119 Chapter 119: Who Dares To Hurt Her?

Anna looked down at Nathalia, who had fainted and wasn't sure how she felt. To the bodyguard, she said, "Take her away, far away, where I won't see her again but don't hurt her."

"Yes, Miss."

Nathalia was to meet Lisa Watson at her house to talk about The Trend. When Lisa noticed that Nathalia was coming late, she tried calling her a few times, but she couldn't reach her.

Lisa started to panic. Though Nathalia was young, she had a good sense of time and responsibility. It was very rare that she would be late without explaining. "This is not good. Something's happened to Nathalia." She spoke her mind out.

Sophie jumped up, panicking, "Could it be the Carter? Oh, mum, what should we do? Let's call the police."

Lisa rubbed her thumbs around her temples, trying to calm herself down and think. "Let's have a look at her university. She might have lost her phone or had an accident."

There was no point calling the police within 24 hours, but if something did happen, the first 24 hours was the most important.

Lisa and Sophie quickly took the lift downstairs and ran into Matt, who had just got back from work. Sophie's eyes lit up, and she rushed to Matt, "Matt, Nathalia disappeared!"

"Disappeared?!" Matt had just finished a case after working two days and nights without sleep. His head was aching, but as soon as he heard about Nathalia, his brain sobered up. He was very worried.

"We called her a few times and couldn't reach her. She should have been back long ago. We can't really call the police now...I'm so scared..." Tears ran down Sophie's cheeks as she spoke and thought of the terrible possible consequences.

"Matt, please, please help Nathalia. We can't have anything bad happen to her..." She's just a little girl. Oh, Nathalia.

Matt turned around and dashed towards the car park before Sophie finished speaking.

"Matt?" Sophie shouted. What does that mean? Won't he help?

Without turning around, Matt waved his arm and said, "Wait for me at Nathalia's flat. I will call you as soon as I have any news."

Lisa wasn't so certain. "Can we trust him?"

Sophie nodded. "Yes, I trust Matt. He will bring Nathalia back safe."

Matt asked everyone he could think of, making the maximum use of his networking. He had even asked his friends from the police to check, but to his disappointment, no news was found. Nathalia seemed to just disappear.

Time was slipping away. It was getting dark. Matt was in torture, thinking that such an innocent girl was suffering, crying for help, and he couldn't do anything.

His assistant could see the anger on his face. He was sweating, his heart racing, worried. "Mr. Miller, please don't worry too much. Everyone's helping and looking for Miss Carter now. I'm sure we will find her..." It's strange that Mr. Miller cares so much about the girl who's got so much rumor.

Matt rarely showed his emotions. It was the first time he was seen so furious, and it was just for a girl that he had contacted anyone who could possibly help.

What did it mean?

He dared not think about it. He couldn't. She was Spencer's fiancée.

Matt's face turned pale. He had felt fear, helplessness, and pain for the first time as if there was a fire burning inside him, and it was burning him.

He dared not think of the possibilities of the suffering Nathalia was going through. It hurt too much.

"If she's hurt, whoever did it will pay for it!" Matt glared into the distance and spoke his mind out angrily.

The assistant was taken aback. "Mr. Miller, why..." He's changed to a different person. I've never seen him like this. What the heck is happening?

It wasn't certain how it came to Matt's mind, but all of a sudden, he said, "Find out where Spencer Davidson is."

"Huh? Yes, sir."

At Top Bar

In a private room sat a few handsome, rich gentlemen. James had just returned from his trip abroad, and the guys were planning on having a good night drinking to welcome him back. However, it seemed to turn tonight more for Spencer than James.

Spencer was drinking directly from the bottle. Whiskey.

"Hey Spencer, take it easy." Tom reminded him. Is it really worth it? Just for a girl? "Get some food down your belly. You haven't eaten all day."

Spencer was feeling a bit tipsy. "I'm alright."

Lying down on the couch, Steve was trying to think of a solution, just like he always did. "Drinking is not fun without good companies of beauties." Women are just women. They come and go. What's everlasting love? What's lifetime soulmates? It's all just bullshits that exist only in books and films. Why can't Spencer understand? Well, compared to others, Nathalia Carter is just a little bit smarter, a bit prettier, a bit sweeter...hmm wait. She is good.

Tom clapped his hands in approval. "Great idea." This is too depressing. What are we doing here?

Before he could continue, the door was pushed open. Everyone jumped up. "Who the fuck..."

Matt rushed in furiously. Matt? How come? What the hell is he doing here? The guys were taken aback. Matt and Spencer would pretend to be strangers even if they bumped into each other.

Steve mocked, "Mr. Miller, we are not doing anything illegal. What brought you here?"

Matt ignored him and went straight to Spencer. He grabbed the bottle off Spencer's hand, smashed it onto the floor.

"Spencer Davidson! How can you be drinking at this time?" He yelled.

The guys were shocked again. This is not like the usual Matt Miller at all. What happened?

Spencer was about to throw a punch at Matt, "Fuck off!" when Matt returned in a cold voice, "Nathalia had been missing since 3 hours and 17 minutes ago."

It hit everyone like a bomb. Spencer's fist froze in the air. He stared at Matt uncertainly. "What? Bullshit!" Nathalia's fine. Who dares to hurt her?

For the very first time, Matt asked Spencer for help. "I've asked everyone I could to help and search, but till now, we had no news at all. The longer we wait, the worse...she..." A sharp pain struck his heart, and he couldn't say it.

Spencer was the last person he would ask, but he didn't have a choice. Nathalia's safety was what mattered the most.
