Chapter 210 - I Got You

"Breaking the formation, huh." Chuan Nayi giggled as she figured that it was Guangru's answer to Wu Zhong killing Yun He just to spite Guangru. Did he really take it as Wu Zhong teaching him a lesson? Then again, based on their conversation—even with Liu Xiaodan, the father and son duo had debts to pay. Was this not the first time Wu Zhong had done something stupid to them?

"…you do realize that everyone else in the facility will die if the formation breaks, right?" Song Qixi lifted a brow. He figured that she should at least be alarmed by the amount of death toll this would bring. Liu Xiaodan didn't like hurting the innocent; did the girlfriend not care about them?

"I don't believe you built this place without a safeguard against spirits. Even if the maze formation breaks, I doubt there are no more places like the Administrative Hall's top floor that can safeguard the patients and important people." Chuan Nayi turned to them. "More importantly, I doubt there's nothing you can do about letting the Kings rampage around."

Wu Zhong sighed with a faint smile. He then got up from the chair and had his hands behind him. "Let us leave now, Sergeant. I just made an interesting deal with Nayi. It would be bad if I spoil it in an instant."

After they left, Chuan Nayi clutched at her c.h.e.s.t. She then started to flick the cameras to find Ruan Jin. "Where are you? I need eyes on you… now that I lost my eyes of Xiaodan. Wherever you are, he will find you."

The hot steam was enough to almost make Ruan Jin fall asleep. They were being helped into their bath by the nurses earlier, and so he started to doze off. He was beginning to miss Ye Ling's voice. His girlfriend was separated from him, but he had no idea how they could have taken her away. If she was exorcised, he would be damned. His tears began to fall at the thought.

The other remaining male of the support group was there, as well as those patients stuck on their floor. Some nurses and orderlies were actually watching over them as someone might act up again, like the last time.

The nurses then saw their pagers beeping, making them walk out of the cauldron room to answer the messages.  By then, though, they quickly entered again and spoke to the orderlies. The patients were then pulled out from the tubs all of a sudden. Ruan Jin didn't know why, but they were even being escorted out despite their wetness.

The scene outside made Ruan Jin shudder. A siren was blaring, and everyone was trying to get the patients out of whatever they were doing in the Food and Leisure Hall. Soldiers were helping out in what seemed to be an evacuation. Why were they evacuating the hall? What was happening?

"I got you." Someone suddenly took over the wheelchair, and Ruan Jin didn't need to look to know who it was. It was that doctor named Jiu Yuanli who seemed to be interested in him. The group headed to the elevators to the fourth floor. Jiu Yuanli turned to the other nurses. "What's happening?"

"We need to get everyone back to their rooms. The management is in charge of keeping them safe. Though we can also stay with them. Admin Hall or Rooms Hall, there's no difference." The nurse only said what he remembered from the drills. As for what excuse they had for the siren, the nurses could just ask around after. "Aren't you supposed to be aiding the third-floor patients, doc?"

"Floor Three didn't have mobile patients. They're all in their rooms all day." Jiu Yuanli raised his brows. "Besides, I was trying to get food for the patients when this happened. Should I abandon you now that Floor Four is understaffed? I can't find Nurse Yun, too."

The male nurse only grimaced. "You're right. If Nurse Yun was here, we wouldn't be having a lot of trouble. He knows what to do exactly in this situation. I wonder why he always comes to the Administrative Hall before. Eh, it's probably because of that Xiaodan guy. Heh, what a lawbreaker."

Jiu Yuanli only chuckled before they arrived at the elevator hall on the fourth floor. The nurses guided the patients while Jiu Yuanli rolled Ruan Jin to his room. Then, the doctor closed the door behind him. He stroked at Ruan Jin's face with both hands. "Hey, babe, this is going to hurt. I can't use anesthetics so it will hurt like hell. Are you ready? Don't worry, I'm not planning to harm you, okay? Don't try to push me away."

The doctor then carried Ruan Jin to lie face down on the bed. He propped the pillows properly so he wouldn't suffocate the patient. His finger pushed around the hair as if looking for an entrance wound. When he found it, his gaze suddenly turned cold as if he grew angry at the sight. He then stealthily inserted a long-needled syringe into Ruan Jin's neck at a rather strange angle.

Ruan Jin could only cry in pain as he felt like something was crawling into his brain. He continued to call for Ye Ling in his head, begging for her to save him. His head felt like it was going to explode, and he didn't want anything else but to wake up in this hellish nightmare. He couldn't even thrash around even if the doctor wasn't pinning him down from the waist.

Strange warmth then flowed into his body as he felt like something soft actually pressed against his leg. It was like the paw of a giant stuffed toy. Ruan Jin couldn't see anything, and so he just hoped it wasn't something scary. His body continued to relax despite the foreign needle, but its insertion was not the most painful.

"Shhh." The doctor continued to hush him as Jiu Yuanli started to press on the syringe. The liquid that dripped at the end of the needle caused Ruan Jin's nape to burn in pain. It was as if his head was being sawn from that side, and he couldn't even scream out to relieve himself. "We're almost done, Jin. We're almost there…"

"Help… me… Ling..." Ruan Jin forced words out of his mouth. Even if the waves of pain would subside, he was still scared of what the doctor had done to him.

"You're going to be fine. Just… three more of these some other time, okay?" The doctor got off of him and was about to turn Ruan Jin around to make him lie down properly. However, something big and dark appeared at the corner of his eye. Jiu Yuanli turned to the foot of the bed and saw a huge teddy bear sitting against the wall. It was something that he wouldn't miss in plain sight.

Instead of being scared, Jiu Yuanli smiled. "Are you like that black horse? Is this a trend to children's toys?" He then sighed as he continued flipping the patient with care. "Don't hurt me, big fellow. I'm not the one who paralyzed this boy. I am actually trying to revive his body. This is just our little secret, okay?"
