell the truth? Is this true? No, impossible! I'm not old! What's her logic?! Huh.

Spencer's face twitched as he found it extremely difficult to believe that the words were coming from Nathalia. He held up her cheeks only to see that she was smiling a silly tipsy smile, and her eyes looked drowsy. Is she drunk?

He picked up the glass and had a sniff. Alcohol! And he gasped. Who the hell put alcohol in it?!

Steve pointed at Spencer and asked Nathalia cheekily, "What about him, then?"

Nathalia looked at Spencer, blinked a couple of times as if she was trying to focus to see his face, "He's a little cat pretending to be a tiger..."

"Hahaha" The guys roared with laughter till they had to control themselves and stopped as it hurt their stomach, laughing so hard.

Spencer smiled helplessly, lifted Nathalia, sat her down on his thighs, and stroked her cheeks gently, "Nathalia, you are drunk." It looks like she can't drink. Just a glass, and she's drunk. Hmm. Better keep her away from alcohol.

Nathalia struggled to keep her eyes open, and she felt like her body was floating. She smiled brightly at Spencer, "I'm not drunk. What are you talking about? Now, remember this. If you ever cheat on me, I, I, I will bite off your penis, take all your money, and get myself some charming, handsome, and sexy guys. Awww, imagine that..." Her smile grew brighter as she talked.

The guys again roared with laughter. Steve was holding his stomach with both hands as if he could stop the pain that way. Who would have imagined this? Spencer being warned and threatened by a girl! Hahaha.

Spencer wasn't pleased with all. I know you are drunk, but that's harsh. He defended immediately, "Nathalia, if you ever cheat on me, I will, er… I will chop your hands off." He said a bit feebly.

Nathalia shook her head slowly and mumbled, "What if you cheat on me then?"

Spencer had never felt so awkward, especially in front of his friends, with them laughing loud. Who put alcohol in her drink? Which idiot? He glanced at his friends, looking irritated.

Then he looked at Nathalia's rosy cheeks, and somehow he said something that even shocked himself. "Well, you need to know how to keep me then." As soon as he said it, Steve, Patrick, and James burst out laughing again. Patrick slapped at the table a few times excitedly.

My God. What have I said?! Why did I say that? Cheeky girl, what have you done to me?

The next day when Nathalia woke up, she had a terrible headache and couldn't understand why.

"Here, drink it." A soothing voice next to her said gently. She opened her eyes and saw Spencer holding a glass of cold water for her.

She drained the glass within seconds and felt a bit better. "What happened to me?" She asked, confused, and curious.

Spencer took a deep breath, suppressed the anger in him, and stared at her with a stern face, "Stay away from alcohol, or you will regret."

Nathalia frowned, trying to recall what happened, but failed. "Alright. Why are you so angry? Huh." She replied a bit impatiently. Did I hurt someone or do something terrible? Huh, why is he mad at me?

Seeing her pouty lips, Spencer gave up and rubbed her head gently. "Breakfast Is ready. Get some food down your tummy, and you will feel better."
