Chapter 209 - The Stakes were Fair

"What?" Fan Meiling was putting all her attention on the sounds and then on the director. It was easy to forget what Sun Yinxie was doing to her until she accidentally grabbed Sun Yinxie's hair and yanked him off of her. She then heard a few more details before answering: "I'm on my way."

She struggled to put the phone back and continuously kick the willful son of the director to escape his hold. It's just that he didn't want her to leave, at least not unless he was done pumping seed inside her. "Get off! The maze formation is breaking again."

"Huh? But that was reinforced already, wasn't it?" Sun Yinxie growled as he consoled his head, moving away without a choice. "How is it different this time? You even pulled out my brain—I want my compensation."

"The last time..."—Fan Meiling got off of the table and swiftly wore all her clothes—"4-28 accidentally caused a commotion. This time, someone is actively breaking the core of the maze formation. Do you know what will happen if those Kings escape the Treatment Hall?"

Sun Yinxie froze and gulped the forming lump down his throat. He quickly got dressed as well before helping out in gathering the folders and files while Fan Meiling dealt with her own computer. Soon enough, a siren resounded in the Administrative Hall, telling all staff to pack up and proceed to the top floor for protection.

The woman, however, grinned in malice. 'Let's see how you're going to fix this now, Wu Zhong.'

Wu Zhong was reviewing Project Queen on his tablet when he arrived in his office in the Administrative Hall. When he lifted his eyes to greet the woman he left in the lounge, she was tampering with the wires of the television. He watched quietly as she managed to use the remote and wire connections to actually tap into the visual cameras of the hall. He just realized that this woman was a little dangerous if left alone for so long.

"What are you doing?" Wu Zhong chuckled darkly as if preparing to hear a shriek and a guilty response from the woman. However, Chuan Nayi had the audacity to just glance at him before resuming her work in trying to find access to other cameras in the server. He placed his hands behind him and stalked towards the woman.

"Nayi, are you trying to escape?" Wu Zhong didn't like the idea that this woman would try to go around on her own. She was still too valuable to him and to Liu Xiaodan. If she fell into his hands, Wu Zhong would lose a bigger advantage—even if she wasn't the only one he had.

Chuan Nayi then did a little celebratory gasp and laugh as she managed to tap into the Rooms Hall, Lodging Hall, and the Administrative Hall. Such a very organized system did have disadvantages. "I'm not trying to escape. I'm just curious why Li Feng is with Xiaodan. Also, all the cameras in the Treatment Hall were destroyed by Guangru. Why do you have to kill someone close to him? You do realize he's going to revolt..."

The man then walked to the further side of the room and placed down the files on his table. "Tell me, Nayi. Do you fear the demon? What if I tell you that I can tame such a creature?"

"Tame Guangru?" Chuan Nayi finally turned to the man. "Hm, maybe other demons could be tamed since they would most likely just want to eat and eat humans. Guangru, however… he's not a normal demon. Not to mention that Xiaodan is letting him be what he wanted to be."

"Do you want to have a wager with me?" Wu Zhong chuckled. He was very confident that it was possible. He had been helping the Qiao family with their Black March, and the number of demons to be tamed was greater than ten. Guangru was just one ancient demon that had been weakened by time and slumber. What could he do that Wu Zhong could not counter? Didn't he just show Guangru that he knew the weakness of a demon's possession?

A huff came from Chuan Nayi. She walked towards him and eyed the files on the table. She didn't think of touching them at all. Her eyes then met Wu Zhong's eyes. "I'm listening."

The man stroked at his thin beard. "I will be able to tame Guangru. If I manage to do it, you will be my ward. I will not take interests in your body s.e.x.u.a.lly, but you will serve me until death. If I lose, what do you want in return?"

"...everything you own." Chuan Nayi didn't even flinch at the mention of servitude. It was as if she knew that Wu Zhong would never win. "The Wu family should be faring well if it's able to serve the Qiao family well. Moreover, you'd probably die trying to tame Guangru. If you lose, I want everything you own: your estates, your money, and every company under your name."

"...very well." Wu Zhong took a second to answer, and his smile had already fallen from his lips.

If anything, the stakes were fair. Chuan Nayi only had her one life, and he wanted it from her. It's not unreasonable for her to take his properties and treasures should he lose. Moreover, it was true: he would die trying. If he failed, Guangru would surely kill him.

The man only found his amus.e.m.e.nt and curled his lips at the younger woman. She sounded more vicious than her mother. Even Jiang Yanyu wouldn't ask for a man's hard-earned money. "I will draft a contract for this. Sadly, I would have to rewrite my will if I were to lose." He then turned to the television that showed the frantic movements of the nurses and orderlies. "What are you watching?"

"The Rooms Hall… I was trying to look for Jin." Chuan Nayi had a frown on her face, but she quickly jogged to the television and stared at the panic striking on the faces of the staff. "What's happening?"

"Mr. Wu, there's something you need to see—" It was actually Song Qixi. He lost interest in watching personally earlier and left Chu Youlan to deal with the recording. However, he wasn't even able to do what he needed when the news came in. It didn't help that he was shocked to see Chuan Nayi… standing. "You were faking it?"

"No, Guangru healed me." Chuan Nayi recognized the man, but she didn't want to bother with him. "You were saying something to Mr. Wu."

Song Qixi glared at her nonchalant and dismissive behavior. He then turned to Wu Zhong. "Mr. Wu, we're needed in the Control Room. Let's leave now."

The man didn't want to go anymore. He just got here from the Control Room, and he was expected to return? Before he could speak, Song Qixi walked in and closed the door behind him. He glanced at the woman watching the Rooms Hall cameras before getting closer to the man who even sat down the chair. "Mr. Wu, I have reasons to believe that the demon is destroying the Treatment Hall's maze formation. We need your advice."
