206 Chapter 206: It’s For Real

Spencer glanced around at the expecting spectators, with an air of authority and a smile of triumph, and replied, "My Nathalia loves money, and she has the right to. It's none of your business. Don't waste our time. Take it or leave it."

It wasn't a reaction the spectators expected at all. Everyone gasped. Wow, I've never heard him speak like that.

Kelly was so shocked and upset that tears ran down her cheeks. "Spencer, you have changed. You've become as vain and shallow as this girl. She must have bewitched you. Your reputation will be ruined if you go on like this..."

A sneer appeared on Spencer's face, a sneer of disdain and mockery. "What do you care about my reputation? Who do you think you are to me? Are you buying it or not?" Nathalia is my princess. Who is she to insult my Nathalia like that?! Ridiculous.

Enraged, Kelly marched to the manager, took the jade, and snapped, "I'm buying it!"

Now Amy gasped, feeling helpless. She wanted to interfere but dared not. Ten times the original price! I don't even know if we have enough money to pay with all our bank cards.

The manager looked at Spencer as if to ask for approval. Spencer nodded. The two sisters had to use all their bank cards to pay, and it was just enough.

When the manager asked Nathalia for her bank account to transfer half of the money, Nathalia gave him one and said, "This is a charity account for children's education."

Aha. What a brilliant move! Using others' money for charity. Ha. I guess only Nathalia Carter is capable of doing that. The crowd thought, amazed.

"Spencer, one day, you will realize how wrong you have been, and you will regret," Kelly said with tears still in her eyes. She looked as angry as disappointed.

However, Spencer acted like he didn't hear a word. Instead, he had his eyes on a pair of rings. "Do you like these two rings?" He asked Nathalia gently, pointed to the rings.

Nathalia didn't reply, but she couldn't keep her eyes off them. The design of the rings was simple but delicate, studded with a few small diamonds, sparkling and eye-catching. But it's a pair...She hesitated.

The indecisiveness on Nathalia's face amused Spencer. He seemed to be able to read her thoughts.

He picked up the smaller one, took Nathalia's left hand and gently, put the ring on her ring finger.

Nathalia's heart skipped a beat. "Spencer..." she exclaimed quietly.

Another exclamation from the crowd. Everyone looked at each other as if to seek confirmation that what they saw was real, and they all understood what the gesture meant.

It's for real! Is it real?! Really? They are really getting married?! Surprises and questions bombarded the spectators' minds.

Tears of joy filled Nathalia's eyes as she recalled the memories between the two of them, the long journey they had taken to come to this point.

Cheekily, she said with a pout, "Is this how you propose to me? It's not very formal, is it? I expect something better." Her voice was too gentle to make it sound like a refusal.

The nervous feeling in Spencer suddenly escaped from him. He cupped Nathalia's hands in his and replied confidently, "We've made love, and now we have to make it official."

"My god!"

"Dear me!" The crowds exclaimed.

Nathalia's cheeks turned rosy red instantly. "Spencer! You don't have to tell everyone." Doesn't he feel embarrassed at all? With so many people watching and listening! Ahhh. So embarrassing.

Spencer laughed and embraced Nathalia in his arms. "Hahaha, now everyone knows, and you can't run away from me anymore. I'm going to keep you to myself forever! And I am yours." His laugh was so pure, like a kid's laugh. He was happy.

He had planned to stay a bachelor all his life before he met Nathalia. Life just doesn't have the same plan as we do, does it? He thought. If I had not met Nathalia, I would not have known what love truly is and how beautiful it is.

Leaning in his arms, Nathalia heard his laugh and felt his heartbeat. She was tearful. We didn't meet in our last life. I wonder why. But here we are. I'm so grateful.

The crowd, especially the female spectators, either stared at Nathalia jealously or gazed at her enviously. Why is she so lucky to have Spencer's love?! Where has she earned it from? What did she do?

Kelly was heart-broken to see them so in love. "Spencer, are you serious? What's about her? What's about her? Why?" Kelly had loved Spencer since long ago. She had devoted so much of her time to him, done all she could to be close to him, to please him, but all her hard work was in vain.

He has not even known this girl for long, and he's spoiling her like she's a real princess! Why? What's about her that's better than me? Kelly thought angrily.

Amy was angry as well as jealous, wondering how the hell did she manage to seduce men?! Matt seems to have feelings for her, and Spencer, the famous playboy, has fallen for her completely! I just don't understand. No! I don't allow them to be together!

"Spencer, you know that Nathalia has a terrible reputation and what her family is like. She will only bring shame to your family." The two sisters worked very well together in slagging off Nathalia.

However, Nathalia and Spencer simply took no notice of them. Spencer gazed at Nathalia affectionately and handed his left hand out. "Nathalia, I'm still waiting for my ring." He said softly, almost sounding like pleading.

Nathalia's heart was beating fast, still finding it too overwhelming to take in. On hearing so, she couldn't help giggling. "Impatient as always."

She picked up the other ring with hesitation. A lot was going on in her mind. Two opposing forces were pulling her, stopping her from making a decision. Spencer waited quietly, watching Nathalia as if he could read her mind.

The two sisters kept yelling words of disgrace at Nathalia but were completely ignored. Everyone had their attention on the couple.

Steve leaned on the wall, hands in the pockets. He said, half-jokingly and half-seriously, "You are still very young, Nathalia Carter. There all many other great men you haven't met yet. There's no need to hurry and get yourself settled with Spencer. There are probably better choices in the future."

Spencer glared at Steve. "Shut up, or you are not invited to our wedding. Well, you will still have to send wedding presents, though." Steve made a face at him as a response.

"Hahaha," Nathalia couldn't help giggling at the sight of them. "Why not? I think he will be a great best man. He can entertain our guests."
