348 Chapter 348: Don’t You Try To Run Away

She struggled to keep her eyes steady upon him through the tears brimming in them. "Ok. Come home safe soon. I love you." She tried to sound as casual as she could.

Oh, I hate this! I hate saying goodbye. If there's next time, I won't come to see him off again. It's torturing. She thought and lowered her head in dismay.

How she wanted to ask him not to leave, but she knew she had to be strong. She was supposed to support him and not to worry him.

Spencer held her chin up and kissed her on her lips. She stood on her toes and closed her eyes to absorb every bit of sweetness and love in the affectionate and lingering kiss of goodbye.

Some passers-by couldn't help stopping to take a look enviously.

He finally let go of her hand, and one more time, he said to her sincerely, "I love you, babe."

"I love you, too. See you soon." Nathalia blew a kiss at him and waved goodbye as he went through the boarding gate.

He blew a kiss back to her and turned to leave. Tears streamed down her face. She stood there, feeling lost and empty. It's hard not to see him just one day. Seven days! I'm going to miss him terribly.

The bodyguards looked at each other, realizing that their mistress had been standing there for a good while after Spencer had left, and nodded in agreement. One of them suggested politely, "Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, shall we take you home?" Even they felt upset for the young couple madly in love.

Just then, Nathalia's phone rang. She saw the name on the screen and frowned. "Hello?"

"Nathalia, I hope you haven't forgotten that we have a meeting at one o'clock," Ben said with a sarcastic tone. It's almost one now, and she's nowhere to be seen.

Startled, Nathalia opened her eyes wide and let out a silent gasp. I have completely forgotten about it! Shit. But she replied calmly, "I will be there very soon."

"To the company." She hung up and said to the bodyguards.

Walking out of the airport, Nathalia felt her heart heavy. I miss him already. Seven days, 168 hours, 10080 minutes. She heaved a sigh and went into the car.

Sitting in the car, looking out of the window, she was quiet, but her mind was not. I should have asked him to stay. No. I shouldn't. When have I become so weak? I need to be independent like my old self. But I miss him. She was stuck in the battle of her thoughts. Come on, cheer up, Nathalia!

The driver took a look at her from the mirror and felt bad for her. She looks so upset.

Bang!

The car stopped and shook. Nathalia clenched the door handle tight subconsciously, her face pale. "What happened?"

The driver said apologetically, "Sorry, Mrs. Nathalia Davidson. I hit the car ahead."I only looked at the mirror for a second! Damn! He cursed to himself.

The driver of the victim's car got off the car and put his middle finger up at Nathalia's car. He was obviously angry and arrogant.

Nathalia's driver thought it was his fault, after all, so he got off the car and apologized politely. He could tell by the car that the owner was probably someone wealthy and powerful, and he didn't want to cause more trouble for his mistress.

Nathalia called 911 and the insurance company straight away, then she looked out from the window to check. Her driver was apologizing, but the other driver was still cursing and swearing furiously. She had a look at the time. I'm in a hurry to get to the meeting.

She noticed that the windows of the car ahead were all shut and was not sure if anyone was in it. She said to one of the bodyguards, "See what they want. If it's not too outrageous, let them have it."

After the bodyguard sent the message, the driver suddenly yelled angrily, "Damn your money! You think we lack money?!" He was so loud that even Nathalia could hear him in the car clearly. She frowned and said calmly, "If they don't want money, let's go then."

They had to leave the car there before the police arrived. So she got out of the car and got the bodyguards to get a taxi.

Seeing that they were going to leave, the driver came after them, glared at Nathalia, and pointed the finger at her, "Don't you try to run away!"

Now Nathalia was annoyed. Be civil. There's no need to be rude. No one wants an accident. And I'm not running away!

When she was angry, she showed it. "If you had not stopped abruptly, we would not have hit you. It's not all our fault!" She said confidently and stared at him steadily. It was true that it happened too suddenly. There wasn't any indication.

The driver was taken aback by Nathalia's unexpected protest. He stammered for a second before he found his tongue again, "You, you hit us! And you are saying we're in the wrong?!"

Nathalia looked at him coldly and thought it was just a waste of time. She turned to the bodyguards. "Give him my name card and ask him to come to me if there's any problem."

The bodyguards nodded immediately, "Yes." They had learned that if their mistress was angry, it was serious.

The driver took the card, had a look, but wouldn't let them go. "Wait. What if you deny later on?"

Nathalia rolled her eyes speechlessly. Even the bodyguards were annoyed. Our mistress is Mrs. Nathalia Davidson! When has the Davidsons ever been irresponsible?

"Nonsense. Our mistress keeps her word."

The driver hesitated. "Well, the richer, the stingier. I can't just let you ran away."
