Chapter 652 - 239: I Don't Get Jealous

After class, most students have left the class. Catherine picked up her books and purses and was about to leave when Elliot approached her, looking at her condescendingly, blocking her way.

"Catherine, don't forget to come and see my match in the gym," Elliot said.

Catherine had decided to go, but not for Elliot.

"Why do you challenge Professor Sean to a basketball match? Is it fun to mess with someone you're not sure what he's capable of ?" asked Catherine.

Elliot looked around and noticed Sean. He lowered his voice, "I don't like him."

Catherine didn't respond. But she knew the dislike was mutual since Sean wouldn't go easy on Elliot too. On the other hand, Elliot asked for it. Catherine already told Sean not to go against Elliot's family, but he didn't seem to appreciate it.

"He's our professor," Catherine said.

It was normal students didn't like their teachers. But few would challenge them to a match. Besides, this was the first time Elliot met Sean. Catherine couldn't understand why Elliot didn't like him.

"It's not because of who he is or who he isn't," Elliot said.

Catherine said with the book, "Whatever. I'm leaving."

"But it's lovely out there. Do you want to take a walk with me?" asked Elliot.

Catherine's look couldn't get worse. Elliot was coming on to her in front of her husband.

"I'm sorry. I have plans."

"Don't forget the match starts at five." Elliot came after her, "I'll take you out to dinner after the game."

Catherine was furious. She didn't know whether Elliot was being a fool or did what he did on purpose.

"Elliot, Catherine has plans for tonight."

"With whom? Ken?"

"No."

"Then who is it?" Elliot said aggressively.

Ethel said, "With us. We have talked about shopping. But we'll go to the match. Elliot, why don't you go ahead and be prepared for the game? Be careful, Professor Sean might crush you."

"I won't lose. Sean looks so weak. I don't think he knows anything about basketball."

Ethel suddenly recalled how Sean fought four military instructors the other day. She looked at Elliot with sympathy, "I believe you. Good luck."

Sean came out of the classroom and looked at them coldly.

Ethel trembled, "We have to go."

Anna tried to say something, but she didn't. She left too.

"Professor Sean?" Elliot asked with both hands in his pockets.

Sean didn't respond.

Catherine cleared her throat, "Goodbye, Professor."

"Going back to the dormitory? Let's go together."Sean said.

"Okay," Catherine said.

Elliot was in so much shock that Catherine followed Sean.

"That's not how a teacher is supposed to behave, even if he is hot," Elliot said and couldn't stand Sean. He admitted that Sean was good-looking. But he was older. He didn't believe that Catherine would fall for him.

"Why do you agree to the challenge? Elliot was provoking you."Catherine said.

Sean kept his lips pursed, and his look was indifferent. He wasn't in a good mood.

"It's one thing Elliot acted like a kid. You shouldn't have played along."Catherine continued.

Sean stopped and turned around, "Do you think I'm being childish?"

Catherine was surprised by his look and hurried to say, "I think we don't have to pay him any attention."

"He has to learn a lesson," Sean said.

"Are you jealous?" asked Catherine.

"I don't get jealous," Sean said immediately.

That didn't sound like denial at all, Catherine said to herself.

"You wait and see how I teach him a lesson," Catherine said.

Catherine didn't rebuke, knowing Sean was mad. She said, "Yes. You will give him a lesson he won't forget for his life. So he will know better than to mess with you."

Sean then looked better.

At five o'clock, Sean and Elliot turned up at the court.

Catherine and her friends got seats with good views.

"Don't worry, Catherine. Professor Sean will win. I trust him."Ethel said.

"I know. I believe in him."Catherine said. She has confirmed it by calling Andrew.

"Luckily, we get here early, or we won't secure any seats. Professor Sean's fame precedes his reputation. Everyone wants to see him at the basketball court."Ethel said.

"Shouldn't you support Elliot? Didn't you give your seat up the second you saw him in our classroom this morning? Ethel, you're his fan."Catherine said.

Ethel smiled, "I'm not, okay? If I have to choose to idolize between Elliot and Professor Sean, I won't hesitate to go for Sean. He's so much more good-looking than Elliot!"

"You silly girl." Catherine smiled.

"Aren't we all attracted to beautiful men? I know I do. Don't you?" asked Ethel.

Catherine didn't answer.

"I believe you have to hold back the urge to do something to Sean every time you look at his gorgeous face," Ethel said.

Down on the court, Elliot said, "Sir, won't you get changed?"

Sean had the same dress from when he taught calculus class. The elegant way he stood with composure overshadowed the surroundings.

"I don't have to," Sean said.

Sean rolled up his sleeves a bit, and the firm arms were shown.

"Okay. Let's start."Elliot said.

"Okay," Sean said.

Sean let Elliot have the ball at first as a courtesy. Elliot smiled, trying to go around him for the shoot.

The rule was who made the first three goals won.

Elliot didn't consider Sean as a match at all. He believed he was invincible and could the goals easily. Unfortunately, he realized he made a mistake soon.

Sean took the ball from Elliot and made the first goal fast. And it was a three-point.

"Oh my God, Professor Sean made the first goal!" There was crying from the audience.

Elliot's look couldn't get worse. He underestimated Sean, who hid his skills.

Sean made the next two goals easily and made another two. So he scored five balls. On the other hand, Elliot didn't get to touch the ball, let alone make the goal. He was crushed.

In the match Elliot asked for, he lost miserably. In one month, he lost first to Ken and then to Sean. He couldn't be more humiliated.
