389 Chapter 389: It’s Okay To Cry

It was pitch dark outside. Only a dim light was on in the room. She saw a familiar figure sitting next to the bed and, without thinking, her arm around his waist and wept, "Spencer, I just had a terrible dream! Someone told me that you had a plane crash! I was so worried! I was crying..."

The man didn't move, and she felt a sudden strangeness. She stopped talking and suddenly looked up at the man and pushed him away. It was Matt.

"Matt? What are you doing here? Where's Spencer?" she asked with teary eyes, looking helpless and scared like a little lost girl.

Matt's heart ached for her, but he knew he had to stay calm and strong for her. "Nathalia, be as strong as you have always been. Spencer will..."

Nathalia felt her head hurting awfully. She couldn't understand what Matt was saying. Someone started crying next to her. She turned around slowly, her face blank. "Lisa, why are you crying? Spencer will be fine. He has promised me that he will love me and look after me forever."

Lisa couldn't help herself, and she sobbed ever louder as she embraced Nathalia in her arms. "Nathalia, cry if you want to. It's ok to cry." God! How can you be so cruel to her? Hasn't she been through enough?

Nathalia's mind was in a mess. The only thing she could think of was Spencer's promise that he would be back tomorrow. When tomorrow comes, he will be back. She told herself.

"I don't want to cry. Spencer is fine. Why should I cry?" she said weakly. Suddenly, she pushed Lisa away and stumbled off the bed. Lisa didn't know what was best to do. She couldn't dare to imagine what life was going to be like for Nathalia.

Her heart must be aching so badly, my poor girl! They love each other so much. How could this happen to them?! God! You can't do this to her!

She followed Nathalia closely, ready to give her hand anytime. "Nathalia, where are you going? My girl?" she asked gently.

Nathalia stood leaning to the door, her face dreadfully pale. "I have to look for Spencer. I know he will do anything for me if he knows I'm angry. I have to tell him if he doesn't come home, I will be very upset, then he will come back. He will come back..." she muttered faintly.

She looked around the corridor, not knowing where to go. She felt like her soul had drifted away, and her body wasn't in her control anymore.

Lisa tried to talk to her to calm her down, but she wasn't listening at all.

Matt couldn't take it anymore and marched over to block her way. "Nathalia, you are still very weak. You need to rest. I will take care of it..." He said sternly and sincerely.

Sue fainted and still hadn't woken up. Curt went to the airline company straight away and had instructed Matt to look after Sue and Nathalia.

Matt felt hurt. "Nathalia. What do you mean?" She didn't mean it. He tried to convince himself.

"Spencer doesn't like you, and you don't like Spencer either. You want to hurt him, but I won't allow you!" Nathalia yelled at him as if with the last bit of strength that she had got left, clenching her fists.

She didn't mean it. She is too emotional now. She doesn't know what she is saying. It's ok. It's ok. Matt kept telling himself. His heart hurt.

"Is this how you think of me?" he asked despairingly.

Nathalia pushed him again and shouted, "Whatever! I don't care. Please leave me alone! Let me go!"

She was no longer the strong-minded girl who could remain calm in any situation. She was now merely a little girl, frightened of losing the man she loved the most.

Lisa embraced her from behind, trying to soothe her. "Nathalia, my girl. Hush. Hush. It's alright." She tried to speak calmly while tears ran down her face uncontrollably.

"I want Spencer. Lisa, please help me, help me find Spencer. Please, I want him home." Nathalia pleaded helplessly.

All she could think of was the familiar face. She wanted to hear him say, "Babe, I'm back."

"Ok. Ok. I will take you to the airport." Lisa felt her pain and knew how unbearable it was. God, please help her go through this. She prayed and prayed. She's been through more than enough pain. She has had a hard journey to finally be with the man she loves. God, you can't take him away from her.

Sophie had been staying with Sue in the room next door. She heard the crying and screaming and walked out to see such a heart-breaking scene. He started sobbing quietly. Why?! Why?! How did it happen?

Lisa asked Sophie to stay with Sue as she accompanied Nathalia to the airport. On the way, Nathalia kept calling Spencer, but the only response she got was the robotic voice repeating coldly. 'The number you dialed is unavailable.' Yet, she wouldn't give up, and the more she called, the more anxious she grew.

All Lisa could do was to hug her and tell her everything was fine. She knew the only person that could ever help Nathalia in situations like this now was the one gone missing.

As soon as they got to the airport, they were surrounded by journalists who had been waiting impatiently, bombarding Nathalia with endless questions. Guarded by the bodyguards, they went through the VIP gate and left the journalists behind.

Curt and his team, as well as the responsible airline company crew, Royal Air, were in an intense meeting.
