Chapter 150 - I can Barely Recognize This Guy

"You shouldn't have seen that..." Li Feng rubbed his neck and sighed as Qiao Shan continued to stand next to him outside the Li Family Estate. The girl only shook her head and bounced on her spot. "I'm actually glad to be part of something big in your life, Li Feng. Even if it's something dark..."

Everyone was now dealing with the aftermath of the encounter. The shaking Xiao Luan caused had compromised the structural integrity of the estate so they had it checked out. The paramedics were still on the grounds, attending to Li Heilong whom Mian Bingbing refused to take to any hospital because of what happened before.

The EMTs were left to assist Wang Yusheng as he restitched the wound in a very controlled environment. Even if it was not in their standard operating procedure, the EMTs didn't want to leave the dying patient without care. For some reason, Wang Yusheng was charismatic enough to convince them that there would be no malpractice and the Li family wouldn't come after them.

Li Feng and the rest were outside, waiting for the results of the checks. If the building had to be renovated, everyone could just find a place to stay with the Li family paying for their expenses. Right now, only a few were standing around to watch and wait.

While listening to the two, Li Yunru only pouted. She then nudged at Qiao Shan, and the girl somewhat received a strange signal from it. Qiao Shan then hooked some hair behind her ear. Li Feng squinted at them before dismissing them. He turned around to find his mother when—"Pfft!"

Out of nowhere, Li Feng spat out fresh blood and felt like his whole body was wrung by force. He fell to the ground and continued vomiting, alarming everyone who saw it. Mian Tianyu and Li Yunru gasped and hurried to him, Kang Jun running to find the EMTs and Mian Bingbing. Qiao Shan, however, only stood in her place.

Blood was also dripping from her mouth and nose. Her eyes then quivered. 'Hop! What's happening?!'

Wu Qianqian sat on the bench while waiting for Liu Li to return from the vending machine. They were waiting for the next train bound to the capital, and Liu Li had no choice but to be on indefinite leave for now. Something about his wife and his son was happening, and he couldn't care less about that company he was bound to sell in the future after all.

The old man walked back to his wife and handed her a cold drink, but the moment the can met Wu Qianqian's fingers, it just slipped down and fell to the floor. Both Liu Li and Wu Qianqian felt a strange strike in their hearts, and they both looked at each other. However, only Liu Li pursed his lips while Wu Qianqian held onto her mouth.

Why did it feel like something just happened to their little boy?

Ruan Jin was soaking in the bathtub while watching the sky from the one-way mirror wall of their bathroom. He was laugh-crying at the feeling of living the life of the rich when he suddenly felt a sting in his c.h.e.s.t. He brought down the beer can he was holding and tried to get out of the tub when Ye Ling phased into his sight. Unlike the normal appearance of the girl, she was rather bloody and pale.

The man was horrified, but she had to say something: "Ruan Lang… something potentially killed Liu Xiaodan..."

...

Kaboom! Things happened so fast that before Guangru could get out of his reverie, he was already feeling the gnawing itch to feel a hole on his body. When the materialized body of the child got up from where he was, he saw the aftermath of the strange item. The hallway had charred and dented as if as a result of encasing the explosion. What made him confused was that the chair was also gone, along with his Baba…

Guangru got to his small feet and realized that blood was on the floor. Moreover, there was a leg just steps away. He then scanned the rest of the hallway and finally found a mangled body of what seemed to be his Baba. His eyes then widened in terror… just like that time when he first felt the surge of time stopping.

"I see him!" Familiar voices echoed, and the child turned in the direction of the advancing group of elite squad soldiers. Their flashlights centered on Liu Xiaodan, and they moved so fast that they got to him in a few seconds… that few seconds that Guangru was frozen.

Three kneeled down and used her rifle to poke against the body to check. She then scanned the lifeless body for any movement, but there was nothing. The soldier examined the body and confirmed that there was no pulse or heartbeat. The body was also very damaged to be brought without any stretcher. "The grenade they developed is really this strong? I can barely recognize this guy..."

Captain looked down and squinted. He then kneeled down as well and checked for the same vitals. However, unlike Three, Captain removed his glove. His eyes grew wide, but it grew narrow again as if not believing what he was seeing. He then began checking underneath the cloth.

"Captain, what's wrong?" Three asked, One and Two glancing their way while aiming and looking around in case something else came.

"Look, this body is already cold. The frame is the same, but this body… doesn't look like the body of a student. Too muscly..." Captain's hands trembled. "This isn't Liu Xiaodan. What is—?"

Bang! Two started firing from the direction behind them. When Three and Captain got up, their flashlights saw a rushing figure of a wide mouth. The echoing sounds of cl.i.c.k.i.n.g heels felt like they lost reflexes. The big mouth chomped down at Two who could only scream as the ghost's teeth were lacerating his arms and abdomen. The three retreated and started firing, but their bullets didn't seem to be taking effect even if they were blessed.

Soon, two long figures lined the walls, and the three active shooters saw huge hands slap towards them. Captain pushed Three and One away, and the huge hands caught him in a loud bang! His bones cracked like two trucks had crushed his body. Blood spat out of his mouth, and his body was thrown away by one of the hands.

The big mouth dug its teeth deeply and was enough to crush through the flesh and the bones. The upper half of the soldier was chewed by the big-mouthed ghost that looked like some kind of nurse in white. She walked to the side, her heels cl.i.c.k.i.n.g to the beat of their thumping hearts.

"Why…?" A familiar voice echoed, and even Guangru was stiffened when he heard it. "I said I don't like getting shot… so you threw a grenade at me…? You even tried to hurt Guangru..."
