Chapter 291 - This Kind Child is Not the Monster Hades

"Fangfen!" The parents were shocked. Li Feng wasn't.

It was not because he had cleansed the place. It was because Liu Xiaodan had gotten rid of the ghosts on the teen for a while now. Even if she had no energy to expend, she wanted to wake up. Liu Xiaodan might not be able to feel that, but it was something that Li Feng could tell.

Now that the parents had attended to the daughter, Li Feng gestured at Liu Xiaodan. It was time to go.

The two didn't say goodbye. They just left, but the senior spoke with the junior along the way. "We came here because Ruan Jin said someone from the Sun Corporation had already come to deal with things. Maybe, they actually waited for Director Sun to wake up. As for how I found you just in time… can you not summon your Kings here? You don't know what kind of heart attack you gave me."

"What else am I supposed to do? I can't deal with those ghosts on my own. Spraying my blood around is horrifying and unhygienic." Liu Xiaodan held his laugh, but Li Feng actually caught it. The senior's brow actually lifted. He said, "Xiaodan… are you having fun? Are you helping out for the fun of it?"

"...no, I really need to feed Guangru and the rest." Liu Xiaodan waved his hand at the senior before keeping his hands on the side. However, he averted his eyes from Li Feng's gaze and continued to hide his laugh. It wasn't even something ridiculing. Then again, since Li Feng already stopped him from walking, he figured he should say it nonetheless. 

Liu Xiaodan only sighed before looking at Li Feng. "I'm just a little excited and a little happy. Back in the facility, all I thought about was to hide away and kill. It didn't matter if I had companions or anything so it doesn't count. Actually, when I was in prison, I began loathing humans more than ghosts. I'd rather be in their company than other humans who I cannot connect with."

He then rubbed the back of his head as if beginning to get embarrassed. "Stepping outside Cherry Med felt very different… but I… for some reason, I have you and the others. I have people who I can speak with normally, be it related to ghosts or not. 

"I couldn't discuss these things with Jin, Taio, and Disung before; I still worry about them getting involved. More so with Nayi." He paused, lowering his head again. "Heheh, but there's you… and probably some other people in the future. Even if I jump into trouble, I don't… well… I don't feel pressured to keep you away anymore. You know this world more than I do, and… uhm, it feels strange to actually rely on another human..."

"...that's..." Li Feng wasn't flattered at all. He actually sobbed inwardly. He's officially a big brother, and he couldn't escape it anymore. Sigh, well… even if they didn't have that kind of start, he was still supposed to be an older cousin brother to his mother's cousin sister's son. "Huh… it should be okay..."

Li Feng ended up smiling kindly. Actually, this was good, right? He really thought Liu Xiaodan would stay in the darkness after they took him out of the facility. With an ability like his, it was very hard to become human anymore. However, it seemed that Liu Xiaodan was trying not to weaponize himself as much as possible. If it was because of Chuan Nayi or Guangru, it didn't matter.

As long as Hades chose to be human, yet another monster would sleep in the depths.

"Aw, so sweet. Why don't you kiss?" Both Li Feng and Liu Xiaodan twitched visibly when they heard a voice giggling from the side. Then again, it was just Tang Mingming and not a real person. This ghost could be beaten up for spouting nonsense. Well, those were Li Feng's thoughts.

"Ming, I don't want to kiss Feng. You can do it if you want to."

"Nah, if he falls in love with me, will you be responsible for it?"

Li Feng only massaged his forehead. How audacious of them to make fun of him. He then just dropped it and followed Liu Xiaodan in walking closer to Tang Mingming who was peering from a corner. "Aren't you touring the hospital for feeds? How could you miss out on that small family over there, just close by?"

A shrug was only Tang Mingming's answer. He detached from the wall and started walking backward. "None of the ghosts here are worthy to be eaten by the glorious me. I need a strong one to be able to break through. Jun and Old Doctor are having a field day, though. When are we going to hunt strong ones? Are we even going to?"

"Patience, Ming. I'm still trying to get an internship in the Mian family for this. Don't worry, I promise you'd be eating a lot soon." Liu Xiaodan only chuckled.

"Hm? Alright. Yawn, I'm getting really sleepy even if I'm not breaking through." Tang Mingming stretched out and rubbed his eyes. He then jumped inside Liu Xiaodan. "Just wake me up when there's something to eat."

The door opened, and Director Sun turned to the guests that he had. He didn't have guards outside, but it should be okay since he had Li Heilong's eyes on him. No one would dare harm the person deemed important in the eyes of a Li Heilong. However, he didn't realize that this person would be here to visit him.

Director Sun would be drenched in cold sweat, but due to the strange aura on Liu Xiaodan's body—actually, it was the one that Director Sun was used to back then; he didn't really feel frightened. He even smiled bitterly at the young men. "Young Master Li, Xiaodan..."

"Don't mind me." Li Feng only came to confirm the confinement. He just walked to the couch and sat on the arm because Sun Yinxie was sleeping on the couch, hugging the stool since he was chained to it. 

The shaman wondered why he was chained to something he could easily carry around. Then, Li Feng figured it was more of a tactic: even if Sun Yinxie escaped, wouldn't he stand out for having a sitting stool chained to him?

Liu Xiaodan didn't have a stool to sit on, and so he could only sit on the bed. "Director Sun, how are you? I heard the guardians are taking care of Mr. Five like a lost child just so he could start sleeping again. He must be so worried. What are you planning to do after getting discharged? He said you have an ancestral home somewhere."

"Hm. Who knows?" Director Sun chuckled, his mind not really merging this kind child with that monster Hades. "The Qiao family is rather meticulous. Mr. Li should finish his business with me while I'm still here. I can't really guarantee what happens next anymore."

"The Qiao family, huh..." Liu Xiaodan lowered his gaze, his eyes glinting in plain murderous brutality.
