366 Chapter 366: He Loved Her Unconditionally, Completely

For her, he was the one and only. He was everything to her.

Nate gazed at Nathalia, stunned by her answer, and wondered, is this what's called love?

"I also..."

He stopped and changed his wording, "I also like you a lot. If we had met earlier, would you fall in love with me?" Nathalia didn't notice the unusual expression on his face. She was thinking about Spencer, excited about speaking to him on the phone later.

She replied indifferently, "Perhaps I would, perhaps I wouldn't. Who knows? I don't think about ifs."

Nate felt a sudden disappointment. He muttered, "Now, I'm feeling regretful." Does she think about her husband? He wondered.

"Pardon?" Nathalia turned to look at him and asked.

"Spencer Davidson is a lucky man." He said a bit bitterly.

Nathalia grinned happily. "Oh, for sure. We are lucky to have each other." As long as it was about Spencer, Nathalia was happy to talk.

"Huh, you are..." Nate was about to retort when the song ended, and silence fell. Nathalia bowed slightly, smiled, and turned to leave.

Nate was about to follow Nathalia when someone in a blue dress came over and said, "Mr. Nate Morgan, can I dance with you to the next song, please?"

It was Kelly, who had returned in a different outfit.

Nate answered icily, "I'm tired."

Kelly knew that she would be very likely rejected and had come prepared this time. She sneered and whispered mysteriously, "Don't you want to know about Nathalia? I can tell you everything." And she extended her hand, confident that Nate would take it.

Nate knew what Kelly was thinking, and he didn't want to accept, yet somehow he took her hand. The crowd was shocked. What a change! He's dancing with Kelly Berry!

Kelly felt more anger than excitement, cursing Nathalia silently. Why does every man fall for her instead?! I hate her!

However, she responded with a bright smile. She lifted her chest up and followed him to the dance floor.

When she was enjoying being watched and envied by the crowd, dancing with Nate and getting into her own fantasy, Nate said impatiently, "Tell me then."

His tone was so cold that all her excitement vanished instantly. She narrowed her eyes and said bitterly, "Well, she's a selfish and evil woman. She abandoned her family for money, and she seduced Spencer for fame and power..."

Nate sneered, "What happened between you two? You obviously hate her."

Nate wasn't touched at all. He cut her short and said sharply, "Well, you don't look upset at all. Look at you, dressed fancily here at a party. It doesn't look like someone has just died in your family."

Stupid woman! Stupid lies. What a waste of my time! He found her utterly annoying. He pushed her off him and said aloud, "Jealousy is so ugly. You are the ugliest woman I've seen."

It happened so suddenly that Kelly stumbled, losing her balance, and fell over heavily. Everyone heard Nate's comment and turned to see Kelly on the floor.

They stopped dancing and stared in surprise. Another drama? What's wrong with the Berry family? They annoyed the Davidsons first, and now the Morgans as well?

The dress was too tight, and Kelly struggled to get up. "Mr. Nate Morgan, give me a hand, please." She pleaded.

Nate ignored her completely. He wandered around, searching for the sight of Nathalia in the crowd.

Herman came over and scolded Kelly, "Why are you causing trouble again?! Don't you know how to seduce men at all? You have angered him."

"I'm trying! Get me up." Kelly retorted in frustration. He's only thinking about that bitch! What can I do? They have only met once! How is that possible! I just don't understand these stupid men.

Nathalia had informed Wendy and sneaked out of the party. It had turned a bit chilly at night, and Nathalia shivered slightly while standing outside, waiting for her driver. I should have brought a jacket or a scarf. She thought as she rubbed her bare arms.

Just then, a car pulled over. The window opened, and out popped a familiar face. Nathalia was a bit surprised to see Curt. She bent down and asked, "Hey, dad. All good?"

Curt nodded and said, "Get in. I will take you home."

"Are you sure?" Nathalia looked into the car. She had noticed earlier at the party that Curt was surrounded by all sorts of women. Curt realized what she meant and rolled his eyes at her. Then he opened the door for Nathalia, "Get in."

Nathalia got in and sat at the back. She asked casually, "What is it?"

Seated at the front, Matt couldn't help taking a look at Nathalia from the mirror. Straight to the point. Very Nathalia. He thought.

Curt wasn't to beat around the bush either. "Don't get too close to him. He can't be trusted." It was sincere advice. He saw a lot in Nate, and it made him feel uneasy.

Nathalia wasn't upset at all. She nodded and said, "I know. I won't, and I don't intend to anyway."

All she was thinking about was to spend time with Spencer when he came home. She was even planning to have babies.

Curt understood that Nathalia always meant what she said and he felt relieved to hear so. He thought of Sue and asked quietly, "How's she?" He didn't need to say the name, and he knew Nathalia would understand. There was something about Nathalia that he wished he had. How she always knew where she was going and what she wanted, and she stuck to it. She made it happen.

Only if I had done the same when I was young...He thought remorsefully.
