When those words left his lips, Chuan Nayi felt like something else was going to happen. It would be very bad if they got attacked by something while Guangru was away. However, it was already at her face. The door was opening, and an image of a woman was looking at them from inside the dark room. It's just that when the door suddenly swung open, the lights turned on… and the woman had vanished.
Hao Chengyi reached out to lock the doors of the car, but he decided against it. Car doors would only impede the escaping humans. Right now, he should be mindful of thinking that this thing shouldn't be able to hurt him. Then again, there was this strange feeling welling inside him that wanted him to flee from the scene.
Soon, the environment started to dim. Even if there was an abundant amount of sunlight flashing at the building, the parking spaces were under the shade of a huge tree. For some reason, the branches seemed to shift with the wind and cast a shadow on the parking spaces.
All of a sudden, the two saw a silhouette of a woman standing in front of them. The thing was that… it only lasted for a second. It was just from the surge of the tree's shadow. Still, Hao Chengyi didn't like what he just saw. More when he suddenly felt like the temperature in the car was growing colder.
"Release me..." The radio that was turned on while waiting suddenly produced a strange human voice that was not supposed to be in the song. Then, the radio died as the car started its engine on its own.
"This isn't good! Guangru!" Chuan Nayi called out as she tried to get out of the car. However, the locks had all activated and prevented them from leaving. She then turned to Hao Chengyi who chose to be calm in the event of a haunting. The woman only watched him stay in his seat, putting his seatbelt on—which she did as well.
From Hao Chengyi's perspective, he could see a strange woman in the backseat. This must be the same one that he had seen peeking from the office. However, he couldn't tell what she was trying to do. Yes, she was running a haunting, but what would happen to them? Since he couldn't escape it, he could only focus on trying to counter everything that the ghost would throw at him.
Perhaps even an entire car.
The car they were in suddenly drove straight into the building. Chuan Nayi and Hao Chengyi braced for the impact, but it rammed right into the wall that could be broken. Bang! Even the men from inside saw how Hao Chengyi's car smashed through the wall.
"Get out of the way!" Mian Lunsen yelled as the men dispersed. The car was headed their way and tried to run them over. When it drove past them and almost crashed into the wall, it felt like someone just stepped on the brakes. Actually, Hao Chengyi had been kicking the brakes since it started moving.
"Meng-meng!" Upon seeing that the car was not empty, Mian Lunsen called out to the boyfriend. However, the car reversed and swerved to actually crash towards him. "Motherf.u.c.ker! Let them go!"
Guangru hopped off of the shaman, and Mian Lunsen actually jumped towards the speeding car. His body slammed against the windshield in a secured roll, and he grabbed onto the top part. He then started fixing himself on it as it tried to drive around in a frenzy. As if being able to make a hand seal, another blast of purification exploded from his body.
A loud scream of a woman echoed, and they felt a coldness flying into the air after the scream. The car suddenly stopped when Hao Chengyi stepped on the brakes. He and Chuan Nayi actually got out of the car hurriedly while the man pulled on Mian Lunsen who nursed his back.
"Release me! Insolent humans!" The woman's screams echoed again, and her voice carried a chill that froze most of them. However, Guangru only huffed as he appeared in front of Chuan Nayi, his back facing the mother. "Who are you? You dare hurt my mother?"
"Silence! Dirty creatures like you can never be enough to speak with me!" The screams echoed again, and the shadows surged as the woman was born from the convergence. That was the only time that Mian Lunsen got a good look at what attacked them. Thankfully, Guangru was around… else, he wouldn't know if he could save himself from this demon!
Guangru was not happy with the demon's response. However, the mere fact that he wasn't attacking outright was sending a strange message to Chuan Nayi. Why did he not attack the thing that harmed his mother? Could it be that… this thing was stronger than him? "Guangru, what's wrong? Why are you not attacking?"
For the first time, Guangru only glanced at Chuan Nayi. Well, in Chuan Nayi's perspective. For everyone else, it was normal for the child to act like a demon towards strong ones. He then held onto the black horse still, not leaving the visage of a small child.
He then spoke, "I thought you want to be released. If I don't know your name, how can I release you?"
"Who dares to speak to me this way?!" The woman started to scream again, freezing everyone as if she had blown the winds of Everest on their fragile bodies. Only Guangru was standing as if all the tall people had held up the crashing sky. That was why the woman didn't dare attack him as well. This child… could easily withstand her.
"I don't have a name when I regained consciousness, but my Baba gave me the name Guangru. I don't serve anyone, but my Baba has ties with the Mian family that's probably the same people who locked you up." Guangru began to smile, but his smile was malevolent. "Now, give me a name. I can release you from your binds."
"Why would you do that if you're with them?" The woman hissed, not believing that this thing was only being altruistic in releasing bound demons.
Guangru started to giggle before wooden vines started to break out of the floor. It created steps for him to get closer to the floating shadow woman. "Baba needs demons to help him. I'll release you, but I'll bind you to someone again. At least, there will be more chances to feed… unlike this barren place… where the sun hits you..."
The woman actually moved as if enraged, like a kite in a storm. Her movements were so revolting and frightening that the shadows started to change into the shapes of monstrous faces of anger. "You dare tell me that you're binding me to someone again?! Never! Never! I refuse!"
The smile on Guangru's lips suddenly fell. "...then perish."
