Chapter 590 - 177: She Is A Troublemaker

Iris' cheeks grew red with sudden, and she thought to herself, "What an arrogant person! She laughs at me. Good for her."

"Pearl, how dare she be!"

"That's okay. There is still time."

Pearl looked confident. She knew what kind of person Catherine was. Catherine was not cruel though she pretended to be harsh.

"If Sean doesn't love her, how can she be so arrogant? If Sean doesn't love you. You are nothing," Pearl thought to herself.

"I just can't control myself. I need to teach her a lesson now," said Iris.

Pearl smiled. She had the same feeling too.

"You can't beat her," said Pearl.

Iris was embarrassed. She didn't know how to answer.

"Unlike you, she is shameless."

Iris agreed, but she felt shameful. She had never expected that she couldn't beat Catherine, who was younger than her.

"There is a welcome party for the freshman at the end of the month. And every department will also hold some activities."

All of a sudden, an idea comes into Iris' mind, "I just heard that she couldn't sing very well."

Iris thought it was an excellent opportunity.

Catherine stood against a banyan tree on the playground. She saw more and more newcomers in camouflage uniforms walking toward the playground.

"Young men are energetic."

Ethel and Cecil walked over, giving Catherine a bottle of water and a paper bag.

"You must be angry. Eat something."

"You are so good. But I have had dinner."

"Really?"

"One of my friends gave me some food."

"That's good."

Anna didn't go with Ethal and Cecil because she was unwell.

"You should go to the toilet now if necessary. Otherwise, the drill instructor will come soon."

The drill instructor didn't care whether Catherine was standing there or not. Although Catherine knew that, she stood there still because she just wanted to stay there waiting for the next round of training.

At 7 p.m., all of the freshmen gathered together in the playground.

Peer students who are from the same major gathered together to have a sorority party.

The drill instructor of Class 3 was teaching his students to sing an exciting song called The Army Goes Rolling Along.

When they were singing the song, seniors who passed by all looked back.

Suddenly, the drill instructor called Catherine.

Catherine was shocked. She raised her head and asked embarrassedly, "What? I sing the song?"

"That's right. You."

Everyone turned to look at Catherine, and some of the girls started to gossip.

Catherine became a famous person in the Design department. Almost all students knew that Catherine was punished due to the conflict between her and the drill instructor.

"Um…. I can't sing. I am afraid I will scare all of you. If you want me to do something, I can tell a joke."

Thus, Catherine told a joke. The joke made everyone happy, except Madison.

The drill instructor didn't smile too. He always wore a serious expression.

"Thank you," said Catherine.

Ethel pulled Catherine's sleeve and let her sit down.

In the meanwhile, Madison stood up and said, "Since Catherine's throat is sore, I can sing the song for her if you insist on punishing her."

Catherine made an embarrassing smile and thought to herself, "It is not the punishment. What is her purpose? Why does she want to help me? Does she want to show a good relationship with me?"

"By the way, I forget to tell you that Madison is my cousin, and we have a good relationship. Madison knew what kind of music I like. Madison, sing the song you usually sing in the bar called Everything I Do. Rock music."

Catherine was speechless, and her expression changed.

"The drill instructor just asked you to sing The Army Goes Rolling Along."

"No. No. The drill instructor wants me to choose a song that I like. Since you are willing to sing the song for me, I want to pick this one. I would have planned to sing."

"Plan to sing it? She refused to sing at first. Obviously, she wants to make me embarrassed," Madison thought to herself.

It was a fight between Catherine and Madison.

Catherine thought to herself, "I didn't mean to let her sing the song for me, but she asked to do. Don't blame me."

Madison was angry and thought, "What a shameless woman!"

Catherine smiled and said, "Since that you mean to sing the song, why not have a try?"

"Uh-huh. Forget about it. You know my throat is sore. I think you must be scared when I sing. Forget about it."

Ethel couldn't help but laugh.

"Sing it. Sing it," some students cheered.

"Really?"

"Sing!"

"Okay. Since all of you guys are so passionate, I will start."

Catherine cleared her throat and sang, "Everything I do."

Everyone was speechless. Catherine was utterly out of tune through just four words she sang. It seemed that Catherine was singing a Beijing Opera.

People were shocked.

"Oh. All of you are astonished. Is it too beautiful? You like it very much? Okay, go on."

"No. Stop it."

"Don't sing again. Terrible."

"Listening to beautiful music makes people happy, but it is too terrible."

Catherine answered innocently, "You let me sing it."

"You stop."

"All right. Madison, please sing the song called Everything I Do. Big hands for her."

Madison was surprised to find it was her turn. She was so nervous.

"Good for her. She is a troublemaker. It is hard to sing it," Madison thought to herself.

Everyone was looking forward to enjoying the song that Madison sang. But nothing special.

Catherine smiled and thought, "How could it be? Is she afraid that her throat gets hurt? Or she is afraid of being laughed at?"

"Something is wrong. It is too soft."

"She should scream. I am not touched."

"I think she can't express herself in this song because she hasn't experienced it before. She didn't know what love is."

The class monitor started clapping. Some students also followed because they thought, in any case, Madison had the courage and protected her cousin. It is worth applauding for her.

Madison did help Catherine.

Instructor Hunter finally forgave Catherine.

Everything was fine, but everyone knew Catherine.
