259 Chapter 259: Just As Expected

Amy cut in again, jealously, "That's so rude of her, Mr. Davidson. She doesn't show you respect at all." People had seemed to grow used to Amy's interruptions, and no one really paid her much attention.

Curt said with a smile. "She has her own interpretation. It's alright."

Surely Amy understood what Curt meant. He's defending Nathalia all the time. She decided not to proceed wisely. Then she thought of something and asked excitedly, "Will I also get presents when Matt and I get married?"

Curt lifted his eyebrows and replied indifferently, "Yes."

Delighted, Amy exclaimed, "Matt, let's go get registered tomorrow!" Wedding presents that are worth a few billions! My god!

"You know I'm swamped nowadays." Matt refused coldly.

"It will just take an hour or so." Amy persuaded impatiently, thinking about the presents she would get. It's probably just a tiny part of all Davidson's assets, but it will last me my whole life. Even though our family has a fortune, but I might not even get ten million in total at the end. Well, I will get some shares too, but that's not cash.

Matt frowned and looked displeased. "I don't have time." He said clearly.

"Matt!" Amy snapped, enraged. Why is he so stupid? We can't let Spencer and his wife take everything. Can't he see that his father likes Nathalia a lot?

Amy thought herself clever, yet everyone could tell what she was plotting.

Matt was annoyed and decided to ignore her. He turned to Nathalia and asked gently, "How's Sophie? I have been very busy and haven't seen her for a while, not even a phone call..."

This seemed to be the only topic he could talk to Nathalia about now. Nathalia wasn't happy with the question, thinking you are going to marry someone else now. Why do you care about Sophie? However, she replied politely, "She's fine..."

"Who's Sophie?!" Amy snapped, "Matt, are you seeing someone else?!" She was almost yelling furiously.

"Enough, Amy. Don't be ridiculous." Matt said solemnly.

Amy wouldn't give up so easily, though. She turned to Nathalia instead, "Nathalia, who's this, Sophie? Huh? Who is she? Is there something between Matt and this girl?"

Spencer found it ridiculous. He took a look at his watch, noticed the time, and said, "We shall go. Shall we, babe?" Nathalia nodded. "Sure. Oh, l saw a bakery nearby on the way here. Let's have a look and get something for mum."

"Aren't you a sweet one?!" Spencer pecked a kiss on her forehead. They said goodbye to Curt and left.

"Hey, you haven't answered my question yet!" Amy yelled after them, who paid her no attention at all.

The moon was up, and the stars were out. Night had approached when they got home.

Spencer sat her down and assured her that everything was good. Nathalia sat next to Mrs. Davidson and handed her the file. "Here, the wedding presents. Should I accept it or not?" She said casually.

Mrs. Davidson scanned the paper quickly and said, "Of course you should. It's better than leaving it to someone else."

Nathalia nodded, "Yes, mum." She took out a little paper bag and gave it to Mrs. Davidson with a happy grin. "Here's for you."

Mrs. Davidson couldn't help smiling, seeing her grin and opened the bag. It was her favorite chocolate muffins.

"Aww. You are a darling!" Mrs. Davidson exclaimed delightedly and quickly picked one out. "Hmmm." She took a big bite. "I love it."

Spencer and Nathalia exchanged a happy smile. "I bet you didn't have dinner, did you? You must have been worrying about us." Nathalia said gently.

Mrs. Davidson hugged Nathalia lovingly. It was true. She had been worrying, wondering what was going on, and waiting impatiently for their return.

"We have got sandwiches too. There are a ham sandwich, a BLT, and a tuna sandwich." Nathalia said happily.

"Can I have the BLT please?" Spencer grinned. They didn't really eat much earlier at dinner either. It was too upsetting.

Now that he was home with the two women he loved, his appetite was back.

"Of course, my charming husband." Nathalia passed him the BLT happily. The three sat and enjoyed their late dinner. It tastes so much better than the fancy dinner earlier. Spencer thought.

Then, all of a sudden, Mrs. Davidson exclaimed, "So, he's decided?! He's giving one-third of the family property to that boy?!"

Spencer regretted telling his mother about it, though he knew she would find out sooner or later anyway, and she would probably be more upset if she found out from someone else.

"It's ok, mum. I don't care. Really. It's not a big deal." Spencer said calmly, hoping to comfort her. Deep down, he was very upset and disappointed. He felt unjust and helpless.

"But I care. Who's that boy? He's just a bastard. Curt is such an asshole. That's so unfair to you." Mrs. Davidson said angrily, tears in her eyes.

It gave Nathalia a fright to see Mrs. Davidson so angry. "Mum, Mum. It's ok. Don't get angry, please." She hugged her and stroked her back, trying to calm her down.

Nathalia herself felt really unjust for Spencer and Mrs. Davidson as well, yet she had to remain calm and comfort them.

It was an insult, a betrayal. He was hurting them mercilessly. It was completely understandable that Mrs. Davidson would be so mad. Anyone with dignity would.

Nathalia couldn't imagine how she would react if she were in Mrs. Davidson's position. She would perhaps break down.

Mrs. Davidson was in tears. She exclaimed emotionally, "No. No. I do not allow this to happen. This is utterly unfair to you, Spencer."

Spencer wished he had not told her. "Mum. It's ok, really. Listen, as long as I have you and Nathalia with me, I'm happy."
