353 Chapter 353: Will Do

Her heart was racing still, awed by his charm.

Ruth Berry grabbed her daughter's hand tight and said, "Listen to mum. The most important thing is to get revenge for Amy!" Her eyes were sparkling as if she had just come back to life reborn.

"Alright, I will sacrifice for Amy." She said in a compromising tone, pretending to be selfless as if it was a tough decision for her.

Pleased, Ruth Berry encouraged, "I know you love your sister. When we succeed in revenging for Amy, you will get the share of Amy's inheritance."

On hearing so, Kelly's face lit up, but she defended pretentiously, "Why? I'm not doing it for money. I'm doing it because I love Amy."

The mother and daughter went to a café and discussed in a hushed whisper, both feeling confident as if Kelly was meant to marry into the Morgans and they would have the power to do anything they wanted, including defeating Nathalia. God knows where they got the confidence from.

Nathalia walked about the department store and couldn't find the present she wanted, though she bought bags of other stuff, food, clothes, shoes and things that she thought Mrs. Davidson would like.

She rang the bell for a good while and Zoe, looking a bit awkward, finally opened the door for her. Zoe was the maid that Mrs. Davidson trusted the most, who had worked for her for almost twenty years.

Nathalia went in, looked around the house, and heaved a silent sigh. It's only been a month, yet it feels like I've been away for years. This is my home, where I've spent the most beautiful time, but it seems so strange to me.

Zoe went upstairs and soon returned with a sullen face. "Oh, Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, she won't see you. She, err..."

It was as Nathalia had expected, but she couldn't help feeling disappointed still. Her heart sank.

Pointing at the bags of stuff she had shopped, she said, "These are for mum. Please make sure that she eats well and rests well, and don't forget to remind her to take her medicine. Also, take her out for walks now and then. It will be good for her. Don't let her stay alone for too long..." she had, in her heart, made a list of things to tell Mrs. Davidson, thinking that Spencer was not home and she wished she could accompany her.

Zoe was touched and wished she herself could have a daughter like Nathalia. "I will, Mrs. Nathalia Davidson. You are so thoughtful. I wish she would listen and see you, you know..."

"It's ok. It's up to her whether she sees me or not. I'm just doing what my heart tells me to do." Nathalia said, feeling frustrated.

Zoe heaved a heavy sigh. How did things turn out this way? It was such a happy family. It was that awful and evil woman!

"I hope so." Nathalia stood up to leave, "Please take care of mum and keep me posted."

"Will do." Zoe nodded and walked Nathalia to the gate. When she returned to the house, she was startled to see Mrs. Davidson standing by the stairs, staring at the bags on the table.

Mrs. Davidson refused to leave her room to see Nathalia, but she was listening.

Zoe sighed and said, "See, she does love you and cares about you very much. She's brought all these..."

"Enough. I don't want to hear anything about her." Mrs. Davidson snapped and glared at Zoe, who heaved a sigh and went quiet. Mrs. Davidson is very gentle and amiable. She is such a pleasant person, but when it concerns Mr. Davidson, she just gets stubborn and can't let it go.

"You work for me. I thought you were on my side. Why are you speaking well of her?" Mrs. Davidson said, feeling unjust.

"Mrs. Sue Davidson, I've worked for you for almost twenty years. I've seen you the happiest when Mr. Spencer Davidson and Mrs. Nathalia Davidson all lived here together." Zoe said honestly. That was the time when I saw her so alive, so cheerful. She laughed the most during that time, and of course, Mrs. Nathalia Davidson has to take the credit.

There's something in Mrs. Nathalia Davidson that's warm, positive, inspiring, and it's contagious. Everyone loves having her around and enjoys her company very much.

Having worked with the family for a long time, Zoe could see things clearly and knew that both the mother and son, Sue and Spencer, needed Nathalia. She was like the light that shone upon them. When she smiled, it lit up space. It was her love that had taken them out of pain.

She's the best daughter-in-law any mother could wish for. Zoe sighed.

"I'm tired. I'm going to get some rest." Mrs. Davidson didn't want to hear anything about Nathalia, and she said impatiently. Everyone's on that girl's side. She thought and went upstairs to her room. Sitting on the balcony in the sun, she felt forlorn and alone, despite the beautiful sunny weather.

Later, Zoe knocked at the door and came in with some food and the medicine for Mrs. Davidson. She hasn't been eating well, and I've found her flush the medicine into the toilet a few times. Zoe thought worriedly.

"Please eat a bit, Mrs. Davidson. And take medicine, please." Zoe said gently.

Emotionlessly, Mrs. Davidson replied, "I don't feel like eating at all."

Zoe placed the tray down. "It's a BLT. I remember you enjoyed it a lot last time."

The sight of the sandwich and the familiar smell tempted Mrs. Davidson and reminded her of the time when Spencer and Nathalia and her dined together. She did have the appetite for it, but she looked away stubbornly and said, "You have it, or give it to the other maids. I don't want it." She recalled how Spencer and Nathalia, especially Nathalia, ate it with such pleasure. That was the best seasoning, seeing how they enjoyed it.

Zoe frowned. "Are you sure?" This is one of her favorites. She didn't use to eat the food of 'common people,' but Mrs. Nathalia Davidson does, and she has introduced such a variety of food, and she started falling in love with it.
