331 Chapter 331: You Can’t Break Our Agreemen

Curt had never seen Sue react so angrily. His face went pale, and subconsciously, he stepped away from her. "Sue, please, calm down. I can explain..."

All of a sudden, Sue fainted and collapsed into Spencer's arms. "Mum, mum? Wake up, mum!" Spencer was so shocked and terribly worried that he was at a loss.

"Take her to the hospital now!" Nathalia said anxiously. Immediately, Spencer carried his mother and ran downhill to the car. Nathalia followed behind, running as fast as she could to catch up.

Curt didn't follow. He stood there, watching with a worried look. When they were out of sight, he suddenly turned away and glared at Emma. "Are you pleased now? Huh? What good does it do to you?" He regretted having to get involved with Emma from the very beginning. She was like a leech that would stick to you and suck your blood till it dried up.

Emma glared back at him and retorted angrily, "If I can't get what I want, no one else can get it. If I'm not happy, then no one can be happy. You owe me this!" She looked frighteningly hysterical.

Curt couldn't help regretting the mistake he made when he was young. Calmly, he replied, "No, I don't owe you anything. It's Sue that I owe a lot to because she's my wife."I shouldn't have played around women like a fool; I shouldn't have hurt my wife; I shouldn't have got involved with Emma, an unreasonable, evil woman. It's all too late!

Curt's reply hit her. It hit her hard. She shouted, with tears in her eyes, "Curt Davidson, you are merciless!" He's the cruelest man. Whatever I've done for him, he was never touched. I've sacrificed so much for him, but what have I got in return?! How could he just abandon me like that?!

Now, finally, she had found a chance for revenge, after twenty years! She thought and started laughing out loud. "Hahaha, great!"

Curt realized that Emma had changed. Her heart had grown twisted. I was such a fool. I fell for a woman like her just for their look and body, just for temporary fun!

He thought about his wife, who had fainted, his worried son, and his daughter-in-law, who must be terribly hurt. It made him angry. "You know what, Emma, this is nothing! Wait and see. You will get your punishment. I will make sure you pay for this!" he said disdainfully.

Emma knew Curt well enough to know that Curt meant what he said. It worried her. "Curt Davidson, what are you going to do? Don't you forget our agreement!"

A sneer appeared on Curt's face. "Huh. You think you can threaten me with a piece of paper? Agreement. Hahaha. When have you become so naïve?"

What was to happen this time?

Terrified, Emma muttered, "No, you can't break our agreement, you can't."

Curt looked at her with contempt and said indifferently, "Will you still have time to cause trouble when you lose everything you have now? I'm looking forward to seeing you struggle just to survive."

She had power and money, and that was why she had time to ruin others' life. When she lost all that she had, when she had nothing to depend on when she had to fight to live, would she still have time for games and traps like this?

Curt turned around and left without another word. Emma was shocked and terrified. She wanted to run after him but was stopped by his bodyguards. She collapsed onto the ground, watching him walk away, her face worryingly pale.

Spencer and Nathalia waited anxiously outside the emergency room, both pacing up and down the corridor. When the doctor finally came out, they rushed to him straightaway. "Mrs. Davidson is fine now. She has calmed down. She can't be excited again, though. With her medical history, I would suggest that you help her remain calm as much as you can."

She wasn't physically sick, but mentally, emotionally.

"Is it very bad? I mean her mental state?" Spencer asked worriedly. He felt helpless and prayed that it hadn't affected his mother too much. He couldn't bear the thought of her losing her memories again.

The doctor heaved a sigh and nodded. "It can be. You understand that she's very sensitive to her surroundings and the things that happen to her. When encountering traumas, she might choose to close herself up and forget things that she doesn't want to remember..."

"Tell me what to do," Spencer said impatiently. He had seen it happen to his mother, and of course, he understood what the doctor meant. It was too painful for him to even think of the possibility of its repetition.

"Whatever she wants, let her have it if you can. Don't go against her. Don't annoy her. Keep her calm. That's all you can do." The doctor put a hand on Spencer's shoulder as he heaved another sigh. Doctors could not cure everything.

Nathalia listened quietly with a worried heart, standing next to Spencer. Why? Why again? Every time you think that life is wonderful when you are grateful and feel happy, something just comes up. Bang. Just right in front of you, with no warnings.

Spencer was upset, but seeing the frown and worry on Nathalia's face, he cheered himself up and comforted her, "Babe, don't frown. It will be fine. Come, let's go and see mum. We have persuaded her once, and surely we can persuade her again, right?" He said as he gently stroked her brows to sweep away the frown. He understood that the two most important women to him both needed his support now.

Feeling encouraged, Nathalia pouted her lips and nodded with determination. "Yes. We will."

When they came in, Mrs. Davidson was lying on her side, looking out of the window, her eyes glazed as if she was trying to understand something.

Nathalia approached gently, "Mum, how are you feeling?"

On hearing Nathalia's voice, Mrs. Davidson suddenly sat up and turned to glare at Nathalia. "Get out!" There were contempt and resentment in her look, in her tone.

Startled and hurt, Nathalia stepped back. Tears filled her eyes. The love she had for me just disappeared like that.

Spencer felt hurt for Nathalia. "Mum, you can't do that, do Nathalia. It's unfair..." This isn't Nathalia's fault. It's with our parents. Why do we have to pay for it? Nathalia lost her mother when she was little. She hardly has any memories of her. Why does she have to suffer for whatever happened between our parents?

Enraged, Mrs. Davidson's face turned red. She beat the blanket frantically and shouted, "Unfair?! Huh? Is it fair to me?" Is it my fault? My husband's heart belongs to another woman, and am I to lose my son to this girl?!
