127 Chapter 127: All New And Beautiful

"Calculating?" Nathalia gave him a helpless smile. Yeah, it's true. What else can I do? I need to protect myself. Sometimes, she hated herself being so.

Spencer regretted it as soon as he said it. Spontaneously, he stood up, took Nathalia's hand, and headed to the door. Nathalia was still lost in her own negative thoughts, and reluctantly, she let him lead. "Where are you taking me to now?"

Why is he always like this? So dominating. Never ask me or even just tell me in advance. Nathalia thought frustratingly.

The beautiful blue sea stretched out endlessly—tranquil, gentle, like a sleeping beauty. The white sandy beach felt lovely under one's feet. However, Nathalia couldn't appreciate the beauty. Her face turned pale. "I don't like it here. Enjoy, and I will see you later." She said, trying to sound casual, and was about to leave.

"What are you scared of?" Spencer noticed that she was trying to hide her fear and was confusingly surprised.

Nathalia tried to defend herself, but couldn't think of anything to say. Spencer teased, "Scared of falling in love with me too easily?"

Looking at the sea, Nathalia felt like the world was tumbling down. She wanted to run away, far far away. As soon as Spencer let go of her hand, she turned around and ran. However, she had hardly moved a couple of steps when Spencer splashed water on her and laughed merrily. "Woohoo!" he exclaimed.

"Spencer Davidson! How dare you!" So childish and cheeky. Without hesitation, Nathalia scooped some water with her hands and splashed it on Spencer, but she missed it.

"Haha, you missed me. Oh, silly Nathalia, the sweetest girl I know..." Spencer even started singing. Annoyed, Nathalia ran towards Spencer and yelled, "I'm going to catch you!" Spencer sang even louder as he ran. The couple was soon laughing and running along the beach like two little kids, carefree.

This is my real Nathalia. Be it anger or joy, and she expresses it. Never bottle it up. Spencer thought, seeing her laugh like a kid again.

Suddenly, Nathalia lost balance and slipped, but Spencer just caught her on her waist with his arms, and the two fell onto the soft sand together.

Nathalia took the chance and slapped Spencer on his arm gently, "Got you!" all smiles. Then a sudden silence fell as the two lovers gazed at each other. All could be heard was each other's breathing. Nathalia felt her heart racing as Spencer leaned towards her, watching her beautiful face.

Time seemed to have stopped.

Just be there, lying there quietly, next to the man she loved. She felt peace.

Spencer gazed at Nathalia with love spilling out of his heart. Unconsciously, he pecked a kiss on her forehead.

Nathalia frowned and opened her eyes. Why can't he just be still for a bit?

"Spencer! Don't be cheeky." She pouted her lips.

Spencer held her hand tighter, smiled brightly. "What can you do about it?" So many times he had dreamed of her, and somehow she always seemed cold in his dreams. Such a scene was nothing that he even dared to hope for.

Nathalia tried to push him away from her, "Get off me now, or I will..." she sounded, or pretended to sound, a bit angry. Yet, Spencer wasn't upset by it at all; instead, he put on a rather serious tone and said, "Huh, Nathalia Carter, how can you treat a patient so cruelly?"

What? Speechless, Nathalia closed her eyes, let out a sigh. No, it can't go on like this. No more flirting.

"I've told you it's impossible. We can't be..." Before Nathalia could finish her words, Spencer planted his lips onto hers. He kissed her gently and passionately.

"You have the right to speak, and I have the right not to listen to you," Spencer said softly as his lips finally parted from hers.

You have the right not to listen?! What the hell does that mean? He's so self-centered! Nathalia thought, irritated. She was still taken aback by the sudden attack of his lips, and she gazed at him, bewildered.

He slowly looked down from her face to her chest and put his hand gently on her right breast, "I love your body. I love everything about you. Nathalia." He whispered to her ear. She blushed, and her heart was pounding.

"Spencer Davidson, let go of me." Her cheeks had turned rosy red. She started hitting Spencer aimlessly, trying to push him off her.

"I'm not scared. You are just a cute little puppy. You don't bite." Spencer teased. However, to his surprise, just then, helplessly, Nathalia bit his hand. He yelled, got off, and ran. Nathalia chased him all the way back to their hotel room.

With sand all over her body and clothes, Nathalia took a good long shower. When she came out of the bathroom, she was surprised to see a pile of clothes lying neatly on the bed, pajamas, underwear, dresses... anything she needed—all new and beautiful.

Unsure how she should feel about it, looking at the clothes, she sighed. She picked a red dress, put it on and it fit perfectly.

As she opened the bedroom door to the living room, she was again surprised. Candles dimly lit the room, and the table was laid, dinner was ready. A bunch of red roses was placed on the table by the empty seat that awaited Nathalia.

Spencer stood up from his seat, pulled out the other chair, and beckoned her to sit down, "Come." He said with a smile. His face looked warm and loving in the candlelight. Nathalia stood there, gazed at him for a while, and didn't know how to react.

Spencer beckoned her again. She obeyed. "Spencer..."

"Hush." Spencer put his forefinger gently on her lips. "You don't need to say anything. Let's just enjoy dinner."
