78 Chapter 78: The Luckiest Girl

Spencer glanced at her many times, but she kept her eyes on her plate and paid no attention to him deliberately. Finally, seeing how she enjoyed her breakfast innocently, Spencer let out a sigh and asked softly, "Would you like some honey for the pancake?"

Phew. He is finally talking to me now. That means he's not angry anymore—all good. Nathalia thought, relieved. She turned to look at him with a smiley face, "Yes, please." The morning sun shone through the clean French windows, and light fell on the sweet young couple. One mischievous and pretty, the other loving and handsome.

After a tasty breakfast, Spencer took Nathalia to PerFIT, the best tailor shop in town. A girl greeted them warmly as they walked in, and soon she brought out a big box. Nathalia was a bit confused. What's going on?

Spencer tapped on her hand and said, "Try the engagement dress on. It should fit nicely."

A bit startled, Nathalia followed the girl to the fitting room. Spencer had been taking care of the engagement party, everything. Nathalia never mentioned it, and neither did he.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Nathalia was astounded by herself. The dress fit perfectly. It showed her slim waist, and the v-neck and low back design revealed her smooth skin. Sweet, sexy, and elegant. The simple yet striking silver crown with soft ivory pearls adorned her hair beautifully.

"It suits you," Spencer commented in a gentle voice, his eyes fixed on her, amazed by her beauty. Nathalia had not noticed when he came in. She's my beautiful princess. Spencer thought.

Nathalia seemed to freeze for a second, and she could hear her heart beating fast. She was too nervous to even turn around to look at him.

There was so much she wanted to say, but looking at him in the mirror, she only uttered a question, "Are we really getting engaged tomorrow?" Her heart was racing. She bit her lips and waited nervously for his answer.

Spencer felt her uncertainty, and he put his arms around her shoulders from behind her.

Sensitive. Courageous. Confident. She was a complicated and strange creature. She could be frank and bold about a relationship, willing to fall, fall into love, at the same time, she prepared herself to leave anytime, prepared to abandon to protect herself.

Did she have no confidence in him? Or too much confidence? How could she think that it was just a spontaneous decision for him? And she had never questioned or complained, but simply leave him to guide and decide.

What is she thinking? Silly girl.

Nathalia felt a sudden relief, but thoughts and doubts bombarded her still. "Spencer, you need to really think about it. I mean, I'm not an easy-going person. I have a bad temper. I'm rarely well-behaved, and I'm revengeful, also..."

Isn't she strange? Who talks about themselves like that? Silly girl. Spencer interrupted her and said, "Well, now that you know you have so many problems and I'm still willing to marry you, you should just grab the chance and stop thinking too much."

The nervous feeling had not vanished, and Nathalia turned around to look at Spencer, "I'm serious. There's one thing that I can never tolerate, which is cheating and lying. If you meet someone else, you have to tell me, and I will leave..."

Spencer stopped her by planting a kiss on her lips, followed by a gentle bite. Nathalia was startled and opened her eyes wide. "I haven't finished yet." She pushed him off her or tried to.

Spencer retorted angrily, "Is that how much you love me? Planning to retreat anytime? You won't even make an effort to keep me?" I have never met a girl like her. All the girls I had were fighting to keep me. And she said she would just leave. I just don't understand her. If she really loves me, shouldn't she do what she can to keep me?

Seeing his angry face somehow cheered Nathalia up. He cares. She thought, pleased. But instead of soothing his anger, she waved her forefinger and said playfully, "I never said I love you, Mr. Davidson, have I?" Her bright eyes sparkled cheerfully.

Spencer was speechless. Her words were like a cold shower on his flames of anger and frustration. Helplessly, he replied, "You definitely have the talent in irritating me."

Love's written on her face, in her eyes, and she still denies it.

Nathalia smiled happily, "Thank you for your compliment." Now Spencer was completely defeated. He wanted to slap her on her bum as a little punishment, yet at the same time, he wanted to kiss her. How can someone be so charmingly playful and annoyingly mischievous at the same time?

"Cheeky. I shall find a way to get revenge soon." Spencer said feebly.

"Oh. I'm so scared." Nathalia giggled. She loved seeing his helpless yet loving face. She felt loved, really loved.

All of a sudden, Spencer put his hands on her firm breasts, which were partially hidden under the v neck dress, and he kissed her passionately. His hands stroked them gently and slowly traveled down her waist and her bum. His tongue ventured through her lips to find hers. He felt like he was on fire. The desire to have her was so strong.

Ever since he decided to be with her, he had not met any other girls. Nathalia had her own room in the house, and Spencer had respected her. So far, there were only kisses and touching. For someone like Spencer, who was used to having girls easily and whenever he wanted, it had surely been a challenge. He wanted her so much.

Nathalia wanted to push him away at first, but his kisses and strokes had conquered her senses before she could think. She surrendered and embraced his tongue with hers, his body in her arms.

Outside the grand Ocean Point Resort parked various luxurious cars, LaFerrari, Lamborghini Porsche, you name it. Guests from the renowned and rich families and corporations, invited or not, had arrived to witness the most talked about party in town.

Clad in a formal black suit, the tall, handsome Spencer looked extremely charming as usual, yet today he seemed somehow warmer than normal. Steve, Patrick, and James stood near him by the gate to greet and welcome the guests. Everyone had put on their best outfit and looked their best.

Normally, Spencer couldn't care less to socialize or talk to people, but he was in a very good mood today and didn't mind. Most people said their usual congratulations and paid compliments, but a few were too curious not to ask about Nathalia, 'the luckiest girl.'
