365 Chapter 365: He Loves Me, That’s The Difference

Just then, a waiter walked past by with a tray of champagne. He took one and handed it to Nathalia, not knowing that Nathalia disliked alcohol. "Here." He said.

Nathalia opened her eyes wide and retorted directly, "But I don't want champagne!"

Matt had noticed that Nate could be a dangerous threat somehow. Despite the obvious fact that Nate was interested in Nathalia, he didn't think Nate was actually into her. What's his real intention? Matt wondered.

"Please excuse us, Mr. Nate Morgan. You can have a drink. Nathalia and I will go and get another one."

Nate narrowed his eyes and looked at Matt thoughtfully. "You seem very protective of Mrs. Nathalia Davidson. Perhaps, overprotective, I would say."

Matt was surprised by his response and worried that people were listening, he took a quick glance around.

There was a sudden tension in the air. Nathalia tilted her head and said cheekily, "What is it that you want? Just be direct. But just in case, please don't fall in love with me as I have no feelings for you at all."

The tension disappeared. Nate blinked at Nathalia, amazed by her words. "Huh. You wish."

Nathalia heaved a sigh with exaggeration and smiled happily, "Good! Now I feel much relieved." And that, of course, took Nate by surprise again. What a strange girl!

The orchestra started playing music. Sam Clark took the chance immediately and presented his daughter to Nate, hoping he would dance with her. "Mr. Nate Morgan, this is my daughter, Mia. It will be wonderful if you will dance with Mia."

Mia Clark blushed and looked at Nate affectionately. Her eyes seemed to shine with expectation.

Nathalia noticed and smiled, thinking, how lovely to see people in love. She recalled when she first met Spencer. She didn't like him at all in the beginning. She even despised rich playboys like him. And he kissed me! How time flew, and things changed. I'm now his wife.

Suddenly, Nate extended his hand in front of her and asked politely, "Mrs. Nathalia Davidson, may I have the honor to dance with you?"

Shocked, Nathalia looked up. What the hell is he doing?

He bowed slightly, his slim hand waiting, and smiled at her. Nathalia glanced at Mia, who was blushing again, but this time not because of excitement but embarrassment. She heaved a silent sigh and thought she had now made herself another enemy. She's going to hate me now. What does this guy want from me?!

She remained quiet, not answering, while Nate waited patiently. Suddenly everyone was quiet and watching, wondering how this was going to develop.

Mia was speechless. Even her own father wasn't supportive at all.

Now that the host had asked, Nathalia couldn't find an acceptable reason to reject. She stood up, put her hand in Nate's hand. Nate smiled happily and closed his hand around hers.

He led her to the dance floor, with his eyes fixed on her. They danced to the Waltz music beautifully as if they had danced together for a long time, gliding around the floor effortlessly, gracefully, perfectly.

The crowd was gazing at the two in the center of the dance floor, amazed by their perfect moves, especially the young and single girls. They were so jealous and envious, yet at the same time felt lucky that Nathalia was married, and she was happily married.

The girls were busy contemplating how to get the chance to dance with Nate to the next tune.

For the first time, Nate realized that dancing could be so enjoyable. He complimented, "You are really good." Nathalia didn't seem very pleased as she didn't want to dance with him. "Thanks. My husband has taught me well." She said plainly.

He seems to be a gentleman but is just a cheeky and rude boy. I'm already being too nice to him. Huh.

Nate knitted his brows and said, "You love mentioning your husband, don't you? Are you trying to imply something?" He now sounded annoyed as well.

Sensing that he was angry, Nathalia felt better. "Why? I'm not implying anything at all. I'm just saying, frankly and plainly, that I have a great husband."

Nate was speechless. He had never met anyone like Nathalia at all. Her response was always completely unexpected.

He didn't like feeling defeated, yet at the same time, he enjoyed her peculiarity very much. "Is this why Spencer Davidson loves you? Because of your unusual temperament?"

Nathalia's face lit up, and smiled. "Well, you will have to ask him then. But I'm very pleased with myself. I'm lovely, amiable, kind, generous, beautiful..." Love is a strange thing. A lot of the time, one can't explain love. How strange to think that I actually disliked Spencer in the beginning, and now I can't imagine living without him.

"Who told you so?" Nate rolled his eyes at her. Such a proud and cheeky thing.

A thought popped into Nathalia's mind again, and she asked curiously, "Have we met before?" She stared at him, watching his face closely, awaiting the answer impatiently.

"Why?" Nate appeared surprised at first, then he smiled brightly, "Do you also feel like we have met before? Like we've known each other for long? Me too. Perhaps we have, in our previous life and we were very close. Perhaps we were husband and wife!" he said with excitement and grinned.

Now, Nathalia rolled her eyes at him, thinking, Come on, are you really the Nate Morgan that everyone is speaking so highly of?

She replied discouragingly, "Alright, you are thinking too much now. Even if we met in our previous life, I would not fall in love with you. It's impossible."

Nate frowned, "Why? I'm a perfect example of perfection. Everyone's charmed by me."

Listen to him. He thinks I'm proud. Who's the proud one?! "Yes, you are. Too perfect for me." She said dismissively.

Nate wasn't pleased with the answer. "Nah, you didn't mean that. What about your husband then?" He knew that Spencer was as perfect as him. Why did Nathalia choose Spencer then? Can't she just take me seriously just once?

Nathalia glanced around, avoiding looking at him, and said, "Spencer is different. Don't compare yourself with him."

"On the contrary, I think he and I are very similar. What's the difference? I'm curious." Nate hesitated for a bit before he asked.

Nathalia tilted her head and thought for a little while. There was a content smile in her eyes. "He loves me. That's the difference."
