205 Chapter 205: What Changed Him?

Nathalia shook her head and replied cheekily, "Not really, but I would like to have it just so that someone else can't."

Huh! She's doing it on purpose. So annoying! Wendy glared at Nathalia.

Spencer stroked Nathalia's cheek affectionately as he replied, "Aren't you a cheeky one?" The couple gazed at each other, happily lost in love, with each other.

Wendy stared at them in disbelief, especially Spencer. What the hell is this? He was a thorough playboy and would change girlfriends every other day. What's changed him? This is unbelievable.

Steve watched quietly, his eyes falling on Nathalia now and then. She's grown prettier. She's still got the innocence of a little girl and has now gained the elegance of a little lady. She's a beauty indeed.

The manager was all smiles after selling one of the most expensive items in his shop. What a lucky day! He took the opportunity and took out another box. "This is THE most precious..."

Nathalia teased, "I thought you've just sold us THE most precious item here." Don't they always say the same thing?

The manager grinned, feeling a bit embarrassed, and quickly changed his wording. "Yes. Indeed. But this is a different one. I mean, it's the most precious jade you can ever find." He opened the box to show a beautiful piece of jade.

This time, Wendy stood aside quietly. She noticed the price and knew that Steve was not in the mood of pleasing her.

It is beautiful. Nathalia thought. She was about to buy it, after teasing the manager, when some girl suddenly interrupted, "I like it. I will take it."

Everyone turned to look at the girl that had just walked in. Another fight?

Nathalia frowned, "You again?" Does she have to fight with me every time? Ridiculous.

Amy Berry smiled triumphantly at Nathalia, then turned to the manager, "I will take it. Can I pay by card, please?"

The manager froze for a second, totally at a loss. "Err...Mr. Spencer Davidson, what..." What's happening today? Why is everyone going against Nathalia Carter or Spencer Davidson? But the thing is, where has the Berrys got such confidence from?

Spencer didn't even take a look at Amy, nor the manager, as if they didn't exist. Instead, he asked Nathalia gently, "Nathalia, do you like it?" He acquired a convincing authority automatically.

The triumphant smile on Amy's face turned awkward. She grabbed her bag, nervously.

Nathalia looked at Spencer with her usual smiley eyes, "I do." As usual, the couple acted like there were only two of them in the whole world, totally oblivious of their surroundings and the spectators.

Amy's older sister, Kelly, resented the sight of them being so close. She glared at the manager and shouted, "Why? What do you mean? Don't you look down upon us!"

The manager found himself in an awkward position. He knitted his brows as he pondered what to do. Neither of the Berry sisters was easy to please, one was extremely spoiled and the other bossy.

At the same time, he could never afford to displease Spencer. What can I do? Shit.

He said cautiously, "Miss Amy and Kelly Berry, please understand that Mr. Spencer Davidson came here first. Would you please..."

Kelly had her eyes fixed on Spencer and Nathalia, wearing a pout and a frown. She seemed to be hesitating if she should interrupt them or if she could tolerate it.

Spencer and Nathalia were talking to each other quietly as if they were in their own world, uninterrupted.

Amy glanced at Spencer, then at her sister, and she decided to fight for it. Huh! I have to get it, at least for my sister's sake. "But he didn't say he wanted it! I said it first!" She snapped angrily, interrupting the manager.

Even Wendy found her arrogance disdainful, thinking, Look at her insolent face! Huh! just a spoiled rich girl.

On hearing so, Nathalia came up with another cheeky idea. She said politely, "Hmm. I really like it. What should we do then?"

Spencer was about to reply, but he noticed Nathalia's wink as a hint and remained quiet. She's playful. Let's see what's coming. Ha.

Now Amy was excited. She waved her hand and declared, "I will pay double the price."

Nathalia gazed at the jade as if she really wanted it. She let everyone wait for a bit before she said, "I will pay triple then."

It was a clever move, and Amy fell for it straight away, thinking now she had to get it. It was all about-face. "I will pay ten times the price! I'm getting it!" She announced.

Kelly could sense that it was going a bit tricky, but it was too late to stop her sister now, so instead, she supported, despite how reluctant she felt, "Right. We will pay ten times. How much can you pay, Nathalia Carter?"

Nathalia looked at the Berry sisters like they were two idiots and said to the manager cheerfully, "ten times of the original price sounds great, don't you think? Why don't you take half of the money and I will take the other half? Good deal?"

"What?!" Everyone was shocked, except the manager, who was all smiles.

"Very good." He agreed instantly. Five times the price! My God. It is my lucky day today.

"I beg your pardon?!" Amy stared at Nathalia in disbelief.

Spencer smiled understandingly. That's a nice move. Cheeky one. She's a grown starter.

Nathalia threw a disdainful look at Amy and said plainly, "Take it or leave it. As simple as that. If you can't afford it, just leave it."

If I don't buy it, I will be so embarrassed, but if I do, I will have to pay so much! Amy thought angrily.

"You are so ridiculous! Why? Is it because your family is too poor now and you are so desperate? Well, if so, just say it, and I will pity you and give you some money." Amy now recalled how tricky Nathalia was, though she had won slightly last time, this time, she had underestimated her.

Kelly was bursting with anger. Cunning bitch! Why would Spencer fall for someone like her?!

Nathalia rested her head sideways on Spencer's shoulder, a bright smile on her face. "Money is one of the things that I don't lack, but the more, the better, isn't it? Anyway, if you don't want it, we will take it. Spencer, can you pay, please?" She said matter-of-factly.

Spencer replied with a smile, "With pleasure, my princess." and took out a credit card obediently.

Kelly couldn't take it anymore. Jealousy was killing her. "Spencer, look at her! Vain and arrogant! Everything's just about money to her! What a disgrace!" She barked.
