Chapter 612 - 199: You Deserve The Honor

"Catherine, you won! Oh my God, I'm so excited. I need to relax. Give me a glass of water."

The other three girls were so thrilled that they hugged one another like they won a 5 million lottery.

"Catherine, you defeat Pearl! You are our new Miss Gorgeous."

Catherine was texting Sean to tell him about it. Their screaming gave her a headache. She had to rub her temple and said, "It's okay. The first and second aren't that different."

Catherine wondered how she could win. It seemed unlikely since Pearl stayed here two more years than she did. She must have a wide social connection. Teachers and students should like her, not Catherine. Catherine thought there was something odd about it.

Catherine told Sean how she won the contest of Miss Gorgeous mysteriously. And she joked that she was the most undeserving Miss Gorgeous in the history of Kings College.

Sean was sitting in the study and staring at the Miss Gorgeous vote.

"You deserve the honor. You have to trust yourself. You're my woman, and I know you are worthy than that title,"

"But Pearl is more beautiful than me. She's attractive and popular."

Sean thought for a while and texted, "You're the best as far as I know."

Catherine suddenly got blushed, staring at the message. She didn't write back a while later, "Is it because we're lovers?"

"I like how you call us."

Catherine had to cover her cheek since it got redder and redder. She felt Sean was telling her he loved her.

"Catherine, why aren't you pleased?"

Catherine looked up at Ethel and said, "There is nothing to be pleased about."

Catherine only won the contest by having about 100 more votes than Pearl. She didn't feel like it was a good win. And Pearl was very popular in school. Her fans wouldn't give up so easily.

"Hey, you're right. There are some negative comments."

Ethel looked at the comments. They were posted not long ago. They weren't nice.

Some said, "What qualifies Catherine to be voted Miss Gorgeous? She's a joke."

"Catherine must have her face done. Her expression was stiff."

"Catherine must have cheated."

"How could we give such an honor to her?"

Kings College was the most noted university in London. They recruited students all over the country. They were all elites. The economic development depended on aluminum graduating from Kings College, which was an important talent base.

Miss and Mr. Gorgeous of Kings College represented the best college in London. Some didn't think Catherine was the right face. Pearl was at least ten times more beautiful, and she should be voted Miss Gorgeous.

"These jealous jerks! Pearl lost the vote, and how come it is Catherine's fault?" Ethel complained.

"The vote was public. There was no way Catherine cheated. They are just haters."

"But it affected Catherine terribly. Can we delete them?"

Catherine said, "Fame is a double-sided blade. I've told you this vote isn't so good. But you ignored me. Now you know what I'm talking about."

"Catherine, aren't you mad?"

"I already know something like this would happen."

Catherine even suspected that Pearl was the one behind her winning. So she could make her the center of attention. So Catherine would experience a crushing fall.

Or how could Catherine have so many votes as a freshman before she started working on social connections?

Catherine thought the vote must be cheated.

"Hey, you're over this?" Ethel said,

Catherine didn't respond. She bent over to text Sean.

Ethel was too naive, Catherine thought. She didn't know how vicious men could be. Honor could be a risk in disguise.

Being voted Miss Gorgeous made her a target causing Catherine trouble. So she wouldn't get smirky about winning.

Fame brings about attention. If Catherine slipped, her mistake would be exaggerated to the extent that she couldn't be forgiven for what she did. Then she would be despised and abandoned.

Sean saw the vicious comments too. Before he called Andrew, he called first and said the comments had been deleted.

Sean looked at the Kings College website and said coldly, "I don't want to see anything like this."

Andrew answered, "Yes, Sir."

Andrew wiped off the cold sweat on her forehead. He was busy all evening voting for Catherine. He didn't take her eyes off the computer for one second in case Pearl had more votes.

Andrew knew Catherine meant a lot to Sean. But he didn't understand why he had to help Catherine win. Sean asked Andrew to delete the vicious comments, and Andrew thought it was a waste of his talent. And he wondered how Sean came to know about this.

Actually, thanks to Iris' Facebook post, Andrew knew she was asking for help to vote for Pearl. Then he mentioned it to Sean casually. The boss asked him to be a hacker to delete the bad comments.

When Catherine went to classes the next day, they were all talking about her. Her class monitor was glad. He asked her to attend the class event this week.

Catherine wondered whether it was a celebration.

The class monitor felt it was such an honor that Miss Gorgeous was in the class. The look from other guys was more eager.

Catherine couldn't help shaking. She felt like a zoo animal.

"Catherine, the way they look at you is different."

Catherine faked a smile. She wasn't interested in the title at all.

Ethel said, "Catherine, you earned it. Don't worry."

"Hey, why don't we go out and celebrate? Catherine, you pay for the event, okay?"

Catherine clenched her fists.

"Okay. Let's ask Sophia to come too. She was fourth place."

The first was Catherine, followed by Pearl, Iris, and Sophia, who had more votes than Madison. Sophia's indifference impressed all.

Catherine looked at her three friends with big smiles and decided to go along with it.

"Hey, congratulations, Catherine."

As Catherine sat down, she heard Madison's voice. But her look was gloomy.

"It's nothing. You're not so bad."

"But standing at such a high place might not be a good thing."
