Chapter 598 - 185: You Don’t Have To Know

The day after Catherine got back, Ethel texted her that there was a new military instructor.

They replaced Hunter and the other three instructors involved in the fight. Ethel was excited to tell Catherine the new instructor was much handsome and forgiving. They weren't terrified of military training. Instead, they were eager to do it.

Catherine connected the dots. The day before, Sean got into the fight, and the instructors were replaced. It must be Sean who pulled strings. If the mayor's son got into the fight, he would be okay.

"Honey."

Although Catherine was embarrassed to call Sean that, he seemed pleased, and his looks would turn gentle every time, she called him that. Catherine told herself she had to get used to it, starting by calling him "honey".

"Yes?"

"They replaced our instructors. Did you do it?"

Sean didn't respond.

When he got silent, it usually meant the answer was yes. Catherine was right. She realized that Sean knew to hold a grudge.

"What happened to the old ones?"

"You don't have to know."

"Okay."

It didn't matter if Catherine did know. But she could tell Sean took it personally after the incident with Hunter.

"Are you still mad?"

Seeing Catherine got much better, Sean was in a better mood.

"No."

Sean denied.

"Really?"

"Shut up."

Catherine was sure Sean was mad because of her.

"Is your hand better?"

"Yeah." Sean couldn't smell the potion.

"Don't you have to go to the office?"

"No."

Sean has decided to stay with Catherine in case she did something again.

"Okay," Catherine said, dropping her head, "I'm so bored."

Sean said, "Do you mean staying with me is boring?"

Catherine trembled with the augmented tension in the air. She hurried to shake her head, "Of course not. I didn't mean it."

Then Sean gave her a fashion magazine. Catherine flipped through and said with surprise, "Are these from Taylor Inwood's spring/fall collection?"

Knowing Catherine was interested in design, Sean would buy any books or clothes related to it if he saw any. Although Catherine could be ungrateful sometimes, Sean was pleased to see her bright smile. Only he hid how he felt.

"Do you know who owns Taylor Inwood?" asked Sean.

"No. But whoever it is, they must be wonderful to run such a great studio. The designers working for them are cool. They are so much better than Feather's."

"Taylor Inwood's boss is Karl Johnson."

"I never heard of his name. Wait, Johnson? Do you mean-"

"Yes. He's related to Pearl Johnson."

"You're not that stupid."

Catherine took a deep breath, "Pearl is in the same major as I do. But she's a junior."

Catherine then realized how powerful her business opponent was. This was a tough realization. How naive was she to poach some designers from them?

Besides, Pearl always thought of Catherine as a rivalry. Taylor Inwood was the best in fashion design. It would be too easy to bully Feather.

"Do you feel inferior?"

"No way." With that being said, Catherine wasn't confident. After all, Johnson's family was much powerful.

Taylor Inwood in Catherine's last life was a huge success. The women's line was a big hit among girls. The only company worthy of being its opponent was JJ Studio, led by Ken Hosk.

At that time, Feather was on the verge of bankruptcy. Madison didn't make enough money. But her family got better after she became an actress.

"I'll be better than her," Catherine said.

Sean smiled and didn't put a damper on her enthusiasm.

"Go and lie on the bed if you're not feeling well."

"I'm not sleepy."

"Behave."

"Do you need to go to work?" Catherine thought she saw Andrew.

"Yeah. You go to rest, and I'll go to study."

Catherine knew Sean was busy with work. Running a huge company like his wouldn't be easy even if had good staff. Major decisions came down to him.

"And JJ Studio, the one you asked about last time, I bought it. Have fun."

"What?"

Catherine didn't realize what she was talking about for one second.

"I thought you wanted it."

"Not really. I'm just asking about it."

"It's a small one that's going bankrupt. It's legally yours."

Catherine wasn't gonna buy JJ Studio. She was curious why Ken chose it. Wasn't Feathers on his list?

"I'm not interested. I can barely manage Feathers.'

"I'll ask them to run for you. When you feel like it, you can go."

Although neither company was big, Catherine was the legal owner. She was processing the news while Sean went ahead to the study.

"Wester."

On the screen was a face similar to Sean's. But Wester Blair was more masculine with a sharp look. It only took one look to tell he was a soldier.

"As you wish, I transfer Hunter to Ethan Hanc.o.c.k's battalion," Wester said.

One trembled at the name of Ethan Hanc.o.c.k in the army. He had the soul of a devil although he was young. Drilling new recruits harshly were his specialty, especially soldiers who made mistakes.

Ethan and Wester were close friends. So Sean knew about Ethan.

Sean thought Hunter deserved it. He would suffer.

"Thanks, man," Sean said.

Wester said, "You don't look like a husband 100% devoted to his wife. Nothing ever happened to Catherine, and you came to her campus to fight my men. I guess you sweep all over your feet."

Wester thought that Sean fighting his men was a rumor at first. He couldn't imagine how their paths crossed.

Besides, Sean was not an impulsive man unless he was really mad. Then Wester found out it was for Catherine. He didn't know whether to laugh at him or give him a compliment for standing up for his wife. At last, he did what Sean asked for.

"I don't think you will stand by and watch if anything should happen to your wife." Sean teased.

"Hey!" Wester said.

Blair men were very protective of their wives. They both knew that.

"I'm on leave next month. Why don't you take your wife and come back?" asked Wester.

Sean said, "You already met her."

"It's not the same."

Wester didn't know Sean was so serious about Catherine.

"Okay," Sean answered.
