275 Chapter 275: Try This

The image of her lying there unconscious with her head gushing blood was the most frightening to Nathalia. Thank God. I'm so happy, mum is ok.

Aunt Emma sneered and said, "Your daughter-in-law was too proud to stay here. Very unwelcoming. She couldn't stand being in the room with us and walked out."

"Aunt Emma, that's not true." Spencer interrupted instantly, wondering why aunt Emma was making things difficult.

Nathalia was furious. She lifted her head up and said righteously, "The truth is they were very rude to me and threw me out!" Huh! Does she think that I will just tolerate her?! I don't care who you are, if you irritate me, then I will treat you how you treat me, or even worse.

Anna had seen what Nathalia was like, but still, she was rather shocked to hear how Nathalia retorted. She said it so confidently that she sounded convincing.

Aunt Emma was surprised as well. This girl doesn't give in at all.

Mrs. Davidson believed Nathalia and grew angry. She glared at the other three people in the room and questioned, "Who did it? Spencer? Did you throw Nathalia out? Huh?"

Strangely, Mrs. Davidson didn't seem to notice others except Spencer and Nathalia, especially her older sister. She seemed to ignore Emma completely.

Spencer didn't know what to do for a second as it happened so suddenly. "Mum. I... Nathalia, honey, I'm sorry. It was my fault."

Nathalia pouted her lips at him. Huh, it needs more than just an apology.

Then she turned to Mrs. Davidson and asked gently, "Mum. How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright. Just tired and a bit weak."

"Here are some flowers from Mrs. Watson. She also made some Thai green curry. It's delicious! Would you like to share some with me?" Nathalia said with a smile.

"Lovely flowers. She's very kind." Mrs. Davidson smiled as she accepted the flowers. Though she didn't really feel like eating much, seeing how thoughtful Nathalia was, she agreed. "I might not eat much, but I would love to try some."

Spencer noticed that his mother seemed to be closer to Nathalia than usual. The way she looked at Nathalia seemed to be more gentle and loving. He wondered if something else had happened that day.

Nathalia ignored the rest of the people, but the flowers up, set the table while speaking gently to Mrs. Davidson, saying how happy she was to see her awake, how pretty the flowers were, and that she was glad to see her eating.

Others were rather at a loss. Not knowing what to do, they just watched quietly.

She had a small spoonful, then another, and gradually felt better, and her appetite coming back. Nathalia fed her gently and lovingly.

Spencer watched Nathalia and couldn't help noticing how beautiful she looked. He felt as if something had touched his heart tenderly, and immense love grew inside him towards Nathalia.

Meanwhile, Anna was watching Spencer watching Nathalia. Tears filled her eyes as jealousy filled her heart.

Aunt Emma watched quietly, knitted her brows, and wondered how she was supposed to understand the scene.

"Do you like it?" Nathalia asked.

"I do. It's very tasty." Mrs. Davidson nodded happily. She seemed to have gained some strength and sounded more cheerful.

Nathalia felt much more relieved. "I'm glad you are eating and getting better. Mum, I've thought we should travel together when you get well. What do you think? We can even travel around the world if you'd like." Her smile was so sweet and so warm, like the sun on a cold winter day.

Mrs. Davidson took a look at her son, rather surprised. Spencer smiled at her with a bit of uncertainty.

"I think it's wonderful." She looked at Nathalia lovingly.

Everyone could tell how much Mrs. Davidson loved and cared for Nathalia, even more than her own son.

Aunt Emma couldn't take it anymore and decided to interfere. "Susan. You still sound rather weak. You'd better not get too excited..."

On hearing so, Nathalia lifted her eyebrows. Why is she difficult? What's with her?

Finally, Mrs. Davidson looked at aunt Emma, and very sternly, she pointed to the door and shouted, "Get out."

Her sudden outburst startled Nathalia, and she sat straight up. Spencer patted her back gently as he whispered to her, "It's alright, babe. Don't worry."

Nathalia wasn't worried, but a bit shocked. She felt calmed by Spencer's gentleness.

Aunt Emma's cheeks went red. She smiled a bit awkwardly and said, "You haven't changed, have you? The same old stubborn Susan, my little sister. What am I going to do with you?"

"Get out." Mrs. Davidson said again. She looked at aunt Emma with disgust. Spencer tried to calm her down and spoke for aunt Emma, but Mrs. Davidson wouldn't have it.

Embarrassed, aunt Emma said goodbye to Spencer and left. Anna didn't want to leave, but Spencer got the bodyguards to escort her out.

Nathalia watched them leave and wondered what happened between Mrs. Davidson and her sister.

It was a rather luxurious room Mrs. Davidson was staying in. There was a private bathroom and a small kitchen.

After Mrs. Davidson had eaten, Nathalia cleaned up the table and went into the kitchen. Mrs. Davidson winked at Spencer and suggested he follow Nathalia in. Silly boy, doesn't he know that his wife's angry with him?

Spencer blushed and went following Nathalia into the kitchen.

Nathalia was washing the dishes quietly when Spencer hugged her from behind. "Babe." He whispered into her ear.

Nathalia pouted her lips and said, "What is it?"

"Nothing, I just want to hug you." He gave her a little squeeze, and she squeaked.

He felt so grateful that Nathalia was looking after his mother so thoughtfully. He had thought that Nathalia would be too proud to do anything like doing the dishes, let alone taking care of someone; however, she had impressed him more than once.

"Please don't be mad at me. Aunt Emma didn't mean to be rude either. She's very proud and even a bit antisocial. You won't take it to heart, will you?"

Nathalia had set up her mind. Huh, mum is on my side. "She doesn't like me, so I don't like her either." She said plainly.

The innocence, in her words, made Spencer giggle. She's like an innocent child sometimes. Hahaha. My lovely Nathalia. But he said sincerely, "When you get to know each other better, she will like you, and you will like her."

Nathalia was rather surprised to hear so. Spencer rarely showed his approval for someone, but he seemed close to aunt Emma. "I can tell that you care for aunt Emma."
