Chapter 643 - 230: Darling, Say Something

It was late fall. Catherine had spent a peaceful month.

Catherine had already adapted herself to college life. She usually stayed in the classroom, dorm, and library. Occasionally, Catherine discussed design issues with Ken. And if she made clothing, she would show it to Ken.

Ken was strict with Catherine. He was sarcastic and usually gave her mean comments directly. But in general, he became kinder to Catherine.

As for Elliot, he usually walked around Catherine's classroom. Although he tried to pretend that he just passed her classroom, it was not hard to find the truth if people thought carefully.

Anna was unhappy to find Elliot loved Catherine. Besides, other roommates of Catherine were okay with it.

It was true that Ethel liked to see handsome boys, but she knew she wasn't good enough for beautiful boys.

As for Cecil, she had no particular feelings for handsome boys. She thought love would come sooner or later.

After the calculus class, Catherine carried her bag and walked to the school gate. Some were waiting for her at the gate.

Suddenly, Elliot showed up and asked, "Catherine Stewart, would you like to have lunch with me?"

"No, I want to go home."

"Could you please give me a chance?" asked Elliot.

Elliot had asked Catherine to have lunch many times, but Catherine always refused him. He was so embarrassed about it.

Elliot thought to himself, "I had never met a girl who treated me coldly. It is the first time. Poor me."

"The food had been prepared. My family is waiting for me. I gotta go."

"Where do you live? I can send you back."

Elliot had a cool Ferrari. Catherine had seen it before when Elliot drove the car around her. When Catherine saw it, she was speechless and rolled her eyes. She thought Elliot liked to show off.

"Next time," said Catherine.

Catherine walked faster and faster, but Elliot still followed her.

Catherine was annoyed and asked, "Elliot Holloway, what the hell do you want to do?"

"I want to send you home."

"I don't need it. Someone will pick me up."

"If you refuse me, I will keep following you."

Catherine glared at him and said, "You have a mental illness."

"Do you have medicine?"

"Do you want to have medicine for healing impaired-brain?"

It was true that Catherine didn't want to have any relationship with Elliot. Elliot would have planned to play hard to get, but now he finally understood that Catherine didn't like him at all.

Catherine had been thinking about how to pull him away. When she walked to the gate of the university, Elliot directly held her hand, walking to the parking lot.

"You don't have to take the bus or subway. I will send you home, and it will be faster. You said your family is waiting for you."

"Let me go!" shouted Catherine.

"Why not obey me?"

"Why shall I obey you?"

"You forget yourself, girl."

"So what?"

Elliot looked unhappy. He tried to control himself and said, "fine. You won't be tender and gentle to me."

Elliot thought to himself, "I like her personality."

Suddenly, Catherine saw Sean's car, and she became anxious.

The car door opened.

Drew walked to Catherine and said with great respect, "Miss. Catherine, let's go home. You can get in the car now."

"Okay."

Drew was standing beside Catherine. When he saw Elliot was holding Catherine's hand, he thought to himself, "alas! What a brave man! I can't believe he is holding Mrs. Blair's hand. He will die.

"Elliot Holloway, one of my family members, come to pick me up. Now you should let me go."

Elliot had to let her go. He wished her family would have a good impression on him.

In the end, Elliot reluctantly lost his hand.

"Drive safe. You should call when you arrive."

Catherine's mouth gave a slight twitch and thought to herself, "the words he said assume an ambiguous relationship. Drew will start to doubt. I need to tell Elliot right off the bat. Otherwise, he won't give up."

"Mr. Blair is in the car," said Drew in a low voice.

Catherine stopped all of a sudden. She was terrified and even wanted to escape.

Drew knew it and said, "Mrs. Blair, if you go away, Mr. Blair will be angrier."

Catherine stared at Drew and said, "Drew Baker, you can read my mind?"

Drew answered peacefully, "Mrs. Blair, it is misconduct. I think you should explain it clearly. Mrs. Blair looked annoyed."

Drew opened the car door for Catherine.

Catherine hesitated and stopped. After a while, she finally got into the car.

Sean sat in the back seat with legs folded. He looked cold, reading a doc.u.ment without taking a glance at Catherine.

"Let's go."

Drew stepped on the gas pedal and went away from Kings College soon.

Elliot kept his eyes on Catherine until the car went away.

Elliot believed the car must be expensive. It was a global limited edition Bugatti worth more than 20 million dollars. He couldn't but frowned, "What is Catherine's family background?"

Catherine didn't move after getting into the car. She put her bag in both arms, which made her better, giving her a sense of safety.

Catherine was afraid to get close to Sean or talk to him.

Sean kept his eyes on the doc.u.ment.

About ten minutes later, Sean took out his pen, signed his name on the last page, closed the doc.u.ment, and then threw it away with a snap.

Catherine was scared because of the snap, "It is normal to feel guilty. Although I did nothing wrong, Sean believes it is my fault."

"Darling, have you done your job?" Catherine looked at Sean carefully and asked.

"The man is a junior student in computer science. He thought my home is far away from the university and the bus is too crowded, so he wanted to send me back. But I refused him. I know you will come to pick me up," explained Catherine.

Catherine knew she had to explain everything at first. Otherwise, Sean became furious.

"Darling, I find you look more handsome. Your class totally attracted me. I always tell myself that I am so lucky to have such a good man as my husband. Thank god."

Drew knew Catherine was flattering Sean by exaggerated words, but these words did make Drew disgusted.

However, Sean still said nothing.

Catherine kept her courage to get close to Sean and held his arms, "Darling, do you miss me?"

Catherine thought the words she said were disgusting too.

Sean just squinted at her.

"Darling, say something. I am a little scared," said Catherine.

Sean's eyes looked very scared.

"Are you scared?" asked Sean coldly.

Catherine said to herself, "He starts to say something now. I am scared."

"Of course. The way you looked at me is too terrifying. I am not a brave person; I am afraid I will be a fool if I am frightened. Do you want me to be a fool?"
